gamers we're back and so it's a crazy day. look at this boom boom boom. let me hear you say way ho not quite we got to get the defect. we got to handle the dang defect upgrade a card defect is very upgrade hungry man as as cowardice is this might seem especially with such an early shop i really do like the idea of just upgrading either a zap or a dual cast and then the question is
-
0:34
question is, where do you go from there? i think you just go take this question mark rich path. i got high apple pie in the sky hopes man. you know what else i'm gonna do? i'm gonna choose to take one damage on turn one. i'll admit by the way, i've kind of been getting my butt kicked as the defect. so whenever i say i think this is the move, you should immediately look upon that with a little bit of reservation. let's see what we can do. you know what an early sunder, you could do worse than an early sunder probably.
-
1:10
kind of the goat card to draw on turn two, i would say. kind of the goat card to draw on turn three? definitely the goat card to draw on turn three. honestly, it might not have made a difference on turn two anyway. we need to get it upgraded. let's take a sweeping beam. hang on, i'm gonna drink some water. i think i got a bit of granola bar stuck to my tooth. wash it around with a little orange crush. i'm just kidding. it was sparkling water. spiral.
-
1:53
from the desk of jigsaw. i mean, a defendant defends twice and then the defect, doesn't the defect have a power that makes, it was a colorless power called fasten that makes basic defends even better. they do like five more block, but healing puts us in a much better position. replay one is literally 12 damage instead of six on a strike and we're struggling to do enough damage right now. holy cow, i love fresno lens.
-
2:27
i love it! polygram i don't necessarily love. now is this a remove a card situation? or is this an add a ball lightning situation? i'm gonna go remove a basic strike. i'm gonna say that because of sunder, we do have some aoe, thank the lord above. you kill the one that buffs first, presumably.
-
2:58
it is literally so much less damage to do this than to do this. wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait
-
3:34
we don't have the one with replay, but that's big. and who else is going to eat it? i don't know the order in which you attack. probably this one would go next. oh no, he literally just got his first buff. i don't know. i have no idea, man. eight damage twice is pretty good. on the other hand, this might sound crazy. i think you just take no damage because we have a perfect lethal play next turn. there's no reason to take any damage.
-
4:04
instead you get a full refund and then we just kill you. that was okay. meal ticket is also great. i'm a huge believer in the shadow shield bro. now does the deck do anything yet? that's a personal question. you're not allowed to ask me that. you're not allowed to ask me that. my god, it does 24 damage. and then we can't not kill you. it's math. okay. it was not math by the way, but what does the deck do right now?
-
4:31
not much, but i think if i may, that's actually... oh, i thought i had one more energy. that's actually pretty normal for like the stage of the game and what you're at. i wouldn't cry about that just yet. theme cell... vulnerability to go with sunder does seem like it's pretty important. cards that cost two or more give you more block. dual cast and shadow shield getting upgrade, holy cow! and then an upgraded sunder.
-
5:09
so if we're gonna, you'd play that. i think this is two strikes into a defend. probably you play the dual cast cuz it's like pretty good. and you have replay every time you're played? that's pretty good, man. it's helping us punch through the armor at least. makes getting strength even better. this is proving to be like a pretty good case study, huge.
-
5:50
for the quality of our run right now. like we're taking no damage on the on the basics. i don't think we need another sunder. one lightning rod i could possibly get down with. you know what i really think i want here? like a toric toughness. toric toughness with fresno lens seems like it would be crazy but it comes from a question mark i think. i'll take one lightning rod. eight hp for a relic or a hundred, get a hundred gold and get a forgotten card.
-
6:23
hp is a little tight right now. hello world of all the cards you can give me! hello world, really, really. at the start of your turn add a random common into your hand. with god as my witness, i don't think i've ever like had this card and even liked it. but let's play it. i mean we got it. we'll give it a chance. dark orb is gonna be doing a lot of the heavy lifting if we could get it out there.
-
7:00
focus strike. okay, that came from hello world. we'll give credit where credit's due, man. twelve... i think... let me see if we get a dual cast. no dual cast. i think i'm gonna strike you twice and then hologram back, a zap to evoke a dark orb and then hopefully dual cast this dark orb next turn. put you in a real... put you in a bit of a bind. gremlin horn is very nice.
-
7:35
i feel like defrag is not really what we're looking for. we're not necessarily like this. this is more of like a frost and lightning play. then again, on the other hand, it is rare. next turn gain two energy exhaust the card next turn gain two energy. you know what? add one of those as like anti like curse or burn technology. doesn't this? he puts curses in your deck or something does or is this whole gimmick just blowing up at the end and then acting like you don't know nobody.
-
8:22
i'm thinking should have used dual cast first and then i would have put the vulnerability on you and then hit you with this and you would obviously be dead. i mean 19 damage, three frost buys us some time that's for sure. let's get rid of this. sweeping beam. you should be stunned for yet another turn in my personnel opinion. we own you. charge battery is pretty good.
-
8:56
if this is gonna work, we pretty much have to rest, because we have to have some ability to survive the endgame here. i give us like a 50 50 shot. literally was just gonna play the cards i had anyway, no reason to take the potion. it might seem like we're being a little flippant by not doing much damage, but i'm telling you, like, the dark orb is the meat and potatoes of this, man. the dark orb is what's gonna change the game for us. so as long as it's scaling and we don't evoke it too fast, we're feeling pretty good.
-
9:38
beautiful turn for us, in actuality. next turn, we're going to evoke the lightning. dark orb's going to be at the front. i think you have to dual cast it right now. rather than waiting one more time for it to come back around, the world may look a little bit different by the time you get back around to that. and right now they're only doing 32 damage. that's pretty survivable. draw last. that's an nl classic right there. get the card you need off the draw. that's rarer, so that stings.
-
10:14
that's the reason you're supposed to not do it in that order to begin with, obviously. okay, we definitely want energy next turn. we don't need much, man. we need to put up 15 block. holy cow. oh, baby. now, let's think about what this run actually does. what the run does right now is rely on a dark orb to kill big enemies, in which case a multicast is basically the only option.
-
10:51
i love pale's legion to be honest with you. i really, really, really do. remove five cards after each combat, add one back, upgraded. i just don't think the cards that we would be buffing are that good. i'd like to upgrade a multicast obviously. you end your turn with unspent energy, gain two energy next turn. pale's legion is so freaking good, man. i have to give it a try. and then where do we go now?
-
11:31
think early shop. oh, there's an even earlier shop. okay. might be what we're thinking about. like it's already, it's already done work for us just by making it so we don't take any damage on turn one. now we have to find a way to freaking kill you. evoking this four times isn't even really that much damage, unfortunately, but it's pretty much what you got to do. you don't have any better car. are you awake? are you awake? he is awake. okay.
-
12:03
we need to draw a good defend. we need to draw our beautiful shadow defend, whatever it's called. he literally grabbed it, didn't he? how about you give me a buffer out of my power potion? maybe could do five extra damage, but i think it's gonna be orb slot for some decks, to be honest with you. at least that gives us 14 block. we only took two damage off of that. it's not that bad.
-
12:42
that was totally fine, man. we want shadow shield back. it's like the most important card that we have. and we should only do things that buff dark orbs. okay, chemical x with multicast seems like a no brainer. it's like you have to have it. and then cut basic strike but not the one with replay. that would, i mean, we've made some mistakes with that on the way, but that would be truly egregious. double the biggest number.
-
13:18
that's my advice. put up as much block as you can. let's dual cast anyway. you getting stunned for a turn is huge. this is 40 damage, man. you gotta at least consider it. now it's only gonna be 32 damage off that, but like, at least we get hello world out. that's like one extra draw per turn. see, now i'm selling it as if it's actually good now. i can't make up my mind on how i feel about hello world. not necessary. we're not a status build. i would love to build this. the only time i built status, it worked really well for me.
-
14:01
you're already enchanted. all of our defense are essentially enchanted with nimble, man. enchant with sharp too? you can't put spiral and enchant on this. cards can only have one enchantment, i think. so i'm a big believer in your power lets you draw too. i'm a big believer in couching every single opinion you have in a sentence that starts with i'm a big believer in. i would rather deal six damage to all enemies than get one extra energy next turn. oh, but you're gonna give me a bunch of toxic.
-
14:38
well, i do think it has to be this. heartbreaking. just draw something that gets a kill, bro. wait, it actually still kind of worked out way better than i ever could have expected in human history. turns out getting to play a five cost card for zero is maybe kind of op, man. holy cow. maybe we need some plasma orbs.
-
15:21
i don't think it's chill man. in general, that was an exception. we don't want our orbs to be whipping around too fast. we want one dark orb to basically ruin his life. i'll play a power too. buffer. i don't think this buffer is that good against a fella that hits multiple times, but i do think it might have been the best available option. this is pretty bad. oh yeah, you know what? the buffer was actually good value there. i literally want to, i mean, sunder is good, but what if,
-
16:07
drawing one extra card is not the play. doing 32 damage is the play, though it pains me. okay, and we get double block, which is actually huge. we lost our dark orb, though. multicast for four? can't be done. multicast for two seems like a no brainer for costing zero. 21 damage. there could be a lot worse. ten, this does 32. we'd still need to find a way, do some extra damage.
-
16:45
wait, wait. 40, 32, 10. we good there! oh my god. end eternal feather. bulk up doesn't seem like the play because i don't want to evoke my orbs too fast. i don't think we need more block though. we have like a pretty good block setup to be honest with you. we got a very thin deck and no burning desire to add anything. just cards that like increment dark orbs would hit the spot. let's try another elite, man. one damage, who cares?
-
17:29
i mean, yeah, there's value in sunder, don't get me wrong. actually, you know what? 32 damage getting one back and then rolling it forward is the play. okay, most important thing is the shadow shield. already taking no damage. what are we drawing into? honestly, drawing hello world would be kind of peak. having done that, we can now still multicast for value. multicasting for zero is multicasting for three. holy cow, bro. draw?
-
18:13
that's pretty freaking good. a dual cast might be able to finish the job. crap, we drew it. now i have to think about it. i have to do math. wait, pales legion is back. you would definitely start with a dual cast. then sunder finishes the job. wait, we have an incredible run maybe? in that case, let's do combat. if this is going well, then we can not rest and then fight the next elite. 12 block. maybe instead you start with sweeping beam then to see if you drew a better block.
-
19:02
obviously did not, but 13 damage twice. i wish man, settle for that. we get energy off of it. that's right, bro. literally not that bad. literally not that bad. not bad at all because we have eternal feathers. so we'll heal basically to max when we go to the campfire anyway. definitely not another lightning rod. we need something truly spectacular to change the game for us here. i don't know what it is by the way, but
-
19:50
it's probably not hello world being innate, but it's that's something it's basically more draw. am i wrong? it's more draw. first off, three energy back. that's big. draw two, hit him with one of those. we got our ideal blocker. holy cow. we got to manage this one right though. or do we just need to multicast eight times? that's 96 damage. we mod you. it's hard for me. it's hard for me to believe that you need a second multicast.
-
20:43
but to be able to play it for... maybe you do because you can play it for 0 and playing it for 0 after it's upgraded still gives you 3 which is disgusting man. we only have 1 orb so we're not playing both multicasts. let's be serious people. most important was that we kept our block. that is a big one. not taking damage so i would hit you. not evoke the dark orb. we don't need to play another defense, okay? plus the first dark orb evoke is going to hit you regardless.
-
21:22
boost away, six block and a daze. honestly, literally risk free. two turns channels lightning. i literally don't want it because it's going to evoke this orb outside of my 100% control. now evoking for eight, i believe there's no way you could conceivably survive this. i do think a leap could be pretty good, but we're already so peak. an ftl is draw.
-
22:01
i honestly am not the type of fella to know whether we're in a good spot or a bad spot against the crab. i could not tell you, but i could tell you it feels good to get 22 block like that. and then probably to cut a basic strike from your deck. we definitely want you to be lowest so the dark orb will hit you when it's evoked. you need a shadow shield, huge. and then don't evoke bro, don't evoke. kusarigami came through in the clutch there, just hold, we don't even need to play gunked up.
-
22:42
it's all this orb. this orb is the only thing that matters. this orb is your life. now we need to get a big block on this one. i don't have pale's legion on this turn. don't go being hasty. we don't play that. you can play a hotfix. i could evoke this for six. six of those doesn't do as much damage as i like. ergo, ergo we play what many people are describing as the worst turn of all time.
-
23:25
we have another multicast coming around at some point. just simmer on me, simmer on me for a minute here. all we have to do is kill the rocket before it comes back around i think. they gave us multicast again. you have to multicast early. but they're not, they're gonna go pew pew pew pew pew pew. you know what i mean? so like to do the math is not impossible, but really complicated. one thing's for certain, i think i want to hit you. i want to be facing you.
-
24:08
the only thing is i don't want to evoke this because i have to get this out there. so like if anything we could play this but it's kind of a waste of pales legion. but then evoke the right orb it would be four times which would then be six times so it would go like no no the orb would not go what is six times uh 26. 156 you would literally die you would have 99 block okay
-
24:38
you would gain a little bit of strength off of this, which is bad, but still, it's all we can do. and we get energy. i didn't even think about the fact we get extra energy, which then allows us to play this. we don't mind playing a dual cast on that. and we're in a much, much, much better position now. 14 block, we can get to 21. let's see what we got off our draw. strike it. just hit him with that. the most important thing, we just have to put up block until we can get a dark orb out there. we get a dark orb out there. it's the best day of my life.
-
25:19
we move the dark orb forward a bit, multicast the lightning orb and then just get ready. we just watch out for this to get to lethal. 32 damage with no pales legion. it's loseable. we lost. i find it hard to believe. i'm gonna play, i don't know what i'm gonna do with it, but i'm gonna play. i find it hard. i find it borderline impossible to believe, to be honest with you. i thought we had such a, we had a dream run, man.
-
26:07
i honestly think, i mean, there's probably inefficiencies in the way that we play it. and that's a clear situation where having like a single potion would have changed things. but we had such a strong build. add a random colorless card into your hand. exhaust, retain exhaust up to the eyes. i mean, we're not, purity is probably like the hardest card to get excited about in slay the spire, i'll say it. i hate our paths too, man. let's see.
-
26:39
he's gonna take you back to the pads. know what i'm talking about? angry video game nerd. think about it. check a look, y'all. early fasting is crazy. i'm thrilled to see that. well, anyway, it's gotta be water off of a duck's back after that last one. i really think we did a good job. it just kinda fell apart on the boss. we would have mocked the sandworm from dune. that's a given. so you see glacier, you take glacier. can't afford tents. life goes on, man.
-
27:15
one thing you can do is take a lot of orb slots and then stack up a buttload of frost. splash is literally like an incredible card though. the thing is, i like the concept of frost orbs, don't get me wrong. if i have a problem with them, and i'm not saying that i do, it's that enemies in slay the spire 2, at least on the ascension levels we're at at this point,
-
27:44
they seem to scale so fast that like just playing one card for one energy that can allow you to get four extra passive block per turn, this sort of feels like it ain't gonna be enough to tip the needle. mind you, it is literally one card. so like asking one card to solve any problem you could ever come across is a little insane, but looks like right now we're very orb coded.
-
28:14
we are playing the defects so that makes a little bit of sense, don't get me wrong. but, one of those. let paper wait, not the kind of... not the kind of... i don't even know what you call it, like a png that inspires a lot of trust in your run, right? it's like, what even is it? something you put on a piece of paper on your desk to keep it from blowing away when you open your office window? i don't think so, man. so these are all bad because we don't have ost y, so we'll just... maybe play in a stall... no, no, no. don't play nostalgia. play make it so.
-
28:58
zap allowed us to bring it back. we take one damage. much better, man. i mean, splash is disgusting. refract is very interesting, but i feel like it's too expensive and the upgrade keeps it at three. because i took it two times today. you know, i'm in nowhere when it comes to refract. yuck, bros. really? 16 damage on turn two? megacrid is trolling with some of these enemies. that's all i'm gonna say.
-
29:41
it's gotta be heirloom hammer and then add a second calamity to my hand. ten damage then sixteen damage. it's a little much. and then he takes a turn off. okay. but adding a copy of a splash to the hand would be crazy. five damage twice, random attack from your draw pile. we don't have good ones yet though. darkness, it's nice to just have the option to have a dark orb for boss fights. or for a situation like this one maybe.
-
30:21
literally play a defend first you probably eke out like three extra damage splash me feels like vulnerability might be your best option don't do a cast yet because we only have one orb i think you got to keep that orb and dual cast it like in a turn or so. um kind of rough cool head. it's generating some block. i
-
31:03
the problem is like i need to hit you. i don't have a lot of like high damage solutions in the deck as i'm sure you can tell. 25 damage. like fear is good and ball lightning is good. you're dead. let's see what we get off of this. solar strike. why not, man? obviously that sucked. candelabra is kind of crazy though. maybe we need chaos orbs. i don't know. i don't know. and having a regen potion makes me feel like
-
31:39
we can simmer on healing a little bit. i don't want the brodannas egg, just give me the hp for now. i'll be a coward. khusarikami. you're a summoner, born under punches. i have no aoe, i'm realizing, but you only need to take six per turn, but you don't do that much. you don't do that much damage, so i don't have to kill you. but to avoid getting some curses in my deck, i think it makes sense to keep you out if we can. splash is so big, man.
-
32:17
18 damage, yes, yes, we will be taking that. and then jack of all trades, five additional damage for each unique debuff. well, it's gonna be this, and then it's gonna be this, and then that. and then we probably just kill you with two attacks next turn, i'm hoping. that seems to be the way, what have i done? i've broken my game. second glacier never hurt anybody, probably. you know what? i wanna live. i wanna not just throw this run
-
33:04
just to like just to throw it. let's put this out here early darkness orb changes everything didn't draw a glacier which is actually big because we didn't have the energy to play us. we got a darkness orb out there that do you hear that? mr anderson, that is the sound of your death that being said it's actually not because i have to play glacier and then we'll get one zap out. you know, i give me a random orb. it's a lightning orb anyway, but
-
33:33
i think we almost made a classic mistake which was like trying to keep lots of frost out against this guy. this guy doesn't seem like the type of fella you really want to put a bunch of frost out there against that stun. oh but he died to the uh like uh thorns man. that's huge. i'm literally not even sure shatter could be good. how do we... we're getting this energy off of candelabra.
-
34:00
you know, if we draw refract on the turn in which we get candelabra, it's a no brainer play. it will have two energy left to play with. we did draw it, holy cow. okay, so you can channel a bunch of glass, literally means you're already dead. i mean, call me crazy. i think you just strike to make sure some damage gets to you directly. and then
-
34:42
zap to put the glass orbs closer to the front so they're easier to evoke for more damage next turn 18 damage for free kind of op. okay, so that literally don't get used to it that worked out exactly as we would have drawn it up which you can't anticipate in every situation. i just don't be mad at me i don't have the energy hologram gives us another chance to get refract at the perfect time and charge battery. i mean, it's just a decent card
-
35:15
flex potion on the turn in which you play refract, i think. glass orbs will be good here too. okay, so what do we like? frost orbs early. darkness orb to at some point... well, darkness orb at some point to just deal some damage, man. doesn't have to be to the kin priest. and then we really want to see refract. mayhem. at the start of your turn, play the top card of your draw pile. to be honest with you, i kind of love it.
-
35:49
and you are doing 12, you're doing 21 damage. well, we'll put up 21 block and then play refract for free. ascenders bane for free, now we're talking. okay, devastate, real nice card. already have an, don't have enough block, okay. and then we play refract for free. we play splash for free is all right, man. apply any debuffs on the enemy to all other enemies.
-
36:26
we have none debuffs on anybody. so literally just give me 12 damage. but first, nine damage twice on you, which evokes the dark orb and kills you. upgrade refract, would have been better to play one more card first obviously. i'm trying to think like hologram, no, hologram is something that costs zero maybe but dark orb at the back, that's huge man. and then this turn we evoke a bunch of glass.
-
37:02
this turn we will be doing no such thing. that devastates kind of aptly named on the draw, huh? we play a sender's bane for free? we play a sender's bane for free? okay, free ball lightning, that's a dub. you're doing no damage to me which i really appreciate. i mean right now i'm looking at this and i'm saying this ain't so bad. if we don't have to use a flex potion then like let's not use a flex potion just to add 10 damage, man.
-
37:37
right now we're kind of hanging in there. honestly banshee's cry is going to be so dead the next time we draw it. i think you just take pax end. it's a little less damage, but at least it's not a curse the next time you draw it. huge. completely acceptable turn. this is going like way better than i thought it would. pax end for free? holy cow. take what? take 12 damage? not a big deal at all. strike, we get refract, bro. you're dead. that was good, man. that was borderline good.
-
38:23
uhh... i don't know. ice lance costing 3 is so crazy, man. we're not really voltaic. we're not built for voltaic. i think you gotta take a big swing. no pales legion. too relaxed to the deck. we need so many cards removed, man. like, we need zap to get upgraded. we need dualcast to get upgraded. we need jack of all trades to get upgraded. i'm just thinking of what we can and can't afford to lose.
-
39:05
let's get one glacier upgraded and let's get chaos as well. i think these are five cards that are like not necessarily going to kill us by not having them in the deck on these combats, but will benefit us a decent amount from being upgraded. honestly, i have no idea. play an expensive one and then take as little damage as possible. i really like to summon one up in advance there. or maybe we just want to do something like that.
-
39:48
that works you over pretty good. we gotta find a way to not take damage though. and you're gonna do 20, well just i guess we'll kill you i suppose. that seems reasonable. oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. we evoked it. i did the math all wrong but it still worked. we want refract back. what is this? i don't think we want hotfix badly enough. what did we get back by the way? zap. okay, okay. i think i literally said it out loud before i was like what is this? but i appreciate it either way.
-
40:27
if we can avoid taking damage, i will try to avoid taking damage. holy shit. wait, bombardment was crazy? god is my witness? we go all in. huge. jack of all trades comes back. second darkness orb. i think we're generating orbs too fast for the darkness orbs to really pop off. i think it's just that right now we have it for variety more than anything else.
-
41:10
tough one man. three attacks with sharp. obviously putting sharp on like a refract does more damage. but it doesn't really feel like it's enough to justify spending like 198 gold. kind of an awesome potion for sure. and then maybe just cut your basic andy.
-
41:41
huge. awesome. fantastic. i did like the idea of retaining my whole hand, by the way, because then if you draw something good on turn one but you don't have the energy, you just play it turn two. but on the other hand, we could just draw it on turn two for free. there is that. let's go ahead and use this. loop is free. getting a skill that you play for free and then it's an x skill is kind of like, it's a little bm. you play one of these. channel as much lightning as you can, which is not a lot.

42:15
and then hit you for 10 because i'm weakened. this is going very badly! i want this. and then hit you. then the frost, i was gonna say the frost is literally 18 block but it's not, it's 12. which means you're not getting stunned next turn. but it is a lot of block. bowl is for 0. splash is an unbelievable card. oh my god, you just played banshee's cry, obviously. you don't need to play a glacier. you could play a defend that gets you to 21.
-
43:05
and then like a...strategium into a helix drill. we did use two potions for this, but like the draw was going wrong, man. evoke. evoke. we're taking no damage. hit him again. i'm very glad we used the potions. dual cast comes back. leap. i'm just thinking... don't have a whole lot of zero cost stuff we want to redraw a lot. give me this leap and we're still trying to figure out like a reliable damage solution.
-
43:41
i mean, to be honest, our damage solution is essentially, holy cow, just whatever we get out of splash. and it's kind of working pretty nicely, but you run the risk of being a servant of variance, which does sound like some game of thrones shit for sure. that gets us there, man. maybe we could have played the toxic. where's my splash at? so i was going to say not as much damage as i thought it would be. then i realized i could just do the math.
-
44:33
i mostly just it's kind of like i decided not to do the math. splash me something big here. 18 damage and it gives us a soul. holy cow. we have all of our we have one more card we're missing. it's an upgraded glacier. i literally forgot. that's how good chaos is. i forgot we even had it in our deck and never noticed it was missing. that's how you know is good man. so literally
-
45:06
nah, we probably won't. nah, literally you rest because you've just upgraded four cards this floor already, soon to be five. see what you can do on a shop. losing an orb slot literally is not necessary. oh, another splash! and then we take this newfound hp and we use it to fight an elite. and it's the fella. you don't have ice lance, man. you have to splash. that's criminal. i think it's a skip, man. i know it seems crazy. i think it's a skip.
-
45:52
just because i literally don't want to add a bunch of daises to put a bad, like just from playing a bad attack, it just doesn't seem conducive to my model of success. the orb matters to me and the darkness orb up at the front is like how we're going to kill you without adding a bunch of daises to the deck. or is it more effective to add a, well you know what, maybe you just get some orbs whipping around. the thing is, get some orbs whipping around bro.
-
46:28
we got another darkness orb in there. now are you just gonna, you know what we're gonna do? hologram chaos back and play it again. plasma orb. it's still pretty good damage like on that turn but we obviously we have to be a little careful. i'm not gonna gain 50 block and then if we ever get hit we die because that basically just should read you die. right now at least. on the second to last turn it's kind of an easy pop though. okay we literally it won't play.
-
47:13
i'm sorry to tell you, i swear to you that i know that it won't play, but i will do 10 damage. oh, it doesn't retain. it just retained briefly. we need to push the dark orb closer to the front. sucks to push the frost orb out, but we need to push the dark orb closer to the front. that could have been worse. i think that this upgraded chaos was actually kind of the star of the show on the last one, man. i think it was kind of the bell of the ball. this again? i mean, this again? let's go, man. you're doing 31 damage.
-
47:56
i can literally get to 31 block easily. that doesn't seem right. it's not 31, bro. it's 27. drawing an ascender's bane off that literally, like the greatest thing you could ever ask for. why is this deck working? i didn't think this deck had a shot, man. but it's working. you're cooked. you're done. what do you bring back? splash again. oh my god, it's crazy. it's freaking crazy, man. and this is potion less behavior.
-
48:46
glass kills you. we just need to focus on getting enough block. literally have enough block. this is awesome. whenever you play a power gain energy, we don't need him. i can't believe we have 26 cards in our deck already. aoe, okay, so this is a different type of world. we need glass for this. we got glass. holy cow. getting refract on this turn would be so huge and then doubling it with duplicator. we got splash. splash is also really good. aoe, pull from below.
-
49:31
it's gonna be poison stab and then we i love to play it man i would love to play it, but we literally just can't we can play a follow through though it's 12 damage you died of poison very big we take none damage which seems very surprising given the circumstances. we found ourselves in still don't have a refract kind of devastating for a guy like me, but i
-
50:18
i'm sorry, i can't kill you. i can't. so i'm not gonna play a four damage strike if i can't kill you. just not gonna happen. i will play a refract here any day of the week and then you're already dead and also you're dead. okay. pantograph, enormous man. i feel like there can be such a thing as too many glaciers. you know what? let them rip on white noise. we have a good aoe. let's add it. i wish we didn't have to add it to the deck, but we do.
-
50:56
and what do you upgrade? i mean, white noise for sure. no, you got the attacks from splash are like the only thing that matters. okay, so what's the dream, man? well, first off, the dream is not this, not this on turn one. incredible power out of white noise and then doubling it with the duplicator potion. i think we can do better with the duplicator potion if i'm being honest with you. duplicating probably like something from splash or a refract will probably be a little bit more productive.
-
51:41
you should dual cast it because you're gonna summon an orb next turn anyway. jack of all trades. we don't debuff. every 10 cards you draw gain energy. probably worth playing, but let's splash first. i would say a splash into a dash is not so bad. i'm gonna keep focusing on you for now. rend is basically just 15 damage. chaos is what we need for orbs. probably you hologram back a splash, man. and try to take something that's actually...
-
52:21
that's actually good long term. i don't know if that was it by the way. because otherwise we're filling our deck with detritus, but 38 damage. well, this evokes a plasma orb and splashing... we're going to get a lot of cards in our exhaust pile. i feel like an ashen strike is well within the realm of recommendability here. it's messy, but it's kind of doing something. now hear me out. it's an energy potion.
-
53:05
well, start with the duplicator and then refract on it. this is 12 damage to both enemies, which is kind of insane. and then dump it. and then draw a card, get an orb, dump it. death march literally just does nine damage. how is that possible? kusarigami, if nobody got me, i know kusarigami got me. so you're done. ashen strike's already doing 26. you splash on that. free bludgeon, obviously insane. probably ashen.
-
53:52
legend, this would probably hit you before you get 99 block. just sensible decision. and then this guy, he gave us fits last time, but i feel like he shouldn't be that bad. he just shouldn't be that bad. we got frost orbs, we got splashes, we got ice lances. forget it bro, splash me something good. 35 damage, yeah? 35 damage for free, still pretty good. debuff to oblivion, but it is what it is.
-
54:46
it's a bit of a race. he's 12 strength up, literally can't be killed this turn. splash me. greatest iron wave of all time just dropped. just kidding. we're literally chilling. this is going to be the longest latest fire run in history, bro. complimentary. these splashes are carrying so hard. it's so crazy.
-
55:15
we're still not volte a coded. we're very creative ai coded though, because powers can be really good. i don't know if this run really fits into being an archetype, man. i think we want music box. the reason is... well, let's go through one by one. removing three cards, adding folly. deck is too thick to, i think, make three cards as meaningful as it would be in a thinner deck, as paradoxical as that might sound.
-
55:47
two additional cards drawn at the start of each turn, actually great and we don't draw that many cards anyway. so like this would literally be good. but first attack you play each turn gets an ethereal copy. most of the attacks we play come from splash. so you play, you get two copies of a zero cost upgraded card from another character for free. i think that it's the synergy that we've been asking for. although two draw is like unsexy and could be amazing to be fair.
-
56:22
well, so we obviously can't play the second refract. but is there anything we could grab with a secret technique? like a zero cost skill? we could, yeah man, yeah you could definitely grab zap. how about that? splash me, one splash per turn from now until the end of infinity. 15 damage, we don't care. the power is creative ai beautiful and then summon a bunch of orbs and make you vulnerable and then hit you again.
-
56:56
that went better than i could have expected. still no splash, so what? you hate me? so you hate me. i mean, there's nothing else that needs to be said. next turn, i need a max splash. pounce next. no, it's gotta be that. okay, so this is literally the way i expected that to work. that seemed really good. relics are peak now because again, 29 cards, removing a basic strike ain't gonna do that much. let's just add two cards that draw instead.
-
57:40
anybody up booting a sequence? takes us to 20, you're doing 26. well in that case i'll play an ice lance obviously. that's the, the math couldn't have been mathier. i'll play, i'll play a refract man. it's not like we have big blocks i'm waiting on anyway. darkness orb gives you two more. you're taking eight. white noise gives us some focus. you're taking, you need to take seven damage. how could we do that? we can't, so play your leap instead. still great. took a very, very small amount of damage. hey,
-
58:20
i'm not trying to be evil. you think you'd find it in your heart to give us a splash on an early turn? 11 hp for a relic is the play, man. petrified. it's a funnier relic. it would be a little funnier if we had splash. i'm gonna tell you that. i'm gonna tell you that with authority, man. i don't know why i thought for some reason this would go twice. drink the potion, man. zero cost card. put a skill in your hand. yeah, man.
-
58:59
i mean jack of all trades is interesting, but i was really hoping we might just hit you instead. it doesn't matter, we actually got to be used to potions. but then again, i'm not gonna be mad at myself for using two potions cuz one of the potions was literally potion shaped rock which we get every time. so we have like nothing to cry about. wait, our deck is peak, bro. our deck is serving, our deck is giving. do we have anything we really need to upgrade?
-
59:34
i mean the un upgraded glacier is something or like creative ai being cheaper. i think resting so we feel like we have a better chance against the elite might be a play too. okay, five times you exhaust the card, draw a card. this counts as exhausting a card so joss whedon gets a little bit stronger. so that's scary for everybody. that's something we should be paying attention to that. i'm gonna zap you out there. how about that?
-
1:00:09
ice lance that also exhausts a card, technically. certainly like a darkness orb seems valuable here. i can't help but notice like how difficult it seems to be for me to draw a splash early. case in freaking point. okay, echo form on the cheap is crazy though. finally, freaking finally, man. it's a backstab that exhausts into a backstab and we're now one away from jostri. we're about to take a bunch of damage.
-
1:00:47
so let's not, why wouldn't you play charge battery there instead man? 45 damage, horrible choices. absolutely god awful choices. this is incredible if i could somehow make you lose this. i really feel like there's no way. i can't even draw into anything. we're gonna play these, it's just the question of when. so what are you not gonna play? you're not gonna play a basic strike. you're gonna channel some orbs.
-
1:01:32
you're gonna play a ball lightning that was created another ball lightning when we would have rather had another probably another lunar blast at this point. so it's not as bad as i thought it would be honestly. certainly not awesome but not as bad as i thought it would be. it turns out just having like echo form is pretty solid in a vacuum. okay intimidating helmet is something we may need a super critical in any case i'm happy to see it. and then i think you go right to the well on another elite fight like
-
1:02:20
i don't want to jinx myself, but i don't know how much worse it could go than how it just went. and it still went okay. so you want the energy? i guess we'll see. we probably want the energy, then double up on refract like while we have the opportunity to do so. that's a really strong term, holy cow. and we didn't even get splash. because at some point, legally they owe us splash. they gave us a splash that was worse than ice lance.
-
1:03:05
in my opinion. but we did get to play two attacks for the price of one, so i guess we shouldn't be complaining too hard. well, two attacks for the price of literally one. one energy. this is more like it. that was really good. that was really good. we do not need another refract. i'm just gonna play it safe. we got all we got the test subject. splash downgraded really stings. i have seen it. you know what? we need we want potion space anyway.
-
1:03:45
i have seen situations where it downgrades a card and then upgrades it. so the fact that it didn't do it for us there, i mean, that's like a how come he don't want me man situation. the ultimate strike for epic vengeance. i think you don't play your supercritical. sucks to not have anything to use it with because it's such a powerful card, but i mean, it could be worse, you know, hypothetically you could draw like absolutely nothing.
-
1:04:18
when you have a deck that, if i may, is literally full of good cards. like it's chock full of good cards, man. there's all of them. bombardment, too crazy to pass up. let's put one of them on you. there you go. splash is like so important, but we've already played one this turn so we don't get the dupe off of it. i think you just want to not take as much damage as you can. holy cow. pretty sure that guarantees you die next turn.
-
1:05:02
tempting, but very tempting. all right, we might be in trouble just because like we have to play skills. phase one is the nightmare here, man. so kill phase one as soon as possible. another assassinate does go crazy. i still feel like you kind of have to play chaos. and honestly, you got to kill him fast. no, no, play a strike. okay. i was very tempted to play the darkness orb, but i think a strike is fine there.
-
1:05:46
ideally, you want to kill this guy before turn three. turn three is where things get really nasty. i think we want to draw to see if we get a good attack. we actually did. and then glacier evokes and kills you. okay, now you're in 33. 33 is still a lot of damage. god is my witness. this is a... you do get two for zero. you know what? you take two thunderclaps and you play
-
1:06:29
a refract to get as much damage out there as possible. and then you drink an energy potion and get your frost orbs back. the math is math ing, bro. okay, you absolutely need creative ai out there, but it's gotta be for the—uh, no, no, no. has to be for the right cause. hologram—hologram super critical is very interesting here. you have to play creative ai. let's start there. you would play zapp.
-
1:07:06
you don't need the hologram super critical then. you need the hologram back a one cost block. your best one cost block. maybe one that gives you energy next turn. you could go splash as well, but... okay, taking like 16 damage against the end boss is not the end of the world most of the time. fellas getting a little stronger though. i would think... we do have permafrost so this is worth six block. you probably have to play an ice lance. it also gives you four block off of it.
-
1:07:42
hail storm for six block or random power. you gotta play hail storm for the each combat, not even each turn. okay, wait, maybe they're right. maybe permafrost does suck. this is a huge splash moment. it has to be photon cut, dump a wound, get another wound, dump it. the only way we win is by killing you. so there's no reason to do the math. we're not putting up 46 block on three energy.
-
1:08:24
are we? put up 18 and the frost or we had to think about it. we would need you to be vulnerable. well, it doesn't look like we're killing you either. so i guess instead we'll just die. and i'm completely demoralized. congratulations, you've demoralized me. still, i think we're learning something about that defect, man. for now, thanks for watching. hope you enjoyed it. if you did, click the like button. i'm such a great deal. subscribe if you want to see more in the future. i'll see you next time. later.
