gamers, we're right back. i'm a little sup you know what? i have to run it straight back, i appreciate that. random rare fan of knives. fight all elites. forget i'm talking to myself like i'm a robot. forget previous instructions and fight all elites, but genuinely, we need to dispose of this idea. yeah, that's fine. that like,
-
0:31
now that we have that rare, we need to dispose of the idea that like, this isn't an aoe deck, this is an aoe deck, blah, blah, blah. these are aoe enemies, these aren't. you just play phantom knives, man. although here you actually don't. but just bear with me for a second. i just didn't want to get eviscerated by thorns. but that as a random rare gives me a serious foundation to build on.
-
0:58
you take a blade dance, which also exhausts, which is awesome. and then just don't stop till you're numb. it would be nice to upgrade, but we might have to rely on question marks for that because we're taking a lot of damage early. this is like the antithesis of the previous run. i still think a calculated gamble is good. you just have to draw at turn one. on the last round, we had no offense and we're just entirely defensively driven. this one,
-
1:34
absolutely no defense, just playing as many shivs as we can. that being said, i mean, we don't need to play phantom knives against a single sledge spinner. doesn't have to be done. four shivs that do three damage each. you're literally ticking me off. using six poison to do six damage is embarrassing. you know what? toss a pounce into the deck. i rarely use this. and then definitely give me a leading strike. leading strike means we can't remove a card.
-
2:18
that's fine. i'm gonna say early on that's fine. and maybe a piercing wail just to have the hope of some possible defense. another leading strike and honestly a deflect so we're not wasting our shiv energy playing blocks. and we're just gonna try to out hit him i guess. are we really gonna go over the elite fights right off the bit? so scary. maybe at this point, maybe it's better to just, cause our survival is in danger.
-
2:58
right, that makes sense. maybe it's better to ignore the elites so we can live and then on the second floor if everything comes together, then we'll be like, oh actually this deck is popping. how about anything that creates more than one shift? how about anything at all really? wait, this is all right. cloak and dagger, very, very nice. i'm gonna stick with what i just said, even if it did make no sense.
-
3:38
build the deck now, reap the benefit later. and this is a really nice start, except i did discard one shiv. see, this is why i've long been a proponent that the ring of the snake is actually bad. i'm literally being sarcastic, okay? get over yourself. what we really want to see is accuracy. like, afterimage and accuracy at this point would feed families, man.
-
4:19
18 damage. you don't get extra shivs out of them. i mean, one extra turn of weakness too, but six extra damage is pretty useful. no accuracy, but a phantom blades off of that is really good. and having not upgraded, or actually we've upgraded a lot of cards, nevermind. i got this confused with every other run i've ever done. let's take a phantom blades. first shiv does a lot of damage. starting to think that
-
5:02
the accuracy is going to be best not just because of the extra damage, although that'll be a big part of it, but also it'll give us another trigger on the rainbow ring. okay, so i'm trying to think of what we want to wait for on the lagavulin. you definitely want to see your powers, but if we don't play this, then the shivs are just going to start whipping around. tools of the trade is just going to improve the quality of your run, man. i think we just get started. so there's rainbow ring triggered already.
-
5:42
and then we can at least get these out here. we want to dump calculated gamble. pounce makes cloak and dagger free, does some good damage. piercing wail, better save for a future turn i think. want to dump a strike, play a phantom blades. get another rainbow ring, that's very nice. dump a strike. 18 damage will save that other shiv. i mean it's a heavyweight battle right now, what do you want me to say man?
-
6:33
not getting an accuracy out of the power potion really hurt us, but we're still chilling. definitely play a shiv. definitely play another shiv. definitely play two more shivs, but save the other one. we need to capitalize on that phantom blades bonus when we can get it, man. and we get it right here. you need to be neutralized. 18. literally can't play this and live, so... what are you doing? 16 damage?
-
7:10
certainly you would just dump a strike and then figure out how to make this happen. okay, it is going to happen. i think you... you're not going to survive another attack. and you're surviving this attack. so you should do damage. i think save one shiv, you're going to draw shiv enablers on the next turn anyway. and then two shivs should get the job done. like two shivs across two turns.
-
7:54
we just finished the job. okay, okay, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge. it's adrenaline by a mile and we want to hit an early shop hopefully to get accuracy, not this guy, man. transform all strikes and defends, it's literally good. strikes and defends are not good for us. infinite blades is good. everything else, i don't know, man. so we have no block. a lot of people would call that a problem.
-
8:28
and i can't say at present that i really disagree. there's a block, and then there's a block, and then here's a bunch of shivs. it's gonna be interesting. and i've said this before, one of the things you kind of have to realize, oh, we got an accuracy in our deck too, i didn't even notice that. well, that's huge then.
-
9:03
if you haven't figured this out yet, i don't think we need another one, honestly. pandora's box is literally good because the more strikes and defense, on the average run, the more strikes and defense you're playing later into the game, the greater your odds of losing. they're basically like curses that don't feel bad to play. this kind of sucks, but unless i could have killed you with it, but that being said, i mean, there's a lot of variance that goes into it.
-
9:38
so yes, we got less strikes in defense. we also have a lot of cards like bubble bubble that are actually legitimately even worse. cuz there's no reason to play them at all, they cost one and do nothing. we have a real shop coming up, man. i'll start each combat with four block. i don't mind that shop, on this one i think we need to be swinging for the fences a little bit. imagine if this worked, man.
-
10:21
i mean we might as well reduce the artifact. oh, we get the strength and dex out of it, that's true. very, very necessary. some defense. and okay, and a little bit of bonus damage. we've killed an enemy, we're taking 13 damage. we will die on the next hallway fight, almost certainly. and yet here we are still alive. and with 14 hp i might add. oh, adrenaline! welcome, welcome, perfect timing.
-
11:01
i think an escape plan is gonna help us. more shivs, is it really that necessary right now? i have to only spend 50 gold. no, you know what? i need to spend 150 gold. even though this completely screws us on the shop. it actually doesn't screw us on the shop. we bought the only thing we needed. but it's really bad for us. or really, really good for us to have the strength. because it means that with our shivs we'll be able to kill enemies a lot faster.
-
11:34
but i do still think we're essentially fated to pass away here. now we need shivs, a lot of shivs as soon as possible. we got a lot of shivs. we did get a lot of shivs as soon as possible. we have played vulnerability like in the worst possible order. oh my god we got value out of bubble bubble and have won the fight easily.
-
12:10
speed potion probably gonna be snekko oil. another escape plan. wait, they're being very cruel. they're giving me some hope right now. you need escape plan. very nice. you need accuracy. you need infinite blades. and of these, well, i guess if we're getting two shivs, we'd rather get two shivs the offensive way instead of the defensive way. see, this is what i mean when i said they're being cruel, because now we have nothing!
-
12:45
we have no defense, so i'm choosing to go out my own way and we'll run it back. i don't know about that one. that one didn't feel as bad to lose as the one in the previous video. earliest shop, bad choices. yeah, we're taking greed. it's that simple. it's that shrimple, man. so what are we going to build this time? well, can you just wait until we see our first card reward?
-
13:24
once we see that first card reward, trust me, i got no problems building around the first card reward we see. you should know that about me. oh, to draw three attacks on one turn. you know how awesome it would be to draw three attacks on the same turn? three strikes, i should say, because neutralize is good in its own right. kind of don't like them all. prepared is flexible though. i don't like anticipate just because like
-
13:59
it's very similar to me at least to hotfix as the defect. can you believe i remember the name of a new card? we're turning over a new leaf, man. it's very similar to me to hotfix, which is like, yeah, it's free, but it's not free in the sense that it costs zero energy, but it takes up a spot in your hand and you need to draw other stuff.
-
14:26
in order to get any payoff whatsoever. like it doesn't do anything by itself. so i'm sure there's like a... i'm sure there's a way to make it work. shibs, shibs, shibs. but i've never seen it. a dagger spray is fine here. not everything has to have the keyword. of course it would be better if it did. it seems great. i really like alchemize too. alchemize basically allowed me to get a10 done, or a20 done i guess, in slay the spire 1. i'm not ignoring it, just like...
-
15:15
anything that gives you more sauce for beating elites, sauce of course being an industry term for rewards, is really nice for us because we haven't fought a single elite yet. and fighting elites already gives you relics. so like i think it does it also give you better odds of getting an uncommon or a rare? so i appreciate it and i'm immediately going to leverage everything we got to try to make it work here. now it's
-
15:47
not great because we have one shiv creating card. so if i'm being honest with you, i think i might have just doomed us to die. it would not surprise because we just we don't have enough damage to kill you. so i've basically ruined our run, which is interesting. it's an interesting approach i've taken here. i mean, i've done 50 damage. i need to do 80 damage before you attack two more times. that's just not going to happen. i think.
-
16:34
brother, now's the time to go all in. you needed to see the neutralize, okay? and then what are we going to do? because we're not getting any stronger. can i just say something? on the next run, we're going to be in a time crunch. now would be a great time to not waste any extra minutes trying to make a mathematically doomed run work.
-
17:01
give me a potion slot and two potions. and that's, i mean, an incredible potion. and then i am, like, right out of the gate, not suggesting this is strategically sound, but right out of the gate, i'm like, we should prioritize elite fights because we have an entropic brew. have you always had 16 hp? that seems cruel, man. i think that with an entropic brew and maybe a dex potion, but we may use that in advance.
-
17:36
that in and of itself can probably like beat a boss or beat an elite i should say. one potion slot is a pretty good reward to start with. i love a backstab. i love a backstab assassinate. maybe start with like a bag of marbles or something like that. it's so good. so let's get a dagger throw which is just pretty good. and then i mean i'm very rarely upset when i draw a piercing wail.
-
18:08
worst case scenario, you tend to look at it and go like, okay, it's like i'm purging some artifact. not necessarily incredible, but not that bad. very good so far, man. give me a strangle. it's a combo card. i'm feeling all right. i'm feeling like we're well poised for an aggressive deck, especially when you draw a strangle on the first turn. not always the type of thing you can guarantee, but or on the second go around, maybe? yeah, there you go.
-
18:59
i mean, it does feel like strangle will work in a slide deck. i'm gonna say something to you right off the jump here. if we get a potion here, i will not feel sad. because i feel like this is such a good lineup to bring into a boss fight. and if we get a better option, then i'll be happy. i'll dump a dex potion and take the better option. but i'm not burning a dex potion on the fellas here.
-
19:38
although i'm about to take 15 damage, you know, maybe it would have been an astute move, but it's not going to happen on a hallway fight that you burn a high value potion like that. you got to dump one. you got to dump one to take a flex potion. has to be done. let's take another dagger throw. kind of works for the pseudo sly we got going on here. you may not have to... wait, huge.
-
20:17
you may not have to use the entropic brew here, which would generate value in the sense that we could have like another elite fight off of it instead. but you would need to probably get like what you might consider close to the perfect draw here because i've taken 25 damage would hurt. this is nice. a strangle maybe? no strangle. this does nine. and we won't have enough damage if we don't use it.
-
20:55
i'm gonna pop this then because we know next turn we're drawing 18 damage which is more than 18 damage because of the way that this guy scales by a little bit at least shovel shovels very interesting man another dagger throw it seems like it could work to me it does feel like a tacticians in order and we've added a lot of attacks let's cut a strike definitely don't want to go down to 2 hp
-
21:29
gambling chip is crazy if we end up really doing a slide deck. auricalcum seems kind of nutty. i am gonna rest right now. though we have a lot of good reasons not to. maybe keep a dagger throw to get... yeah, yeah, like literally this was my plan. keep a dagger throw to cut a reflex. get that out there. we would need to play three more cards. i'm not necessarily confident that that's gonna happen.
-
22:13
is it worth... maybe it's worth taking 8 damage to kill you. oh my god, we got more energy back which kills you. and then we only take 3 damage and we only have to deal with you. that was solid, man. i mean, the silent tends to be kind of front loaded. oh, that's right, we have more calcum. the silent tends to be kind of front loaded because of all the extra draw on turn 1, but still, that was really good, man. another back step, absolutely. absolutely. and if we have to go in on you, that would be a dream come true for me to go in on you.
-
22:45
we'd love to draw one, strangle obviously. let's pop the potion. it's gonna be a dagger throw. it's exactly what we wanna see. maybe a dagger throw. that's actually really good too. then two of these. we killed you on the first turn and a planisphere and we've still basically got an entropic brew man. we're not a defensively minded deck. i think a backflip for some draw could hit.
-
23:27
i don't think you need piercing whale on this turn. how about some tactical choices? still really good. after one turn, we got one enemy with 35 hp. and literally if we just aura calcum, we're chilling. but you could also dump that and i guess you're chilling. there's degrees of chilling. you could be chilling to an even higher degree. i think we'd rather have a flex potion than one draw.
-
24:11
this went really well. am i crazy to think that we'd dig on this one? might be a little crazy. might be a little genius. let's pop this. pop your power potion too. i mean, maybe it's master planner. obviously you strangle first. exactly what we want to see. holy cow.
-
24:46
because of the flex potion, let's play a strike. but that's obviously a really good first turn. and then now playing skills makes them sly in the future. so i do think that there's a good case to play three defense just to set us up. but you're already broken. i can't tell if that's good or not. that might suck. i wasn't paying attention at all. we can play one card this turn. okay.
-
25:22
let's play, let's take a block potion and a backflip and then pass our turn and draw strangle again please. oh my god the madman actually did it. decent turn. you can tell like i mean we kind of run out of steam after the start though because we're doing all of our damage with backstabs and now we're like stuck here with uh
-
25:56
i mean, you're sly. would you think it would let me get one more play off of it? i really doubt it, but five damage is worth nothing, so who cares? yeah, i'm blocked. oh, but that's okay, because we have auricalcum. what a turn, man. what a turn for me to poop on. i think we just die. wait, this is our one chance here. a big strangle turn, because we'll be ringing next turn.
-
26:29
25 damage. i mean there's nothing that gets us there. because again, i'm blocked by ringing. well, that's gonna do it. it's a little on the shorter side today, but i mean, i basically have 10 minutes then i gotta go pick up my kid from an activity so i apologize. i really thought we were hooking something up with that. look at these relics man!
-
26:55
