gamers, we're back with slay the spire 2. this is, look, i'm holding up yesterday's newspaper to prove that this is not live content from twitch tv. it's been a few days since we've had some slay the spire content. it's just the way it's going to be during the summer vacation. while my daughter is on summer break from school, while there is no school.

i don't have an afternoon anymore. i mean, i have an afternoon where i'm like a dad, but i don't have an afternoon to be like, should i... why did they make the fi no longer upgrade to two week? which honestly would be awesome if they could go back and change that now that they've added the aeon glass who was hard as you know what. but anyway, we're recording what we can when we get the time to do so. i love all three of these, even though apparently fishing rod is bad.
-
0:50
and i know it's going to upgrade strikes and defense, but the thing is what if it didn't? what if it upgraded zaps and dualcast, man? but i really like stone humidifier, but hefty tablet seems like the sort of thing you just gotta take, man. and really, like, i think echo form might be one of the best cards that defect has in the toolbox. the problem now is we have to find a way to play it, but the good thing is
-
1:19
were ra have you always started with two attacks? you've always started by basically saying like, oh yeah, and then we're not gonna get one. you've always started by basically saying like, hey, you're just you're gonna take a bunch of damage on turn one or is this like a new revelation? she comes round and she gets zapped by me, and i'll make you all look a drug for you. you know what i'm talking about? do whatever what you wanna do, come on over you. keep on did you know the dark history of that song?
-
1:49
that song? yeah, yeah, that song you didn't think about, uh, didn't think was about drugs even though they say doing crystal meth will lift you up until you break? yeah, it's about crystal meth, bro. oh my god, the more you know, dude. uh, anyway, we got shops where we can maybe get like, what's the card that gives us energy? is is double energy in this game or is that a is that a slay this buyer 1 classic?
-
2:14
if your hand is empty, draw two cards and gain two energy. things that will never happen. things that i have never seen happen in my entire existence playing this game but are going to happen right now. and then... oh, i really thought it was gonna enchant... restlessness is not a power, that makes sense. i mean, enchanting restlessness would be crazy. especially again, because it's not a power, but... eight damage.
-
2:48
not worth going in on the echo form early here. i think the dream for us, there's multiple ways that we could think about... i'm gonna take a chance. 50% chance. oh! there's multiple ways that we could think about echo form actually getting to the point where it's playable. one such way... i'm just thinking about how i'm gonna live my life here.
-
3:19
if i hit you for 9, this evokes for 8. twice. one of you is gonna die, but then i'll be out of energy. i could hit you, then it'll evoke... oh, it'll evoke 2 for 9? or am i crazy? i feel like i'm just gonna send it and whatever happens happens. yeah, well that doesn't get the kill though. if that doesn't get the kill, i feel like we might as well just summon another orb and get the kill next turn, but...
-
3:55
might have been a little bit of a misplay in there. we could get the extra energy to play it. that's obviously, well, that's also great. that's another way around it. but i was also thinking if we could just get anchor, i can't afford the hp, i think. that's another way, actually, our maneuver might not be horrible here, man. am i willing to take a chance? i'm gonna say no. i feel like this run's got long term potential but short term danger. we need some more block. and that was the other thing i was gonna say. if we could just get something like anchor, then,
-
4:27
jeez, we really need more block man. oh, never mind. we kill you. but if we could just get anchor then we have enough block on turn one to play echo form if we draw it, which is nice. let's get a cold snap just to have some kind of like block solution in theory at least. let's draw a bunch of defense for the first time on a turn in which we don't really need them.
-
4:52
and then let's draw no defense on the subsequent turn, which is really cool. our next power caused zero, so i don't mind taking a turn here to do something like that. now here, we need to put up as much block as possible. we need to not die. my thinking right here is, worst case scenario, we can drop the explosive ampoule on you. we probably don't need to though.
-
5:28
we need a leap desperately. we need a double rest into a good elite fight here and get some momentum. i think this is where this run could start to trend upwards a little bit. every five times you exhaust draw. this is a second rest situation for... i promise you it doesn't bring me any great pleasure to do that, but early echo form on turn one. i think you do it knowing that you're on an elite fight, knowing that you want to get that momentum as early as possible.
-
5:58
let me get something like that. oh, you have extra energy. okay. truth be told, i think we do okay with a double defend, man. i mean, it's not looking as awesome as i thought it would look. like at some point, i gotta hit you and do damage to you. it's not really working out the way i thought it would work out. we need to get you to 75.
-
6:32
right now you're gonna be on 81 so a strike gets you like exactly there which is i mean you being exactly there is not good. we would really like to have beaten you up more conclusively prior to this point i don't think you can dual cast on that one because we still need the orbs still need some damage from the orbs certainly need something like this and we're not dead a lot of people have said that we're dead. we're not dead yet and
-
7:05
you probably have to go in on this one. well, you know what? we don't actually have to go in on this one, but we should do the math. i can do 18 damage and add 2 to this, which takes us to 25. i can literally get exact lethal. okay. certainly we need something like a charge battery. our defense is all over the place right now.
-
7:35
contrary to what you might think, we're still not dead. but we are still in a position where i will never be able to play restless as long as i live, which is not good. and now i'm realizing we're dead, unless somehow this kills you, because the defense was not gonna get us there. that sucked, man. there was some ruthlessness going on. i didn't realize we were in as tight as we were. i was really
-
8:07
you know what? my deck wasn't bad. i'm just gonna blame it on sequencing. so i ran the bit of the side. trust me, this hurts me more than it hurts you because i've been playing the silent on the bike and i've been stuck on a20 for like two weeks. everybody else in the cycle went around in like four runs, but i've been stuck on the silent for like 30 runs. and i've been taking the noxious and the footwork and trying to make it happen, man. just hasn't worked out like that so far. i'll take the damage from a neos fury.
-
8:39
let's see. but the silent in slay the spire 2 is a cause for hope. i don't think anybody would dispute that. wait, you choose now with this? wait, that's incredible, man. it's a cause for hope because of the keyword that now i forget. sly. sly is the keyword. when you discard that card, it plays. like that already, that was a revelation, man.
-
9:14
you always need damage early, there's no doubt about that. but cloak and dagger is just like such a... i mean it's such a nice to have card in so many different situations. now am i gonna be the guy? like snakebite is now taking on a life of its own man. is it a meme, is it not? if it's a meme, it's a meme in the deck man. and give me some aoe as well. i do like backflip but we ain't quite there yet. enchant the card with sown. first time you play it, gain energy.
-
9:47
i do have this, i mean a nioh's fury being 10 damage bringing some cards back for free is awesome. snakebite costing one to apply seven poison. also mighty tempting. especially given that retain. starting to, i'm trying to put more value on retain because it seems like good players think retain is good. wait, choose up to, that's exactly what i want, these two cards. i'm starting to think of it as like
-
10:22
play it when you can instead of like it takes up space in your hand that doesn't do anything. it clogs up your hand for shivs. let's not think about it like that anymore. 147 gold, no shop on the horizon so we go. i'm in love with you, suki. it's been a while. it feels good to be back. it feels good to be back and saying stuff like that. and i mean if the whole point of this card is play it when you can, then we play it now.
-
10:53
i feel like we got a pretty good offensive setup right here. now here, let's bring back the snakebite and the flick flack, because then you can discard the flick flack, get some value out of it. crazy thing to say, but we can actually not take damage on this turn. and next turn, i can certainly ensure that you die before you put any more infections in our deck, which is awesome.
-
11:25
and then we get a free turn, which is crazy. so we will go all in on you. means you die before you get to attack, which means we only have to deal with, we would probably want to maybe even, i was gonna say tank some damage, but that's not the way that's gonna go down. we're gonna set it up like this, so hopefully we can get them offset. this is like the sentinels fight from slave to spire one. obviously not an ideal turn, but considering that these guys fill your deck with a bunch of detritus.
-
11:56
we gotta be feeling alright about the way things look right now. i think this is definitely a flick flack type situation, then maybe two of these and a small amount of damage taken. level with you, i think you get the kill on that guy. this turn's gonna stink, it's just the way it goes. kill before he attacks, but he did debuff us and the debuff from the infection card is like, you know, sometimes worse than the damage to be fair. like they still got one over on me. but we got you as well. this was not too bad.
-
12:33
kusarigama, i don't know how to feel about that. i love the double backstab early. we're being a little aggressive here. but maybe that aggression could serve us well. i think single target foe is exactly what we want to see. we can definitely backstab, backstab, defend neo's fury. this will do a kusarigama hit as well. and then just play one more of these. snake bite's gonna be big for us when we get it. we get it early.
-
13:04
to a defense take a little bit of damage. birdonis is on a clock right now that's what we like to see. a little kusarigama action still taking nine damage not awesome but the fight's over. finish it in style. amethyst, aubergine
-
13:22
you know, i feel like a piercing whale. we might benefit from that. we have to fight an elite no matter what, so let's stay aggressive, man. i like oddly smooth stone. i like it okay. probably there's a compilation i'm sure of me out there saying, who cares about this relic at all? it stinks, but i feel like, what does that guy know anyway? perfect strangle situation. strangle, and then you got a neo's fury, strangle again.
-
13:52
and then you go in with the super backstabs, it's a 100 damage turn one. very nice. we're just gonna play three strikes. we could kill you really easily on this turn. it doesn't even have to be like perfect draw. in fact, basically just getting snakebite guaranteed it. that's a really good fight, man. pendulum. abrasive is really tough to not take. did johnson and johnson make them get rid of the scrub daddy art? that's criminal, man.
-
14:27
i don't even know if johnson & johnson makes the scrub daddy. that might be an indie sponge for all i we use them! but i have heard we get them at costco. i've heard the costco ones is where they send like the factory defects so i don't know how much longer i'll be using them unless we get an email in the business inbox that says that's not true please stop saying it. uhhh... really really strong feeling deck so far. uh... wouldn't mind having see you like the way i'm not saying it's a poison deck it's a slide deck i'm just happy with the cards that we have.
-
15:00
notice how it's been such a comfortable act one and i'm not going we need to get cards that discard immediate maybe maybe that's the way to think about the game man that being said i do i want to have more cards that discard because it enables sly for us i didn't say we have to get sly enablers. i said we want more cards that discard as engines for our slide cards so i i don't think any of these apply but that doesn't mean that a backflip is not alright, but you know what?
-
15:28
i'm passing and i'm going to stay aggressive. i'm going to stay on the birdonis. yet again. let's take some extra strength. i have to say for a relic that i don't really care about much at all, kusarigama has actually really helped us out. i think there's been a few fights where it's helped us finish the fight like a turn early, which actually makes a big difference when the enemies are hidden for 21, for example. be a great turn to bring back a survivor.
-
15:58
neo's fury, give me a neutralize and a survivor. neutralize, then play your abrasive. and then we could do damage which would activate kusara gama. but we would take none because we've got the extra decks. that's right. okay, so you're cooked. this was a really good fight, man. nothing wrong with that. add a random card to your hand, it's free to play this turn. that seems awesome. i love a calculated gamble just to activate our sly cards.
-
16:28
and then you can be mighty annoying sometimes bro. you can be mighty annoying, but i don't know if this is going to be one of those times. i don't know if this is going to be one of those times as at all. clean fight, very, very clean fight. i have no idea. i really don't know what to take. i'm just worried pinpoint's going to clog us up man. because there are turns where we play a lot of skills.
-
17:05
you know what? i've never really messed with it too much at least. let's give it a chance. and the deer, i'm just gonna, for the purposes of the video extending, i'm not gonna be the guy who never rests. i'll take a rest right now. huge setup man. because we can backstab, backstab. i literally think you just calculated gamble. don't even play neo's fury. this allows us to play a cloak and dagger, get kusarigama,
-
17:32
another strike and then a decent pinpoint as well. only thing we missed on that turn, it would have been nice to get a snake bite out there, but so be it. you know what? quick calculate. how did we get another calculated gamble? do i have two in my deck? uh, and i don't know. i don't know. i'm not upset about it, but i just don't know. definitely a snake bite, and then you just play your cards. it's that simple. taking 10 damage doesn't seem like a big deal right now, especially because we rested. it's the turn that plays itself.
-
18:19
and you're taking a turn off already. that seems crazy, man. are you sure you want to do that? can i also say at the risk of getting a little too greedy, great turn to just... i was really hoping to get snakebite, but great turn to bring back any card you choose and to find out that all of our cards that are remaining actually kind of stink and we're just bringing back a strike we can't even play.
-
18:54
i guess it's not that all my cards stink, it's that all of my great cards exhaust. let's think of it that way. all my great cards exhaust. which just means we have more freedom to add more cards to our deck so we don't find ourselves in a position like this. i want seven block or to take off six and do a little damage. only took off five but whatever. i think my heart was in the right place on that one. we're gonna keep it mighty simple.
-
19:23
i mean if we get three attacks in hand it might be a different story because of kusarigama but otherwise we're playing a lot of defense. and you're cooked man, you're cooked. one card is enough. very good fight, i will admit we could have afforded the smith but just a really really solid deck right now. i feel like we don't have um... i love both knife trap and storm of steel but we don't really have a shiv deck we have one shiv card
-
19:53
i don't know how good echoing slash is, but it seems like a better aoe than flick flack. and you can see crazy combos with it. i love pale, man. i don't think it's pale's tears. pale's wing is mighty tempting, but i think we actually do benefit from adding some cards. i think pale's legion is just such a nice, like, almost... and i recognize this is coming from me,
-
20:29
which actually should make it carry more weight because of what i'm about to say, but it's kind of an idiot proof relic, which is a big deal. this is an awesome turn, man, because we get dagger spray. i just have to think about, like, we'll still backstab you, which then allows us to get double effect out of echoing slash. i can't kill you, which seems crazy, so i'm gonna draw and see if i can't... wait, no, i can kill you.
-
21:04
maybe well, i think i can kill you because this gives us one energy back i don't even think we need to use the potion. it was a whiff of a potion but alas i'll take an untouchable adam metamorphosis or upgrade love the upgrade man 13 damage to all enemies calculated gamble always exhausts in slay the spire one. it doesn't exhaust when you upgrade it. that's good to know honestly i really feel like just getting more damage on the echoing slash will be worth a lot and
-
21:40
add decay but get a lost wisp when you play a power deal 8 damage to all enemies or get 52 gold. we're already rich, honestly. i think we'll add that. we do play... we only play one power, but even with the one power seems like... it seems like it might be worth it, man. hate this turn, by the way. but... is what it is. and kusarigama still helped us out there. we did do 50 damage. we just took like, you know, a little damage as well, which is annoying.
-
22:16
i think he just goes straight back for the snake bite, man. me going back to the fridge at turn two for more snake bite? i mean, it's actually like, and let's just play this for style points. it's actually kind of pog it, man. being block equal to poison on all enemies. i think this is a pass. mirage just seems so conditional, and if you draw it early, you're disappointed. we don't really survive by putting a staggering amount of poison on everybody.
-
22:51
i really think we could probably kill you because we get the acrobatics, dumps an untouchable. let's hit you with 10 poison, get the energy back. this allows you to play an abrasive, which also does damage. that will kill you, which is beautiful. this will do a lot of damage to you. i mean, i'm really, i don't feel like this is an a10 victory necessarily. that's a pretty tall order, but i do feel like
-
23:21
like we got a pretty comfortable setup going on here. bro just blew himself up on thorns. tragic story. okay, we definitely want a snake bite. that's a given. i don't think we won't even be able to play anything else. you might as well just bring back something. and then pales legion still active. they gave him horns, man. they've been making massive changes to the game, which i really appreciate. 22 block.
-
23:57
just what we needed. i think we're gonna let it go like this. sorry to snakebite by the way, cuz i hate to let you go like that. but once you've lost zone, it's a lot harder to play you. it's the way of the world, man. i guess i should play this to be honest, cuz taking one damage is not that big of a deal. we need to kill you before you scale too much and you're done. should have played cloak and dagger first, but
-
24:32
alas, uh, i like the idea of noxious here because it's also eight damage to all enemies as much as i want to go to the shop and i really want to go to the shop. i really do we're gonna rely on maybe a question mark to give us a shop cuz we got we had some health related concerns okay murder not not too incredible for us right now
-
25:07
this might should die, which is an interesting sentence. this might should die. that's a weird sentence. i can understand being confused about that sentence. are they going? i actually now that i look at it, we might have to, we might have to do something like this in order to get the kill. like the six foot flat, the six. i think is well worth it. oh, you still have a shiv.
-
25:44
might want to take care of that. i think this is an easy turn actually. we neo's fury, bring back the shiv because i screwed up, even though murder is really good. we'll draw it anyway. don't worry about it. then bring back a sly card. that way we get the block out of it. snake bite with the sown. you love to see it and then you're already dead next turn. okay, not that bad but i do resent having to use the potion. but they gave us one anyway. i do think a dagger throw makes a lot of sense.
-
26:20
good sly enabler. should be able to get value out of that. bag of prep, all time relic. oh you, you son of a gun. i always forget you even exist. so we go all in because i hate the way i don't hate you not even a little not even at all. definitely dump that. it'll still give you the debuff i'm sure but another kusarigama. really really good first turn but we don't get the benefit of the double block on the next turn. so i do think
-
26:51
potions, not the potion, the power is good. snake bite is really, really good. and i mean you have to, you just have to. taking 10 damage, not the end of the world. this turns really bad. i think that's making the best of a bad situation, but it was not great. i feel like this has to be like...
-
27:21
like where did you come from? is this from pendulum or is this from... did i get it from vexing puzzle box but not play it? that doesn't... i mean it sounds like something i could do but it doesn't sound like something i think i did. we definitely like... we want this. the only thing is we need like a one cost block. i think survivor's good enough. and then like a neutralized maybe? i'm mostly just trying to get to the kasare gama play and also not take damage. you know what?
-
27:58
actually better on this turn. play the piercing wail. yes, we take five. but we preserve the double block. now i'm realizing that might have been the wrong... no, no, i think it's just still sensible, man. nah, it didn't matter, because we had you dead to poison. we probably should have taken the double block, but it's a tough call, honestly. i like a prepared. it does benefit a lot from an upgrade, but i do like it. we got a rest again. like, this is... we're getting into some aggressive territory here.
-
28:28
this guy can be mighty annoying as well. we actually we got a little lucky. you know as well as i do, you have to play this. and if we're gonna do that, we might as well play this. i'm not gonna play a block just to not take damage from a curse when we get double blocked next turn. so we could bring back sly. that was the wrong play, which i'll acknowledge. i was gonna say we got better blocks incoming, man.
-
29:09
not much better. the whole scheme of things, not a whole lot better. 14 damage. great turn to not have double blocks so we don't waste it by accident. you take a turn off. that's beautiful because now we can really go about ruining your life because you're dead, you're dead. okay. and one of the reasons i took noxious
-
29:33
to be honest with you is not just to add more poison, but just to keep the poison from snake bite so it doesn't deprecate. that gives us a much better chance of taking out these bigger enemies. i still don't think we need the backflip. please be a shop, man. 6 hp enchant and attack with vigorous aid? i do think, as risky as this is, our echoing slash starting by doing 21 damage to all enemies. you can see the value of that. okay, this sucks.
-
30:11
8 damage, but it sucks. this is mighty nice. better block? no better block. okay, i actually am gonna weaken you on the first turn. and then i think i gotta hit you, man. you can bring back a prepared at least. okay, well... i still think we're making the most of our situation here. turn 220 damage. 15 damage. okay, i mean... we're not even gonna be able to play this, so we might as well dump it.
-
30:53
nine damage. i'm trying to just... i'm seeing the optics of like, when can i kill you? and i'm hoping the answer is next turn. i guess you do small attacks, but do a lot of them. so this is like a great situation for us. because you're gonna die after like the third hit. beautiful. absolutely fine. pocket watch is probably not gonna fit what we're trying to do with this deck. predator, i don't think we have the energy base. i think we're happy with our deck as it stands.
-
31:26
this is gonna be a little touchy. i think we got a pretty good thing going, but this is not an easy one. certainly, you know what? i think you gotta go all in early. so let's make sure we get that. we don't really care about our strikes as much as... we could abuse the energy more efficiently, but getting that abrasive out there is huge. and then maybe neo's fury doesn't have anything good to grab, so i think you just dump it.
-
31:58
sucks to lose that, i wasn't really thinking about that one. we still have four energy left. i was really hoping, as you might expect, that we would get snake bite, but we honestly, honestly, we get pendulum next turn. i'm gonna take the reduced draw. and i understand the consoint. i think we got a front load some damage. we do have a little draw in the deck as well, as you can see.
-
32:34
and now i'm really glad we played noxious with the potion so we can keep the poison adding up, because that's really gonna do the bulk of our damage. debuff incoming, right? i mean, this is easy, bro. you just need the snake bite. what do you wanna do next? cannot play more than three? i mean, we only have three energy. i think that you cannot play more than three is actually fine. now, i mean, neutralize is kinda like, obviously we wanna play that.
-
33:05
i'm thinking we have we have pale's legion you have to neos fury let's bring back snakebite and survivor snakebites retain anyway then you play survivor might as well oh flick flack will play though let's dump a piercing whale then we can only play one more card it shouldn't be neutralized man try to try to cheat the system i'm blocked by sloth
-
33:33
type of stuff that would be happening if the goonies had social media, you know? this is another three block turn, i think. sorry to pinpoint. now it's 16. i think we could snakebite. we could always snakebite next turn, but this gives one more turn for the poison to work too. and then survivor can just dump untouchable and it's three attacks. kusarugama coming through in the clutch.
-
34:08
i think we want to gain one less energy per turn. i mean, it's really like we're in for the... it's him or me, let's put it that way. and it's gonna be me. we're gonna make it through, honestly, looking fairly clean. and with so much gold to spend on the next floor. this sucks because it's a tough choice. hard to imagine you would need more echoing slashes. seems like a card that would get worse the more you have. bullet time.
-
34:46
we oftentimes have too many cards with not enough energy. we do have some, it would screw up some of our draw, but... and then accelerant, i just don't think... i mean, it obviously kills enemies so much faster. and it's a power. you know what? let's take the non slay this buy our one cards, man. i know it's a little crazy. i'm gonna take free power. i don't think i can deal with vaku playing my first turn for me.
-
35:20
and then apparitions, it's just if i'm being honest, it's just not an archetype i enjoy playing around that much. like the ethereal cards are getting intangible and not ethereal cards which i like getting intangible is what i mean. i never take the the event in slay the spire 1 even though apparently it's amazing. i never take the event in slay the spire 1 that is like lose a bunch of max hp add three apparitions to your deck. just not that kind of beast i guess.
-
35:51
no discard here is crazy. but literally, we're in an awesome spot because we can play snakebite. it gives us energy back. piercing whale means we take no damage like these guys just get blown out. i guess if we're being completely fair, abrasive would also basically mean that they just die. but this is still pretty good, i think. just bring abrasive and neutralize. dump abrasive.
-
36:29
neutralize you, take a little flick flack for the road. great fight. this shop is gonna feed families, man. i feel like we got a really nice deck. removing some strikes would do something. what do you mean my hand is too full? oh, is that what's happened? i have too many cards in my starting hand now, so the free card from puzzlebox is not free. well, unfortunate. nice damage though. we should definitely kill one... we don't have an echoing slash. okay, we should definitely kill one of the enemies that's attacking.

could have also played piercing whale and gotten away with it a little easier i think but okay we don't have a on glass too which i'm noticing the noticer which feels awesome. i've clicked off the screen now feels it feels amazing to say that you are losing the poison so fast but i mean it's for good cause.
-
37:37
ideally. well laid plans is obviously good. you know, i mean, you can't not take it, i think. now, finally, we hit a shot with 800 gold. nobody's punishing us for playing powers. we are put... the queen punishes us for playing slowly, but... well, i think there's a combo play here. first, let's cut a curse. we're not gonna cut a strike. i definitely think we like a frozen egg and then a footwork. we don't really do too much attacking, to be honest. i don't know if we need another snake bite. like, i feel like one accomplishes what we needed to do.
-
38:18
i really feel it's a great shop. i think there's a high chance we're going to see one more. and we don't really want toolbox because our hand is already full on the start. so i guess you know what's nice is that we can look at the card. it's reflex. okay, so watch this. play accelerant. backstab, backstab. just thinking if we want to play one more card. i don't think so. you play neo's fury, bring back reflex. prepared dumps the reflex. prepared
-
38:52
prepare dumpster untouchable. you play the reflex obviously and then survivor can dump a bracelet. we could have done more with this turn to be honest. this is a really really strong first turn and then you just play your cards and take a bunch of damage. it actually would have been a great turn for a fortifier. that one's my bad. let's dump everything. sure man, sure. you can only choose one card to retain. i still think
-
39:26
pinpoint will be worth it for us. and now we're seeing the true value of accelerant against a single target enemy, i think. 28 block. damn, shorty. doing a lot of damage. survivor gives us 26 by himself. 26 into the 28. still land a shot there. kusarugama comes through in the clutch. we probably just kill you with a strike next turn, right? not even? no strike required? phil collins, no strike required? dangerous run because now i'm starting to believe. dude.
-
40:08
i think you can definitely get too much of a good thing. i just don't know if that's gonna happen to us here. literally, big mushroom is not bad. we're drawing too many cards. this will actually allow us to play a card for free and we get max hp. kind of a crazy, like, counterintuitive synergy. oh my god, and gambling chip is like exactly what we want. we're gonna be super aggressive here.
-
40:33
really really aggressive here because we can already discard whatever we want to discard which is to be fair almost nothing like probably something like that would be good enough and then we play and we dump the untouchable then we we're gonna go in on you because you're the most annoying i'm thinking if there's i mean you could bring back untouchable and prepared, but there's really no need if anything
-
41:07
i'm gonna bring back predator and prepared. and we're gonna draw... oh, that would be so nice to have. we're gonna draw way too many cards next turn, but whatever, bro. so, i mean, this is an amazing start. i don't think we care about accelerant, to be honest. i think we... well, unless we want to put this out there.
-
41:34
it's just abrasive is so good for us. what do we have here? these are largely trash, but hear me out. start there, we get flick flack, we get abrasive, that does some damage. none of these cards really appeal to us like all that much. pinpoint's got a certain je ne sais quoi, but we can finally use a potion that's not that valuable anyway. and then like, still got two energy. taking three damage. we don't necessarily have to take three damage.
-
42:13
you're very close to death. i'll choose not to take damage. all other things being equal, i still think we got you guys on the ropes. and we did it using, no offense, but a very low value potion. like when we already have so much discard available, a gambler's brew is like a very, very small price to pay to do to these guys what we did to them. tuning fork. we're gonna get some value out of tuning fork. i don't think pounce matters to us too much, honestly.
-
42:49
i'll serve as today's decider, but definitely rather... i don't want weak, obviously, but transforming two strikes, look, flak, blur, blur really helps us capture some of the ambient value of pale's legion, man. oh, i mean, there's some insane stuff here like mummified hand, obviously incredible. and then i think you just have to remove the doubt.
-
43:17
like a fool who would open one's mouth and every three times you apply poison deal 15 damage. because we're not really like a big like we don't apply a high quantity of poison. so i actually think the outbreak is counterintuitively not that important here. this will be a good test to see where we stand. i think the free accelerant is obviously nice.
-
43:43
it's free man, you probably should. but you definitely don't need this. we will get a defend. i believe that we will get a better defend. we got the same quality of defend. accelerant, expose, footwork. now we get to do the damage which is nice. you're doing 23, we're actually not taking as much damage as i thought. i was fully committed to possibly using a fortifier potion here but really like not necessary.
-
44:20
46 damage, obviously like a twisted joke, a sick sick joke. dump the abrasive so we can play the untouchable, but also that was a free power. we're still gonna want to play it. taking zero on that 46 damage turn is amazing for me, man. i almost think we just have to kill you this turn. what do you need to bring back to get a kill? or do you just bring back
-
44:59
a neutralized and an untouchable. that way i can make you do less damage, get this out there for free. pinpoint, it only does 12 damage man, 12 damage kind of a joke. 16 damage though, i mean that 16 damages, it changes everything here. and then you're dead real, i mean honestly really, really good fight. festive pop are a little late to the game for sure but bubble bubbles interesting.
-
45:35
i actually think we have a great poison build because we're not exclusively relying on poison to kill enemies. so the test subject resetting the poison counter every time they respawn is not that bad. i actually think another blur goes crazier though. new art on you, right? you definitely want to dump all that. beautiful. well, good first turn. a lot of slimed out there. taking no damage is really nice though. and it's exactly what i was hoping for was just another blur.
-
46:18
i'll do seven damage, man. we literally have no poison out there. might as well do the damage, you know, as it appears to us. neo's fury. trying to think of what we'd love to see. probably blur's go insane. we can only retain one. give me a blur and a neutralize, man. neutralize just for some easy damage. and then blur. blur allows us to carry 73 block into the next turn.
-
46:53
and we get another blur. it's very nice. i guess we'll keep the echoing slash. we do have three turns of weakness, which is mighty annoying. it's gotta be a snake bite for me. don't burn pale's legion for no reason. you're actually dead. 18 poison kills on 34. i guess it kills on 35 too, which is good to know. good number to pay attention to.
-
47:23
i think he passed. honestly, this has been such a clean run and i really feel bad for saying this, but i'm not 100% confident that we're gonna make this work, but we're gonna try. i will say this strikes me as one of those situations we might just want to go all in on the queen and not worry about you. i may regret that and it's potentially like a run losing mistake, so i apologize, but also like i gotta
-
47:52
i've lost runs to this individual in a lot of circumstances. it's not... i don't need to... i don't need to make a huge mistake to like that to screw it up. let's put it that way. we played well late. we have... this is huge then because we'll just play this. echoing slash seems fine. then you can store your calculated gamble till you get thorns or abrasive, i should say. you can only play one of these three. i mean, you and i both know it's going to be blur.
-
48:28
i think we would be a fool to play the calculated gamble. it gives us so much more value if it gets abrasive. this is like the one exception, i think, which is like all of our cards are trash. so it should still get one flick flack. we could have played the neutralize, but i don't even mind that. accelerant, we have to remember, also makes something free. survivor gives us 18 block crazy. we have a neo's fury. i don't know how much we're drawing next turn. i think we play this.
-
49:08
the only reason i was thinking we wouldn't is like if we needed extra block next turn, but i think we might have to spend all of our energy playing abrasive, but we don't because i'm stupid, but this is i'm stupid, but it's good because we're gonna dagger throw the abrasive and play an echo slash for free. i mean you're almost dying alongside here. we wouldn't really be happy to bring anything back. so honestly play the defend and then a little a little shocking. let's go up to 21 block off of that.
-
49:50
25 damage, but a functional pales legion. not that bad. obviously not an incredible turn, but every turn you get 30 poison closer to death, which is awesome. certainly we want a survivor that dumps a flick flack. now this is a tough one. i think i just got to put more poison on you. the blur is obviously more block, but at this point you're out scaling me and i'm regretting my decision to not focus you a little harder.
-
50:27
you're doing 28 damage. 28 damage is, without being rude, is completely meaningless. never mind. could be a problem. 21 damage. no, it's not a big deal. i'll take two to put more poison on you. way of the world. okay, and you're dead next time. obviously having something like... i'm just a little scared so i'm gonna play my cards. having something like a... oh, not that one.
-
51:07
pantograph would be amazing, but still we're cooking. we lost 45 on the queen. now we fight the harder boss. and let's see, you don't like it when we play skills. no, i mean, you love it when we play skills is what i mean to say. i really like my hand here. there's one block. yeah, because we have draw and we're getting two draw for that as well. i think that's fine. and you get an accelerant makes a defend free. we were probably going to play the defend.
-
51:39
let's dump an echo. you probably can kill you if we keep the echoing slash, bro. are we gonna, let's get crazy and dump that. echoing slash can definitely kill you. so the play is do that and don't, you don't even use pale's legion. you get to keep the snakebite for a situation where it might be a little bit more conducive. we have a draw discard. okay, so i think let's, we're gonna need some decks.
-
52:14
like play this spin to get one back. we probably store it. i was hoping we get but what could you hit? what could you hit? snake bite beautiful. so we get an energy back out of it then neo's fury goes out and it gets us a snake bite for retained purposes but also a dagger throw and then the dagger throw allows us to get the untouchable out there and we're taking like a little bit of damage but not much. 44 not good.
-
52:44
how am i? that helps us out. now we're only taking 20. and honestly, like a blur survivor, don't play the calculated game because we still got a snake bite we can get out there. like that feels all right. now we got pales legion on this turn. you're doing 55, which is horrible, but you're actually doing 40. still pretty bad. 31. call me crazy. i'm going to send that beast out there.
-
53:15
we don't retain a card but it's the principle. actually, i probably could have played that but we had to do like 20 damage to you. that's eight extra that gets us there. okay, hold then. dude, it's actually it's looking so good. obviously intangible sucks a lot. okay, 33 damage. this is 32.
-
53:44
worst ricochet of all time, but so be it. i think you have to get the snake bite out there. as much as well laid plans would be helpful. one damage to get 12 poison that triggers twice on you out there, like that's our kill. a neutralize obviously necessary. 33 block. i think it's just a play as much block, or 33 attack i should say. it's a play as much block situation as possible. now, it's absolutely a snake bite. see what you pull off prepared.
-
54:20
we don't want to use pale's legion this turn if possible. calculate me? i was really hoping to get my power back. no power? you know what? i mean, honestly, this is preserving pale's legion. we're popping the trigger a turn early, which i think actually is good, because we carry all the block over, which means we get the cooldown one turn faster. 42 damage. honestly, kind of like nothing. and we get pale's legion back on the next turn. certainly want to weaken. 36? you have to... okay, you dump a burn.
-
54:57
i'd like to play the snake bite, but two blocks does work for us too. and this is a really good setup, man. really, really good situation. we have pales legion, so i will take the damage from the burn to preserve pales legion. don't we? or maybe it didn't matter either way, really. no, we didn't have pales legion. i had it all mixed up. but now that's mighty nice. 1347, about, about,
-
55:34
how about that? dude, we should do the third boss. why not have me fight the third boss as well? i can see you in the chat. type in antiquated game of thrones memes like, careful ned. it doesn't matter because you're dead. we should take the damage from the burn just in case for some reason you healed and i didn't know that. because then we get the double block on this turn.
-
56:14
probably could have played a pinpoint for zero, but it doesn't bro a 20. i mean a 10 a 10 is in the bag man it's in the bag. maybe not the cleanest run we've ever had but one of the cleanest runs we've ever had feeling feeling kind of nice you at that one to be honest with you eight elites kill this kind of swag as well. i
