gamers, welcome back. the last one felt really clean. feels weird to be able to random instead of just immediately going back to who we just lost with, but still. hey, the silent. it can be done. we've done it, man. to be honest with you, i really like greed, but shops far enough away.
-
0:23
but i really don't care for the other options if it had i had it gave me pause i should say because the the shop was far enough away that we considered the other options but the only option that i really like for being isolated to elite fights is when you get the one in slay the spire one, that's like a
-
0:51
you start elite fights with two extra strength. that one, i can see the utility of that. not as enamored with drawing two extra cards at the start of combat, like, strikes me as kind of a... i don't want to say a nothing reward, but like not that incredible of a reward. now, to be fair, greed is literally bad until we get to a shop. and then it might be good, but it could be really, really good. i don't know. i don't know.
-
1:27
i honestly, i'm going with this over that. we already got one curse that can't be removed. we're still doing nine. this is why the retain could be huge. if only we had survivor this turn, but it's okay. the extra gold might put us in like two relic territory, man. i don't know. actually, i mean, looking at the amount of money we have, i'm pretty sure it does put us in two relic territory.
-
1:58
and making ourselves stronger is going to be obviously a the point of the game but be very important because it looks like we are going to have to rest. you know what a hand trick making a snake bite sly. so all we need to do is wait for the survivor to be able to discard it and then we get a bunch of block and also seven poison. like now now we got something cooking and we kind of have a little bit. it only works on that turn.
-
2:30
whatever, i'll pay full price for it. well, okay, in that case, hand trick is basically just like a pretty good block for us. i've made that mistake at least five times and i will make it at least hopefully 100 times more over the course of my life. literally never taken it. i'll take a cloak and dagger. just keep myself straddled between a couple of different archetypes. let me think about this.
-
3:10
i mean honestly it's all right, especially early. hate to have not gotten value out of those potions, but it's basically like bad fire potions all the time, but that's okay. and then we kind of, i honestly just buying out the sweet here gives me a lot more damage potential and then cutting strikes and trying to do most of our damage with shivs i think. i didn't even look at the paths there which is not smart. no this is actually good.
-
3:46
you guys take a turn off we add sly to something we'll never do the world flourishes when we add when old men add sly to cards that they will not be around to discard the world is a better place am i right or am i right people i think i'm right poke and dagger huge the next step um with prepared
-
4:11
is to get well laid plans so we can really get the snake bite combo poppin'. i'm telling you, it will work at some point and you will be like, he was a genius to have done this. i regret everything negative i've ever said to him in my entire life. it'll happen. it's pretty much guaranteed. the up my sleeve is more important. honestly, it might sound crazy. i think you dump the strength potion to have a potion shaped rock. and we don't need to use it on this turn.
-
4:48
obviously, but there will come a time when we'll be happy to have it, man. dumb snakebite for now. crazy as it sounds, let's exhaust that ascender's bane. and we're not using it on that turn either. this sucks. but you know what, actually, by having... you're gonna think i've lost my mind. you're gonna think i've lost... no, no, you just play one of these. i was literally gonna use the potion there. but i was like, if we just have three shivs, then we're basically guaranteed to win the fight in the right number of turns.
-
5:38
it's okay because we could just play the shivs and then get shivs on the next turn. oh, now worst case scenario, which is probably just the regular case scenario, we just throw the potion and then it looks good at least. a second of my sleeve seems kind of crazy. let's take a ricochet and then immediately upgrade it of course, which if you're an audio only listener, you probably think just happened. you know, that's for me to know and you to find out.
-
6:09
did wedstone hit two strikes? who's to say? who's to say in this workaday world? i really like the shivs, the shiv sly setup we got. this is interesting, right? finally get the snakebite combo to actually work. we might as well throw a potion or yeah, throw the potion shaped rock on you. i find myself a lot in these situations. we probably need more shivs, man.
-
6:50
i find myself to be in these situations a lot, right? where a potion is not efficient to use so i don't use it and then i end up just throwing it out later. which controversially i'm gonna say is probably bad. i'm gonna say that that's probably not an efficient way to play slay the spire 2. wait, wait, this is very interesting.
-
7:29
this is, it's very unfortunate as well. because now that i think about it, doing three damage to a bunch of enemies isn't really that good when they immediately put up a bunch of block after but, um, sorry, our shivs will do a lot of work for us here. one shiv per turn is close to a kill. depends how much they got left. honestly, just do it like this and then, um,
-
8:01
i would still hit you guys with the ships just to get a little bit of damage done, proc that shield and then be ready to go on the next turn. i mean, i don't think anybody's going down in an earlier round here, but let me take a look. so i could snakebite. i also feel like i can just as easily play three defense, take no damage and then kill one next turn and just kind of keep it rolling. the catch is we are taking one damage, but i think one damage is pretty
-
8:37
understandable given the circumstances and then you're dead. this is the deck is sort of fire. unless i'm completely misjudging how it's going right here. i actually feel like this is going pretty well, man. now that i look at this, we definitely could have gone in on the gremlin merc. so be it though. okay, so you're gonna split. you only have 20 of my gold and you're taking a turn off. this is actually awesome.
-
9:15
basically couldn't have gone better there. i mean, we need acrobatics. we kind of got the sly enablers, which is really nice. we're just a little maybe light on hp to deal with the waterfall giant long term, but phantom blades. let's keep the vulnerability on him. and i feel pretty good about just playing one shiv against you per turn for a while here. how about a prepared? prepared to get a neutralize.
-
9:48
acrobatics got no sly enablers. i'm stunned. i'm flabbergasted. we got energy back. holy cow. we're gonna get more shivs, right? maybe not. we have done a hundred damage to you, which is pretty nice. dagger throw. it sucks because we're probably gonna draw a hand trick. oh, okay. well, never mind. maybe it doesn't suck at all. just take two of those and call me in the morning. goated thing to say when throwing two shivs at someone.
-
10:27
very disappointed to not be able to get the combo off here with hand trick, considering we have so many discarders in our deck. but it's okay, life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone. we're actually dismantling the waterfall giant. it feels pretty good. it'll feel horrible if it falls apart. which is well within the realm of possibility, but hopefully not gonna come to pass.
-
11:02
i swear, did we not have sly enablers? like am i, as the kids say these days, am i off the pen? i don't think i'm off the pen, man. so you're gonna be doing 38 damage. full stop. i need two blocks. i got two blocks. what a dream come true, man. i get to live for the second floor. to the second floor. okay, a cunning potion.
-
11:38
you simply have to take phantom knives. aoe shivs, it solves our aoe problems, especially with phantom blades. enchant the skill with imbued. okay. up my sleeve being imbued is pretty awesome. so is hand trick to be totally copasetic here, to be totally open, but... the only thing i worry about is that with up my sleeve, there's no point in upgrading it, because then we will be drawing too many cards for the first turn.
-
12:15
i say worry. worry is not really the right word. it's just something to be mindful of, i suppose. i really feel like the best chance of an a10 victory is now like, take this path, choose here, and then walk yourself up and fight four elites. if we think our run is good, we should not be a coward right now. now's the wrong time to be a coward. give me a hand trick, cloak and dagger.
-
12:54
and then survivor, i get that they're ricochets here and they're vulnerable, but that is, that's still nice. i'm gonna throw them all because i still have a cunning potion i can use if necessary. i hope i don't need to. four shivs into your hand. so i feel like it would just be this. yeah, that's pretty good. you took hand trick. i can't let you do that. i can't let you get close.
-
13:35
we'd probably rather dump this for the rock. it's three more damage if we don't get our power. and then... what are you, deadly poison? okay, 25 cards. we're feeling all right for sure. i have no idea whose cards we need, man. i just... give me the choice of three defect cards. i'm trying to remember what my deck does. i mean, this is amazing. i feel like bulk up is actually like worth playing. so is scavenge, maybe.
-
14:21
i'm gonna try bulk up at least. it's kind of a strange play, don't get me wrong. 100 gold for a common, 200 gold for a mango, 300 gold for three relics after five combats. we could easily just skip the shop. is it three relics after five combats? one, two, three, four. i'm gonna say...
-
14:51
go ahead and give me the mango. take me to 84 max hp. i'm gonna take the middle risk option on that one. we have, we don't have aoe problems. give me some vulnerability. i wish we didn't have to take it, but legally i'm required to say that every time. okay. throw this at you. take the entropic. throw this at you. definitely feels like, this is for a longer fight. i would be thrilled to use it on a longer fight. for now, i don't think it's necessary.
-
15:26
but you know what? i mean, we may literally be able to kill you if i just do the math, but i'm too lazy for that. let's just play the thing that guarantees that we won't take damage even if we take more turns and then finish it off. heavy price to pay for potions, but we have a surplus of potions right now. don't need any of those. this might be our bulk up situation though. ricochet, you know what? ricochet is actually pretty good here in the discard pile. bulk up, neutralize, you're doing 16.
-
16:05
dump a strike. i mean, i'll hit you with one shiv. i'll say, oh, they don't retain. we should have played them all. now they retain. you know what? blade dance gets us to phantom knives. but we don't, now that i think about it, we don't even want to play phantom knives. i think honestly, we want to get hit in the face and just apply some poison to you so we don't get too many daises in our deck. if that's wrong, don't at me. okay, we're going to get a bunch of daises in our deck on purpose.
-
16:41
32 damage. i'll hit you once to move on with my life. don't kill me. don't kill me. it's a good deck. oh my god, we lived! festive popper i like. invenom is one of those things that's like it's obviously good but we're um we actually have like too much of a good thing. we don't need to waste resources on like a quick overkill when we can just get there. and this fight just went wrong because of like our own idiocy to be honest. you don't need to worry about that. now there's no getting around fighting two elites so
-
17:17
we actually might still be in a horrible spot. i suppose we'll see. bulk up early, then you get your energy back. take a small hit. we really gotta manage our hp here, unfortunately. you being vulnerable would be really helpful for us. i don't know, man. worst hand trick of all time, for sure. we're taking 22 damage. we're putting a lot of faith in this upcoming question mark.
-
18:17
really feeling like a lot of our successor failure comes down to this question mark being really, really good. assuming we live through this, which is, i think, gonna happen, but for a second there it did look like it was gonna depend on the draw. attack potion... attack potion's pretty good. give me a reflex. these question marks could be make or break. block. let me think about this. oh, you have to play a card first.
-
18:48
if we play bulk up, we could easily play three attacks after that. i think this might be a don't bulk up situation. wait, that's awesome. now, can we play five attacks to get one energy back and thus justify the bulk up? i don't like it. i guess we could take a potion. it will help us out because now three bulk up
-
19:28
we got the block off of the permafrost and an upgraded strike does even more damage. okay. phantom blade's very important. cutter reflex. you probably need you to be vulnerable more than we need one shiv. don't kill me. like that's just, it's beyond the pale that you would, oh my god, you're going to heal me. you're going to kill me. oh my god, my good run. oh my good run that was looking so, so good. and i took an aggressive path and ruined my life. that's fine. that's fine. we go again.
-
20:11
i really thought we were, i think we were still guilty of the thing that i thought i was innocent of which is not taking too much of a good thing. if the deck had been tighter we would have been in a better situation man. i don't think i've ever seen corrosive wave really pop. let's see if maybe building around it can change that. always dangerous to take a random rare that does absolutely nothing for you until you add like 10 more cards into the deck.
-
20:48
a lot of people would, i'm guessing at least a lot of people would probably advise against that. but on the other hand, shiny card's kind of cool. are you going to disagree with me on that one? i mean, i feel like that's kind of like an open and shut case to be honest. whenever you draw a card this turn, deal two damage to all enemies. okay. now the astute amongst you will note that we have no cards that draw yet. but when we get cards that draw, oh baby,
-
21:22
we'll really be cooking with gas then. all we need to do, all we want is draw this card. we basically want acrobatics and i don't know if we could somehow make the card sly as well. which you definitely can. now that i think about it, there are also relics that draw. we don't have them, but they do exist. so you have to do damage. but like a... maybe we don't.
-
21:58
transform a strike for me. become something that draws, please. ricochet. it does do damage. just take some gold. we really want to dodge this elite, man. just buy ourselves a little time. you might wonder if i'm being paranoid, but i think the writing's on the wall. this deck maybe, maybe has potential
-
22:23
but we have nothing that makes the potential pop off yet. so like we need, we have no way to kill probably one elite but certainly no way to kill two elites. so what do we do? i mean just keep going until you get a card reward that draws cards. like here maybe? three max upgrade at random. no, heal me first. we have to fight an elite one way or the other. it's actually a great time to have some aoe.
-
23:07
and we do have a little. we might have to pay full price for it, but we do have a little. wait! that was okay. what are we doing, man? what are we doing? i mean, taking four damage against the inklets is not so bad. this fight actually went way better than it could have. can we get some draw? it's more discard enabling.
-
23:52
i need to find a way to do damage, man. i guess we'll make ricochet better for now. the shop, in theory, the shop could solve our problems. but obviously we need to live long enough for that to be a possibility. okay, it's flex with ricochet. that's actually like a pretty huge synergy that we could rely on a little bit here.
-
24:22
huge turn for the unemployed there. and then, survivor, okay, so getting survivor is a big asset at least. this is like a 30 damage potion. we're at least gonna live. you not being dead on this turn is like a huge kick in the teeth, but we get there. book of five rings. rock cards until you have six in hand. okay, it's something. it's something.
-
24:54
we go here, dodge the elite, another shop, a tent. but i need draw, but there's no draw here. you gotta take the tent, man. i mean, it's just, i'm a simple guy. you see the tent, you take the tent. then we dodge the other shop. yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we have none discard. i noticed that as well. whatever, go ahead and make me take 10 damage. see if i care. i don't know if you know this, i have the tent.
-
25:32
now it's not co op, in co op the tent makes you the belle of the ball. in single player it just, i mean it's a start, it makes you feel good. can you guys stop trolling me? i was hoping to get a deflect, but you can actually see that there is like the seeds of a functional deck coming together here. just in time to definitely die to the first boss, but lucky tonic is actually really good.
-
26:09
i mean, are we taking noxious? like what is, what's the point of that? every, whenever you, okay. i mean, outbreak does synergize. we'll probably die here. speedster, survivor, dumping tactician, which gives you the energy to play flick flack. we may not die here. we're going to draw three cards off of this, which basically kills us. what if we were to draw four cards off of this?
-
26:59
four cards off of this, we do eight damage. i mean, you draw a deflect, i guess? i think we still, i don't know. it's not gonna be good, let's put it that way. way to neutralize comes through in the clutch. technically should have weakened you, i suppose. it's literally my fault. we didn't, we hyper fixated on one mechanic, we didn't get the card rewards. it just, it sucks to die with a tent.
-
27:36
now, wait a second. this is one of my all time favorite cards. i love what we're looking at here. we do need to be able to play it. so, like, i mean, the run literally just started, i guess. let's not get lost in the weeds. but we start with five defends, right? five defends that block 10 each. some very solid fundamentals there.
-
28:13
now if only we could get a power that made our strikes do five extra damage as well, then we would just be like i'm not gonna add any other cards to my deck for the rest of the game. i love this so far. dagger spray, i just i really like this card. really good at dealing with aoe, a lot of aoe in general. you're gonna do multiple hits next time. to kill you first is probably the play, which is something i should have realized a long, long time ago in a galaxy freaking far away.
-
28:45
although next turn you're not. you're gonna be doing a solo at i know you're gonna be doing multiple attacks, but that's okay because we do ice you. get one turn up on you. we need like two attacks to kill you. we needed three and we drew three. i think bouncing flask is bad. i literally went to click it to look at the upgrade. but the one thing i was gonna say, and i'm just being honest.
-
29:12
even though i said it was bad, i was also about to say there's a chance we take it just because we need some way to kill enemies and our defense is already very, very well handled, at least for the first floor or two. and i think that poison is one way. like, fasten plus a bunch of poison enablers, particularly like a one cost really slow poison enabler like anoxious fumes or something like that.
-
29:42
is totally fine. and if we get some poison synergies, who knows man? i'm not gonna cry about that. i think it's still pretty good. this is a no. no fast in turn one. like they're literally trolling me bro. you know what? it's a good start. i mean as bad as i think that it might be, getting it for zero is also pretty nice.
-
30:17
now if only we could make it sly. i'm starting to realize where the problem that i have with the silent, which is that i'm always like, well, let's just add sly to this and then it doesn't work and i go, well, could it be because i have 30 cards that are all at odds with each other? we obviously, we love an escape plan, but i also, i really like the idea of making the deck thin now that our defense is good already. and a calculated gamble is just so nice if you don't draw your fast in early.
-
30:51
and a really nice opportunity to upgrade the important cards in our deck. team block, we'd roll over five? i mean, let's do that. and then maybe we can save some energy. i was just gonna say to use the bouncing flask on the next turn. and then hopefully just draw a fasten. no such luck. i think it was a good potion usage though. no defend, man? so you can say it, they're trolling me.
-
31:39
still should be okay though. we had extra energy from our radiant teacher. my bad y'all. it's a tough fight. honestly, if we have to rest, we have to rest. you could probably do worse than a poison stab. and then you really do, i mean, one extra flask is really good against single targets especially. it hit the poison which is all i could ever ask for. some rest. i'm trying to think of what we're going up against. i think we could take on basically any elite.
-
32:23
i'm not particularly perturbed by your existence if i'm being honest. we have no zero cost cards, so i'm not gonna calculate a gamble. that much poison on you is actually awesome. i hate to roll over one block, but i also like to keep the poison high enough that we're doing damage to you. might cost us one extra turn, we'll see. well, block, probably take a chance on it that i've never punished, which is great. that's beautiful.
-
33:08
and you were dead. really good elite fight, glad we did it. sparkling rouge, i don't know how to feel about that, but i tend to like assassinate as a card, but it doesn't fit what we're going for on this one. so true strength is learning to walk away from a card like that. i'm just gonna accept that like on the first turn, maybe it's okay to sack the turn in order to get fastened out there. frailty is not even that bad for us, i think. might be cope, but
-
33:50
let's hope i can hang my hat on. you're doing nine damage, nine damage, mighty annoying. i think this fight basically couldn't have gone better. we're going up against the waterfall instead of the rivers and lakes that we're used to. it's still, i think it's still nothing, which is starting to scare me because we haven't added much. let's go for broken at another colorless. i think this is awesome. i think a discovery is a great card for us. a good upgrade target too, although i'll probably rest before the boss fight just
-
34:29
just to keep myself safe. man, if only i had known memento mori was coming up. but it's okay, a free predator is a pretty good get. and then putting some poison on you. i'm also, i'm acting like you're a hard enemy because you're just big. you present as an elite but you're not an elite. you're just an average fella. you weaken? that's enough. okay, you're cooked. completely fried. i think scientifically this run can work.
-
35:05
i just, i get scared when i'm not adding any cards to my deck on the first floor as the silent especially, but you need it. a bubble bobble coming around here is gonna be huge. and we are gonna want it, we're gonna want to use a potion. i don't know what potion though. really great turn for us to get a blur out there. that just wasn't a great turn at all. really good bouncing flask turn. really good bubble bobble turn. you're basically, you're probably six turns away from dying.
-
35:54
which will put you on like maybe 45 damage, which seems to not be a problem at all because i might be at like 62 health. this is awesome man. i guess we should blur. 38 damage? i mean that's crazy. and i didn't even use a potion. i mean i just have a hard time believing that these would work really well in conjunction with each other.
-
36:32
but a free card from the discard pile is probably worth a lot more. we have an expensive hand a lot of the time. bullet time would work for us. upgrade 4, remove 4, obtain 4. starting to get you. starting to get you. what's crazy is like, upgrade 4, sure. bullet time discovery.
-
37:02
blur and a defend maybe. it's not bad. i think this is the bottom pick right now. remove four is very interesting. because we could easily if removing every strike is mighty tempting. mighty tempting. i recognize we'll be getting some suits. i think it's the way even the upgraded one. and then we have a 16 card deck.
-
37:46
like, to quote stepbrothers, there's so much room for activities. we're gonna be shuffling it up pretty frequently, which is bad enough, but let me see what we're cooking here. a footwork is just the play here. i think this was a very bold choice, but i definitely don't think it was the wrong choice, man. now, we're gonna draw a lot of soots. so the way that we're gonna try to counter that is definitely by
-
38:25
well, this kind of stinks, but you know what? the way that we're going to counter this is by adding some more draw into the deck, particularly like if we could get escape plans because they cost zero, which is huge. draw and possibly give defense or defense, i should say. but really, like each one of them compensates for at least the suit. and that's ignoring the benefit that we have of having removed four cards at one go.
-
39:02
noxious is interesting. i mean, backflip is draw. we probably would go through with that. we seem to have not much problem putting on poison ourselves, which is why i felt like we didn't really need to commit to the noxious fumes, whereas on average on a run like this, i probably would. 16 damage, you're doing a little bit more. still, a dagger spray does a lot of work here.
-
39:33
we're okay until you attack on the same turn, which i don't even know if that can happen. another bullet time. we're like right on the borderline between, at least my assessment as of right now, i feel like we're right on the borderline between this being a slow descent into death and incredibly op. and i'm not totally sure where we end up on this one, but it is feeling okay right now. this turn,
-
40:16
not as nice. we take five damage, but even taking five damage on the second floor is just, you know, you just sometimes match up badly. i do need draw. i'll start by saying i need draw, but enchant a card with perfect fit. we don't really want to remove two more cards, to be honest. perfect fit, i think, is a gimme. we really want discovery at the top of our deck every time. i recognize that it exhausts right now, but that event's not coming back around, so let's use it now while we got the chance.
-
40:52
and then just upgrade discovery as soon as possible. now to go up against this guy and come out on the other side, that would be a treat, wouldn't it? to take no damage on the hunter killer fight, that would make me feel pretty good about where we stand. is this a bullet time? i mean, a zero cost bullet time is a different sort of world because it does allow you to play your backflip. we do want to upgrade bullet time. huge. because again, it costing two means we could play a one cost draw card before.
-
41:32
okay, perfect fight. cunning potion, sure. don't want him. and then it's really what kind of flavor of elite do you want to go up against, man? i think we want this. discovery. knife trap does nothing for us. game block you. now, it's just another bouncing flask. but being able to put out these bouncing flasks right now is really nice. it puts you on a serious timer. and then why not? you might as well keep a potion slot open for like getting better potions.
-
42:16
you know, i mean we haven't really found like a good utility for our calculated gamble yet, which honestly makes me feel better about my choices because i was thinking we have to upgrade that and the fact that we didn't upgrade it and it's been pretty bad for us i think is a good sign that we chose the right relic from the boss or at the start of the act. i don't want prepared. i want escape plan.
-
42:49
let's start with the upgrade. discovery is literally, it's gonna become an incredible card for us, especially given the thinness of our deck is gonna whip around like crazy, man. this is such an insane first turn. our deck is thin, but i think we should still be a little insulted by what we drew there. sure, i'll take a zero cost leg sweep, man, go ahead. need it.
-
43:25
getting discovery early, so huge. accelerant is going to be amazing for us. we were obviously hoping to get a little bit of block, but whatever. everything's okay here. i just went nonverbal for a different reason. i just went nonverbal because i felt like it, not like i was getting scared about losing as the silent yet again.

free bouncing flash to up the accelerant quality. let's calculate a gamble in the hopes we get like a blur and we did. okay beautiful so that helps us out a lot on the next turn. you don't quite die but i feel like if how much poison do you need to die? you need 25 poison on you to die beautiful because the accelerant makes it trigger twice.
-
44:32
none of them work. i've skipped like every card reward, man. okay, two upgraded defense. this is like the one time in history that we're incredibly stoked about that. 200 gold for a mango, 100 gold for a... well, i'll pay for mango. hp is important. and maybe we could target you or you. probably you because we don't want to go to a shop right now. a skill with nimble 2? i mean like a 17 block block is pretty nice.
-
45:05
17 block defend i should say. or on fasten we draw two. i mean, if we get it on turn, i mean draw is just probably the most powerful option here. power does eight damage. just give me 53 gold on this one. now i actually like the shop. and i think a finesse is exactly, it's like an escape plan. and then we take nothing else. okay. now i don't know. i feel like you're basically like the hunter killer. like aren't we well equipped to do well against you?
-
45:46
certainly like a weaken having played a fasten. i block that rolls over zero um, we've gamble for the future. it's actually a great time to have bronze scales. that was a really good pickup that was not a great pickup to be clear, but it happens. i think we stall and play poison we don't need to fill up our pile with daisies. we're already gonna fill up our pile with oh, it's gonna go it brings back discovery that's huge. oh, but then i can't play bullet time. i'm a fool that's okay. um
-
46:24
whatever you get is free, so get a backflip. it would have been, i mean actually, you know what? it would have been exactly the same to play the bullet time essentially. we don't need to clog our draw pile with daisies, because we're already clogging our draw pile with, might as well, with soot. and then we'll draw into discovery. kind of hoping for a big block. it's not a big block, but it is a block.
-
46:56
put some poison on you. now the daisies, well, now the daisies could be very annoying now that i think about it. what am i thinking with this turn? i don't know, but if i throw this on you, you will die before you can attack again, which is good enough for me to feel all right about it. literally, we had to do it or we were, i guess we weren't gonna take damage because you died of thorns, but ornamental fan essentially useless for us, unfortunately, but i don't think phantom blades does anything. it just thickens the deck when we don't want it thickened.
-
47:28
can we do... i think if we get the right cards from discovery, we can kill you. this is a crazy first turn. holy cow. i think we probably add more poison with bubble bobble, especially our bubble bubble, because it's going to whip around mighty quick. 24 poison early has me feeling very bullish about this, man. fasten is one of the only cards in the deck that's a must play. and then it's just... i think it's frantics and poisons, man, and we're feeling okay.
-
48:12
and we hit a discovery, that's right. nightmare? i mean, a zero cost nightmare to give us a bunch of defense next turn feels pretty good. you're not attacking, huh? never mind. it's actually horrible, it turns out. but actually just having more of them in the deck is really nice. oh my god, this is amazing. zero cost frantic escapes, huge turn. i mean, nine block, we don't care. put on the poison a little faster.
-
48:56
we're gonna be totally fine. and we're gonna, we're in for a long episode. but that's good. that's a good thing. i almost feel like you just skip on this one. don't want to be clogging the deck when it's already getting clogged. i wouldn't say it was the cleanest fight of all time, but we made it fairly easily. does feel like a, i mean a melee, we just don't have good energy. a burst is really, really good. and with diatom? no diatom?
-
49:39
all card rewards get replay once. we've taken so few cards that it can really... that's really tempting. it's really, really tempting. i don't think that... swift 3 on a bullet time is really interesting to me, but i don't think that that's gonna work. it would get discovery whipping around fast. discovery that draws 3 the first time it's played. you know what? i think we might be looking at glitter.
-
50:10
and i've never taken it before, but i'm very eager to see what... even just replay on one or two awesome cards. it feels like that could do a lot for us. i don't know, man. i'm feeling all right, to be honest with you. 24? i think it's a blur. and then just... we're kind of relying on bronze scales to kill them for us, but i think that's actually totally fine. free abrasive.
-
50:54
then there's also like shadowmeld will make, i think we actually need the shadowmeld. because then we get 32 block off a single defend, so we won't take damage this turn. if we hadn't played that, they would all be dead, but we would have taken damage. similarly, like a burst into that, into a blur, now we have so much block on the next turn. we have 10 block on the next turn. but they're only doing 16 damage, so now we can actually play an attack in theory.
-
51:30
we've done we've drawn some it does 40 damage okay, that's got me feeling a little bit better about things and we got to use ornamental fan for once i don't know man. i think i've really been i've been defense pilled lately defense has been very nice okay, a bouncing flask that replays one already is good. yeah, we're not gonna get rid of that we will all get rid of calculated gamble. it has not been what i what i've expected it to be that's totally fine
-
52:08
we'll lose some hp to upgrade to randoms. all of our cards are good, so the upgrade's fine. obviously the new bouncing flask getting upgraded would be sick as well, but... as good as bouncing flask is, drawing into a fassen is a lot better for us. that didn't happen. this ended up being a pretty huge whiff. but then, you know what? we're guaranteed to draw fassen and discovery on this turn. feels like outbreak is gonna kill you real quick.
-
52:53
the bullet times are ticking me off. the bullet times are really starting to tick me off. a defend, that's huge because now i really, well one defend is good enough. okay, so we apply some poison, get closer to outbreak work in here. and then i'm waiting to see this replay bouncing flask, but trust the process here, okay? we get discovery back. that's our replay bouncing flask. gain block equal to poison on all enemies. okay, now i like that.
-
53:32
this will apply like 18 poison, 20 poison. if you'll do me a favor, dump all these. i was really hoping to get oh, more block is good. i was hoping to get neutralized, but still. i was gonna say small price to pay, but it's actually like a pretty huge price to pay, but hopefully you'll be dead next turn. because you're doing 60 damage to me. that could have been better.
-
54:10
there has to be a skip on that one. even though, i mean, with replay probably you almost want to take... you really just want to take every card that shows up. check this out though, man. i mean, discovery is so good, but is it as good as... oh, yeah. never mind. don't talk to me. give me two inky shivs and give me... i mean, just give me a dash, man.
-
54:41
i didn't save enough energy to get bouncing flask is the thing there. i'm starting to get a little scared actually. 25 hp is me a little scared. these guys scale pretty quick. we're rolling over zero block which sucks really bad. this might be the end for me and it's hard for me to say that after as good as this run has been for so long. i mean, what do you take here man? i can't kill you so we're really just relying on this to
-
55:17
