hey everybody! welcome back. not muted this time, but i did want to check. and it looks like we'll be playing the regent again. i'm gonna respect him. i'm gonna respect him and i'm gonna call him their actual name. and now i'm gonna realize that perhaps i'm misgendering the regent and i'm gonna apologize for that. i don't know what's going on, okay? i'm just... i'm just... i'm trying to make it work. i've been flustered. i'm on a 72 game losing streak.
-
0:26
but you know what they say, all you need is a chip and a chair. and i mean the chip is fat and the chair is plush when your first card reward has glam. because it could be, oh it could be so many beautiful things. oh, you're dead and i didn't take damage. that's good sequencing. okay, this is, you actually have to think about this. forging 10 per turn does seem kind of crazy. gaining 12 vigor,
-
0:58
depending on the cards you have can obviously be really good. forging... i mean, this is kind of insane too because you forge 18 and then you get the energy required to play the sovereign blade on the next turn. this scales so fast though. i think this is faster but this is like long term better. i don't even want to see the shop. i'm just going to be disappointed by what's inside. i never should have selected that path but
-
1:35
i think that this will be good mood food for us, man. with the start of your turn, forge 10. we are taking 8, but that's just the way it goes against the stinker beetle, man. 21 damage, we get the kill. could have been a lot worse. and then we want obviously forge related cards. am i crazy to think we don't even need to forge 5 more? what happens when you get upgraded? forge 7, i assume. i think we literally pass on that and just focus on things that make the blade
-
2:14
do more damage, generate block for us, etc, etc. skill with nimble 2. alright, man. i mean, i honestly i'm kind of looking at this like the same way you look at a silent deck that is driven by noxious fumes like you. oh my god, that's actually good. that's good enough. like we want to build blocks so that the poison can do what it does. get a little extra strength. we need more card rewards. so i probably should have selected a different path to be honest, but
-
2:49
first one comes out with how much? 21 damage? i mean, it's pretty quick too. spoils a battle, forge 5, draw 2. this would have been so good with the vigor. actually, that would have been so good with the vigor too. i think an astral pulse will be playable though. we want that out as early as possible, of course. do we want to play it? 21 damage. forges 10 per turn. you probably want to save it and play it on the turn in which you have vulnerability. that makes more sense to me.
-
3:32
because i mean, it'll be stronger, but then also they will be vulnerable, which is, of course, huge for us. 25 damage. we're not going to be blocking this turn. then hopefully we can just do 22 damage to you on the next turn. i can tell you that that is not going to happen, but we can take low amounts of damage and then just draw the blade again. ok. this will do seven damage twice and then seven. we're like, we're so close.
-
4:04
how about eight damage twice and then nine? okay, now we're talking. and strength on me early on i can't be mad, man. give me a manifest authority as well. okay. and then i kind of like our pathing here, man. free block on our second turn. beautiful. a beautiful thing. the forging gets that much better. we should have a few opportunities to upgrade some cards, i think. yeah, yeah, we won't be playing that, obviously.
-
4:34
it's funny they put a card in your hand that basically just kills you if you play it. maybe i have limited vision? i mean, that's what it says on my driver's license to be honest, so it wouldn't surprise me, but seems like a very dangerous card. let's put it that way. 25. i mean, we're... 25. we can do 45 damage this turn. not enough to get a kill. let's wait until presumably in the next two turns we'll get vulnerability and then kill you. or we'll just kill you.
-
5:08
we don't need this. maybe you want to keep the stars, man. okay. forge seven sovereign blade hits all enemies. now we're talking. please be innate. oh, it would have been really nice. the four extra forge means very little to me. what means a lot to me? upgraded colorless card, a little bit more block. great boss for us to have aoe on the sovereign blade as well. wait, you're hitting me? that's not nice. i mean, don't kill me now that i've got the dream.
-
5:46
i have the dream! 32 damage. oh, so nice. so very, very nice. vulnerable potion probably beats the stars potion. we should probably use like any potion. summon! oh my god, don't make me fight, please! yes, heal! oh, sohn. first time you play it gain energy. i have to heal. i'm sorry, i have to heal. they basically gave me a cooked campfire here. i recognize sohn could be so good for us, man, but let's... in this case...
-
6:23
let's upgrade. i mean, i really just feel like the block's gonna be more important, but you upgrade your rares, man. it's what you do. i really feel like this run's got a crazy line right now. we do need to solve our defensive woes, but we are otherwise pogging profusely. turn two, we probably don't even need the block. we love to have the seeking edge.
-
7:04
does 36 damage to all enemies. we could need the block, but our block only blocks for three. you'd really rather... what is this? it's gonna add eight to this? you're getting 14 off it on the next... 14 will take you to the point where you kill. i think like... i'm thinking. i'm thinking that you are gonna do 23. you know what i'm thinking, man? i'm thinking it's better to do this.
-
7:47
take a little bit of damage, but make your blade stronger forever. and then it only does 43. but by playing it now, we get the value out of it and we cycle it back into the rotation. we're doing 9 damage. let's minimize that. 72 damage to all enemies. now, i mean, that's pretty nice. but i do feel like we're better off waiting because we might be able to play vulnerability alongside it.
-
8:31
another thing we could do is play it for 82 and then bring it back to our hand and play it next turn and kill you. maybe with a little vulnerability. ooh! okay. the start of your turn, draw an exhaust one card from your hand. so there is something to say about an heirloom hammer that copies the sovereign blade. i think it's too expensive. i honestly think that this deck works. now, i obviously don't know what i'm talking about either. so you shouldn't take me that seriously, but...
-
9:14
playing a skill immediately does seem nice, man. and i think like just playing manifest authority at the start of every turn, the start of every round for free, every combat for free seems mighty nice. okay, give me a second here. play four random attacks from your discard pile. forge 11 sovereign blade hits all enemies. i think this is a beautiful turn. we're definitely going to play that.
-
10:06
we're definitely going to weaken you. i don't know why i even thought about it. i was like, we don't have to weaken him. we're blocking him fully. but i was like, we're not going to weaken you. it's going to take off like 0.75 damage. repeating, of course. 22 damage to all enemies. replay one, put sovereign blade in your hand from anywhere. well, this is it then. we simply do that. and then next turn we play it again. bro, we are cooking up a storm here. we are cooking up a storm.
-
10:38
obviously at this point a card has to be so good to make it into the deck. well obviously we'll fight to obtain the key. a card has to be so good to make it into the deck that it's almost mind boggling that they'd even have the audacity to offer me a card. you gotta play fairness. it has to be done. you don't, you need to save your stars to play the vulnerability though. the astral pulse is a scam here. because we definitely want to play this.
-
11:07
and then this, and then summon forth to bring it back for the next turn because we're taking such a modicum of damage, a mere modicum of damage. and on this turn we play it again and we kill you! we can take a cloak of stars. and of course we fought you to get lantern key, which i don't remember what it does but i think history lesson puts the first played attack or skill that you played back in your hand, which could be insane. uh, yeah, upgrade my starting hand, bro. you know i don't want the other options, just give me that option.
-
11:42
panache? not all that in a bag of chips, unfortunately, but it's okay. and not for this deck. i like it in other decks, but not for this deck. obviously you want a little of that. 22 damage. i'm trying to think, like a falling star into a sovereign blade. it's just not enough damage to be excited about, though. so i think you literally just play your cards. and then next turn, you're going to take half damage. how much do i have to hit you? five times. or i have to kill you.
-
12:19
and that's only gonna do 15 damage. uh, well that sucks. 15 more damage? i guess i'm just gonna hit you once and play some stars then you're gonna take away like almost all my health. well, almost half my health. sorry it was a little overdramatic i suppose. and then next turn we're gonna play a sovereign blade and kill you. that's because we didn't have our furnace bro! of course my sovereign blade sucked! i can't afford to lose that.
-
12:51
definitely i feel like one week, one vulnerable is worth adding because that's kind of like a second version of our kill shot. i think refined blade could do something and then you obviously have to cut basic strikes even though we have... oh god, i have to fight an elite on this level of hp? i should have dodged the shop, man! vigorous eight. first time his play deals eight additional damage. obviously really good on that but i feel like we gotta gain the max hp because it also works as kind of a heal.
-
13:27
but oh man, an astral pulse would have been crazy. who could have possibly known? who could have possibly seen this coming to pass? you still play that. 23 and you're doing what? 28? we don't need to get the blade going early. we need to get the blade going with the aoe. we're not cooked. stop saying we're cooked. there's no way you could conceivably know that. we have aoe coming on this turn. i have faith. i have no faith.
-
14:10
but you know what i do have? i have block that i will play without doing any math whatsoever. and you are doing 16, 23, 34 and i have 40. so we're going to forge more to ensure that next turn we get the kill. i think we still have one combat to do before we hit a campfire, which is like a horrible news, but still meal ticket just in time.
-
14:43
don't need the rod in war. no, we don't. oh, but we have to fight another elite right after. oh, but we got an eternal feather, man! can't find a feather, man! that's, that's actually huge. catastrophe. three random cards from the draw pile? i'm not a coward. it didn't even cost me my stars, so i guess, i guess i'm supposed to be sweating it, but i'm obviously not sweating it. i'm not even gonna
-
15:16
i'm not even gonna do it. i'm not even gonna make you vulnerable or keep you vulnerable at the cost of one daze. i want to draw my cards. you know the cards i want to draw? furnace. didn't draw it, by the way. could have done that in a much better order, man, because now i'm stuck with it in my hand and so i could have played it and then bounced it back. the furnace is very important. i think you still don't play it, but you can probably justify playing one strike. 32 damage.
-
15:52
i know what you're thinking, you're saying, and now why are you not playing your best card? and i'm wondering the same thing myself, but just wait. fencing manual at the start of each combat forge 10. i think i might've gotten really, really lucky there. you know what? we have the stars to play a quasar. please heal me somehow. oh my god. they did it. the madman actually did it. give me a speed potion, man. oh, i have full potions.
-
16:26
in that case, i think we're just gonna move along. orbit could have been interesting too. i'm actually glad i saved frozen ampoule, man. so we're forging. we could just put one in our hand right off. in fact, we already have one in our hand. so i'm just gonna stack it up. oh, to get the power on the next turn that gives us aoe. oh, to draw just like a starting hand, like your average starting hand. they're trolling me.
-
17:00
i had to go all in on that one, which is a little embarrassing. to get the power on this turn that, oh, they're trolling me even further still. another character to add into your hand. it's free to play this turn, but it costs one to do this. it's free to play this turn. 33 damage to all enemies. okay. solid, solid get there. plus you're dead. i don't think we need a second summon forth, man. i think we have a tight deck. it's doing what it's supposed to do. it might be slightly slow at it.
-
17:40
you know what? they gave us a second chance for the orbit. i'm not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth on this one. get some potions to keep you alive, rest to keep you alive. i'm not feeling like insNLy optimistic about this, but i think we make it through this enemy for sure, german. not really what you want to draw on the first turn, i think. this might be a play sovereign blade situation and then just wait for it to come back around. or you could bring it back, of course, but i don't think we play bolas.
-
18:26
i need to draw into my powers faster. 23 damage is not as bad as it looks. this is fine. you play an orbit, you play a frantic like sting on tantric like sting on guarantee to satisfy. 24 damage. i'm still chilling after all these years. let's stack up the forge like jordy. my dream is to have orbit and
-
19:09
summon fourth, pop on the same turn, ideally with vulnerability. three energy lets us get one energy back. so i'm gonna weaken you and vulnerable you. hits you for like 198 damage. then quasar. quasar to give us 13 blocks seems awesome. but then are we... we're very likely to draw a frantic. oh, we don't even need to draw a frantic. first off, because you have orbit. but secondly, you're retaining the cards in your hand because of the equilibrium, bro. huge.
-
19:43
i think you still don't play bolas. get it out of my face. you're gonna stop attacking me any minute now. we've still been forging this entire time. so you're coming back and doing 128 damage. wow, the math is mathing. and we didn't even use our flex potion for some reason. snap. it's when you see echo form, you take it. it's that simple. remove three cards at folly. unplayable, innate, ethereal, eternal.
-
20:21
but we could remove three cards, man. you gotta, you gotta. because we, all that matters is that we draw what we want to draw. it's the only thing that matters. best run we've had since i've been back, which feels nice. certainly this. haven't got orbit out there yet. would we rather just flex on him? or summon fourth on him, i should say? we don't have any spare forging. you scale over time. i think because you scale, we want to do the damage. take the damage now while we got a chance.
-
21:05
actually, that could be huge too. but we literally can't play it. low key a huge turn for us to not take damage but also get the void form out there. first two cards you play each turn are free. okay, okay, i can do this. i thought that would put it back in my hand. we do that, might as well. take 13 damage. not the way i drew it up, but then we get, this is good. where's my summon forth, bro? oh, i had it on turn one, didn't i? we're still fine. it just looks bad.
-
21:52
first attacker skill you play each turn is put on top of your draw pile. big because it gets the sovereign blade back. wait, are we literally gonna die? oh my god, we're dead?! to a basic konk! to maxwell's silver hammer?! well, thanks for watching. i hope you enjoyed the video. if you did, click the like button. it helps out a great deal. of course subscribe if you want to see more in the future. for now, thanks for watching. i'll see you next time. later!
