alright gamers, we're back. literally after you get dumpstered as the necrobinder, you would have to run it back as the necrobinder. and the reason is otherwise you'd be like, i'm never gonna play this guy again. so obviously, like now's the time to run it back a little bit. i think it's crazy to think that wasn't like the best run we had last time.
-
0:24
the very first run where i died, that run was actually great. just the vantum kind of hard countered. i'm already moving the goal post, but the vantum is just not fair. luckily, i've looked early and realized we don't have to worry about that here. i literally don't like this anymore. i'm taking a negative pulse. i'm taking a stand against the dirge nerf. let me 89 gold on this one. i think we would lose hp considering we're encountering this event really early.
-
1:02
upgraded strike, go again, upgraded defend, i'll stop. i shouldn't have done that. i don't really want to duplicate anything. i'm gonna go a little doom coded, man. it's early and i have to fight an elite. i mean, i said have to fight an elite as if i didn't choose the path. the passive voice is doing some heavy lifting. but
-
1:38
we're gonna want it to be the right elite, let's put it that way. because we don't really... we don't do that much damage, we don't apply that much doom yet. so this card reward is actually... it would be really, really nice if this card reward was doom related or a ton of damage somehow. reap is... it kind of should be a ton of damage, to be honest, but we can afford to take a bone shard for a little coverage as well, i think. and we should just be smacking you, man.
-
2:12
we need to apply some doom. we need to apply some doom. that was literally a worse attack than strike. this turn, i mean, let's take as little damage as possible. the doom's ticking away. it's ticking even stronger. unleash is a must play. and then in theory, if we could live through this turn, even better, we take like two damage. you're dead. blood vile. blood vile is really good.
-
2:49
am i crazy to think this is actually like playable melancholy? oh my god, we're two elites of this path, man. what have i done? what have i done? well, obviously we can't do anything about the infections. the great news is that there's only one of you, so you're gonna soak up all the doom at first. the bad news is, i don't know, man. i mean, if we get lucky with our timing on bone shard, there's like,
-
3:25
there's a chance on five hp. i honestly thought we won because he just disappeared there. but that was that i shouldn't have let myself get too excited over that. at least one is dead. these two do attack on turn one, but i don't choose who the doom goes to man. 14 we're probably not dead. this is our easy turn in theory, although it depends what you draw.
-
3:57
next turn is impossible unless we get bone shard. and even then we need to get a way to deal with infection, i think. you need to pass away and then we pray? no, we're definitely, we're exactly dead. if i may, we need to take a little bit of a breather before we just select the path based on the first three notes. because i would not have taken the left path if i'd known that it was like elite campfire, two guaranteed elites. and that's 100% my own fault. shoes are rare. i really do like soul storm.
-
4:38
you normally would rather get it after the boss, but we'll just draft every single card that has souls. and then i like this possible two campfire path early here, man. one thing is guaranteed to be true in slay the spire. if you draft a rare from node zero, that is useless for you right now, it will be in your starting hand every single time. it has an innate king stamp or whatever it's called, the royal ascent.
-
5:13
it will be in your starting hand every single time, so don't even worry about it. the only other thing you need to know is that after you enable it, it will no longer be drawn ever. so get ready for that. i will take a negative pulse still. it's not to say we're going doom. i base all of my evaluations on cards over like how i feel when i draft it, okay? and i don't... i mean, when i take the negative pulse, i always feel like pretty good. i'm always like, hey, it's a block that does something.
-
5:46
now that's, i'm not saying that that's good because that's the way i thought about iron block for a long time and i think that card in hindsight kind of sucks or at least i don't like it. but it's easy to sell it. it's like you'd always be happier to get a basic block than to get that. this is not going that badly so far but of course i'm a little chafed that
-
6:16
my deck that requires generating souls hasn't gotten a single soul generating card, but that's okay. i'm glad we at least took some card rewards so we're not just getting stuck here. reeve is kind of what we need. it's an okay attack that also adds a soul. turn one against these guys is just kind of a menace to be honest. turn two, kind of a menace to be honest. didn't even realize. turn three, kind of sensing a theme here.
-
6:53
you do three turns of attacking in a row? megacrit, are you? i understand, okay? you've got the data. just from the smell test, that seems a little nasty with it. three big turns of attacking in a row? thank god i can actually do enough damage there. i need another reeve. we got a long way to go, don't get me wrong. okay, huge. i don't really want a third reeve, but i will take one.
-
7:26
for the time being under duress and then upgrade a grave warden, dodge all elites forever. actually like if there was ever a time to be at least a little stoked that we have some aoe, now's the time man. so like don't kill me. but just cuz i can't survive the insane amounts of damage that these guys are putting out in the early game. like what am i supposed to do?
-
8:10
there's no recourse! it's only node 8, man! you're never gonna be mad about having that, i think. okay, well now like we have to rest again. or i get for the first time, i suppose. and please something amazing actually not that bad. i think we're putting a lot of responsibility onto this one shop that's approaching. if it has something like a haunt, i think we're gonna be feeling pretty alright. if it doesn't,
-
8:45
i think we're gonna be feeling pretty bad to be honest. crazy play? not that crazy. i was hoping to get transfigure on like a better block and then a two cost block to take no damage would have been fine but instead we have a 26 damage turn here. not, not great bob, not great. we take 10. might be the turn to like transfigure a negative pulse and then i guess we should play
-
9:23
a soul, the idea being that a soul storm will be empowered as a result. and now you're doing 13 damage, which should probably go without saying is substantially less than i thought we would have after giving it just the slightest amount of support admittedly. but i thought it would be doing a little bit more than 13 damage to be honest with you. and i guess i'll live with two hp.
-
9:52
so i'll live with 2 hp here. i just don't feel like dance macabre is gonna get us out of a jam. might be a transform angle. could have removed the curse too, but deathbringer applies doom and weak. just not a conceivable way to make it out of act 1 with this one. okay, anybody got any ideas? anybody got any ideas here? i'm realizing that maybe soulstorm actually just doesn't scale fast enough.
-
10:28
to take in the early game, which would make a lot of sense to be honest. are we really at stone humidifier hours? have i debased myself so thoroughly that we have no other option? i'm gonna take the agro path, man. because now that i know, and it's ceremonial beast, okay? now that i know i'm taking the agro path, i know i must take damage. so instead of draft, like i'm wondering if i maybe just misalign my own incentives.
-
11:04
instead of trying to draft for synergy, i have to draft for things that kill enemies. this could be the start of a beautiful friendship, man. instead of like, i need to draft this because it makes my deck work, we go, i need to draft this because it does damage. so what would you draft here then? oh, i'm sorry. i'm a dirge disbeliever. i don't know. it's not in protest for it having been nerfed. it's just like i look at it and i go, three souls?
-
11:39
9 summon for 3 energy? it just like... i don't know. it does not bring joy to put it in marie kondo terms. it does not bring joy to me. what does bring joy to me is getting a good unleashed on this turn and then that poke literally contributes to lethal. and i like a flatten as well and then just going straight up oste attacks. i know you're thinking like, oh he's actually getting it now. but there is... even if we win this run,
-
12:14
there's nobody up there pulling the strings, okay? don't start thinking some insane stuff like that. if there's a god up there, they aren't watching me play slay the spire, let's put it that way. they're watching me play counter strike and then a calcify. and then the synergy has come to pass naturally and ambiently at runtime instead of being artificially forced. i'm not an impatience believer. i've never believed in impatience. i'm not about to start right now. this is a cut a strike situation.
-
12:47
a lean, mean 13 card deck. they actually hate me. it's the only explanation you could conceivably have for running into these guys again so soon. you're doing 13 damage. smack one, play a block potion. actually kind of like a perfect setup here. not even that mad about how this has gone. till you play a block. you're gonna take a turn. oh, you're gonna take a turn to do 11 damage. um, okay. i literally don't mind, bro.
-
13:19
you're doing four damage, huge mistake for a guy like you. now you're dead. that was so much smoother. turns out maybe it's good to have some attacks in your deck. now a cleanse, i literally went back to take a cleanse. you might say, nl, you've lost your mind, what are you doing? reason i went back to take a cleanse is because i know that we might be going up against one of those enemies that adds a bunch of curses to your deck. so i want to make sure i have something that could theoretically deal with the curses.
-
13:48
okay, re perform is just really good here. putting you on 21 doom early does seem very, very nice. let's cut, honestly at this point, let's cut the basic defend. you're on 62 doom, holy cow. i guess i would just put up as much block as possible, but then you're dead. that was the greatest power potion of all time, man. guria is like irrelevant for us. i think capture spirit can be really good, don't get me wrong, but
-
14:27
it's not what we need right now. now, things have been going so well. what if you didn't ruin them for me here? what if you said, you're clearly trying very hard. we're going to reward you with an easy win somehow. i don't know how they would do that. this seems like it's going really badly so far.
-
14:58
obviously we need to hit you. obviously i don't like losing 90% of my hp in a single, in one single turn like that. obviously i don't really like just being killed. if i may, i did say i'll take the risky path.
-
15:15
did they push a... i was playing on friday. did they push a patch or something? like, i don't know. what happened? what happened to me or what happened to the necrobinder, man? this is... it's getting a little crazy. okay, sweeping gaze is like... it's... and i have a full self awareness when i say this turn. it's idiot proof. which is to say... well, it is to say we're gonna play it immediately right off the bat. but it is to say basically you just play it and then you get an attack in your hand every turn. so...
-
15:47
that's not to say that we're going to make it through the first floor, but it is to say that like, it's unlikely to be as, my results are unlikely to be as driven by misplays because it's very hard to misplay this card. similarly, we want to get more, you know what i actually feel like maybe you sold me on this afterlife earlier and then it kind of is an oste build. the sweeping gaze is an oste attack. oh, it's right, i brought it back.
-
16:26
when you think the card is done, the card just brings it right back. i'm saying, mmm, love when you play right hand handed. doo doo, makes me shiver or something. not the biggest ed sheeran fan, perhaps to your surprise. there were probably a couple bigger ed sheeran fans out there if i had to guess. not the biggest ed sheeran hater either. possibly in the market as like one of ed sheeran's
-
17:00
most, uh, least strongly opinionated people who have ever heard his music ever. i think this is a skip for me. i think, let me think, we're fighting the four fellas on this one. we have none aoe, i think you lose 8 hp and gain gold. because i think we would lose more hp than we would gain from the fight, which feels insNLy bad. one thing you could do is cut the curse and put in a curse that's better for you.
-
17:31
i kind of think you could cut a strike, run two curses for a minute and then i keep taking like risky options and then being like, oh why did i die so early? i don't get it. maybe after like an hour of dying i'm kind of locking in here. i'm feeling like the slate of spire neurons are starting to reconnect in my brain. i mean let's not go crazy but take five. it's not that bad and then sweeping gaze is just such nice guaranteed damage every turn.
-
18:05
i'm really just asking for more ost y attacks, man. i just don't think these are... i just don't think they're that good if i'm being honest. but you know what is good? a one cost sentry mode. worst for right hand hand, but otherwise quite nice. now that, i'm not even gonna debase myself by saying, why did we draw so many curses there? i know why we drew so many curses there. it's my fault. wait, this is actually okay because that sweeping gaze is gonna whip back around. nine damage and a curse. we definitely...
-
18:45
smack the crap out of you on this turn. still take one damage. can only...oh, attacks cost more. that's really unfortunate because i didn't draw another attack. if i drew another attack, you would already be dead. that could have been worse probably. can i get...i was gonna say can i get an oste attack? and i basically did. i got summoned. i can't complain about that. i'm going to upgrade again. these are risky decisions, but what do you think about coming here getting a good potion?
-
19:24
what do you think about coming here leaving yourself not enough money for even a single potion? definitely applying doom to you. this is exactly what i wanted to see transfigure goes on sentry mode this i could not have asked for more brings back right hand hand we get two uh, gazes every single turn need a little bit of that need a little bit of this. we're taking two damage we do 18. we just need to survive the next turn man. wait, wait
-
19:56
it wouldn't have killed you anyway, but this this is this is staggering to me. this is staggering. i don't know what to do. i guess i should have rested, but i was like if this if this run couldn't do it then nothing could do it, man. we got the most unbelie and i took stone humidifier and then didn't rest as well, which is admittedly really funny, but...
-
20:27
or was that like 12 losses ago? like i'm on such a salty run back streak right now, i don't even remember what we've been cooking up. is there any other first turn than defend, defend, strike, strike, ascenders bane? do they make other first turns? are there other first turns in the oeuvre? i guess what would they make the cards out of in that case? because there's really, what would they make the hand out of? because you only have so many cards. the only one that's different is a bodyguard, but still. i'm going to pull aggro this time.
-
21:05
i'm doing things i've never done before because i want to see results i've never seen before. look at this. he literally lives. 2 hp. two of the best hp you'll ever see. and then because his hp is so high, we got a one tap unleashed coming for leaf slime next turn. we got a one tap unleashed coming for leaf slime next turn. technically it's more of like a... well, next turn. next turn, we could draw it again in three turns. wait, i'm realizing...
-
21:47
the secret to pull aggro is you don't do the math, you just play it every time you get it and then you end up with a big oste. i love grave warden in the abstract. discovery's too good. heuristic that will never steer you wrong in slay the spire 2. cards where you can choose a reward from a series of cards are op. splash, i'm being told splash is better, but still. splash wasn't in the shop, bro, so we buy discovery. and you know what? on this turn, he sold me on this dirge.
-
22:29
grave warden that draws into souls, that draws into souls, that plays a pull aggro. don't even have to do the math to know we ain't taking damage off that one. and then, well, i was hoping to draw some more summons, but that's okay. i think we like a fetch now. very oste coated run. i think lose 28 gold, two potions, and then leverage those potions for an elite fight right off the bat. weak potion here, maybe explosive ampoule you can hopefully save.
-
23:07
horrible start by the way. absolutely god awful start. free defile. hit you with one of these. one of those. i'll just hit you as hard as i can hit you, because like we're under no delusion that we're going to be able to consistently keep oste alive. still attacking, which is real nasty. okay. maybe we will use explosive ampoule. you don't stop attacking. i should realize that at this point in my life. you never stop attacking.
-
23:50
25 damage, that's why we need to do 17 damage to kill you next turn. we can't get to 17 damage, we can get to 11 damage. so we just play our best, essentially our best blocks and it keeps us alive with two hp. and then we do it this turn and it actually worked. and hey, this is literally whenever ost attacks gain two block, wait, wait.
-
24:27
we don't have that many attacks. rattle's so good though. i think we start rattle, man. and then what about like anything? anything half decent here. anything, maybe a potion? i don't even think a flex potion is that good, man. i'll take another pull aggro, i guess. resting is literally op because of stone humidifier. so we're actually happy that we almost died because it means we get a great excuse to get max hp. wait, campfire build? post the attack because you gain two blocks. 27 damage. i can kill you.
-
25:15
so embarrassing that in my head i was trying to figure out how i would do the math to do 12 damage with two energy. that's one, they should take your slay the spire card away for that one. i'm not joking. that's two block. that's taking no damage. wait, we've started to rebuild the run. another osteot, that's not an osteot attack, that's okay. okay, we don't need to do too much more damage. eight damage is nothing, man. we got 27 damage in our pocket.
-
25:48
definitely the calcify we asked for, let's rest again. now we're at 61 hp. move a card out of guilty. no man, give me a potion cuz i'm about to fight an elite. i don't like this one. let's play three cards from our draw pile. not my favorite three cards if i'm being honest. we know what happens here. this is a fight. you just have to do damage. you're not gonna build up an oste, just hit.
-
26:22
literally would probably just rather have a wisp in this situation. we spent one energy to gain one energy, but we're taking one damage then i'm hitting you for six. we have to be hitting you at all times. this is a damage race. these extra two blocks are coming in handy, man. huge. at least that's the best block we got. can i get a rattle combo off? because he's starting to get a little spooky. he's just starting to scare me a little bit.
-
27:01
we just need two attacks, two attacks, that's it. of any variety, we got exactly two attacks, an energy potion, sparkling rouge. invoke could actually be really good too. i hate this guy. no, no, no, wait, are we chilling? as of right now, i'm sounding the chilling alarm. and the boss is the kin. so we've built no aoe whatsoever. but honestly, i mean, it's a thrill just to be alive, to be honest with you. it feels good just to be alive.
-
27:38
on this mystical planet that we're on sharing another trip around the sun together. i mean, you can call me crazy, man. i don't want to get hit. it's expensive, don't get me wrong. i just don't want to get hit. this is more the type of turn i'd be looking for, something like that. and then next turn, one attack kills you, and then it's like, be careful who you call ugly in middle school because you're dead. vulnerable potion, huge. another afterlife, keep them coming, man.
-
28:11
and then i'm like, do you just ignore these two little fellas? you can't, right? wait, this is an insane rattle turn. well, as insane as it gets for us anyway. we'd like fetch, unleash, no, pull aggro, unleash, the best rattle you're ever gonna see from a guy like me, and then taking no damage and getting a soul. it would go so hard if we could keep oste alive, but the odds of it happening are like zero. i have to read discovery real quick.
-
28:52
it costs, it's free to play this turn. insane then, we'll take barry. just kill him. pull the aggro to keep the tempo going. i don't think it's gonna last forever, but it's gonna last for a minute here. as long as you guys just never attack on the same turn, we're kind of loving life, right? it's a lot of damage. 28, they're doing what, 22? okay, so we have some semi risk free damage. the vuln potion i'm trying to save for big daddy.
-
29:40
12 damage and you have to pull aggro situation. and then we're never gonna get like a better unleash than that at this point of our lives. you're doing too much damage. well, okay, you die, then we can start to work on you. sucks that oste had to find out this way, but way of the world, man. not even gonna play the putrefy yet. we save it, we can get a better situation out of it, i'm sure of it. you pull aggro, you pull aggro cuz it makes unleash better.
-
30:25
doesn't let you get the rattle combo off, but it's something. you're doing 15 damage. 15 damage seems good for me. weakness seems really bad for me. but you're doing 18? well, it's like pee versus poop, man. we both suck. at some point, maybe you just on this one forget pull aggro, just go bodyguard, unleash, rattle. again, when you do as little damage as we do, you gotta revel in a turn like that.
-
31:06
similarly, as long as you're vulnerable, i think we gotta hit you. we even got two block out of the bone flute. great finds in that one movie. let's let's sum it up a little the buffer on leash. obviously oste dies in the process but gotta do something, right? stop attacking me. let me attack you instead. my god, he's one away. please for the love of god. that's a control room gift. that's so crazy. we actually made it guys.
-
31:51
am i crazy to think that, i mean, this is not the reward i wanted. let's put it that way. i think maybe séance just to make sure you're drawing your summons faster and also like the scythe is just... we do 10 combats per floor. no, man. it's gotta be séance. please god. i haven't seen these relics in so long. start each combat with an additional 4 energy. really strikes me that it's gonna be draw dependent.
-
32:22
whether or not this ends up being that relevant. and this one, i don't have the heart to tell you that it simply does not appear to have been that awesome for us. but again, anytime you take this, you're only one relic away from being really excited that you have it. all you need is ice cream. and if you get ice cream, all of a sudden you're feeling a whole lot better about the whole situation. i think i honestly would rather have sentry mode here. being able to get nine damage for free to an enemy every turn.
-
33:08
really tickles my fancy. then we can do something like this. we can afford to be a little bit more defensive, just knowing this is coming out here, knowing that you're freaking cooked, man. sucks i have to kill you like this though, because i have no other attack, but here's what it is. taking no damage. okay, this is really good. now, we're kind of a discovery merchant. like, it had to come in and save us, but still. certainly, flatten is the type of attack we need more of in this deck.
-
33:45
i fully believe, wait this is a great turn actually. i fully believe or at least we're not getting our butt kicked like it looked like we were. i fully believe i can kill you. and obviously i do need rattle back. so i'm gonna need you to give me the card but i fully believe we can do enough damage to kill you before you either fly away or ruin our lives. that was big man. 16 damage, two attacks makes you take a turn off. we have two attacks.
-
34:31
in fact, we have two really good attacks when you factor in the value of the unleash. do we want rattle back? yes, it's like one of the most important cards in the game. i think friendship sure. we don't really want to be doing attacks as ourselves. we want to be doing exclusively osteo attacks. god, the tent would be so good here. it would be so good here man.
-
34:59
i mean this is old school slay the spire. we're cutting some stuff from the deck, maybe adding a colorless potion and then saying you know screw this shop. any osti in here? no osti? give me a wisp and then invoke i guess. really late to be caring about the chosen cheese which i'm not 100% sure is any good anyway. hear me out. i actually like this. not really liking the shop to be honest although
-
35:30
something to be, i don't even think lethality is good. we're more of like a combo deck. i went the wrong way after i said, check this out. so what i was gonna say as we go this way, get a lot of max hp off the campfires. but this is fine too. it actually, to be honest with you, might even be better. i think we want a non exhausting discovery first. and then we wanna take paths that reward us for resting, which essentially to me means we wanna take paths where we maybe take a little bit of damage but hopefully get something good out of it.
-
36:10
now this enemy is going to be real tricky for us to work with, but this is what discovery is here for man. we're doomed to this enemy. okay, maybe you can use that. you're already, well you're all weak now that i think about so you don't have to play putrefied. you weren't supposed to die yet because you're gonna come, well you know what that's fine. you're doing 17 damage
-
37:01
operating under the assumption that big osu! is gonna be advantageous for us. now don't come back and do a multiple hit. he came back and did a multiple hit guys. really bad news. really bad news for us. let's convert um... basic strike into a soul. i am kind of reckoning with the feeling that i feel like there's almost no way we can survive this. i mean look at how much damage i've done. it's turned five. i've done no damage.
-
37:39
there is an oblivion somewhere in here. okay, the flatten is really nice. okay, you want to play an unleash for sure. and we definitely want a friendship. so i think that's the play. to be fair, we haven't taken that much damage yet, but we're also not, we're not exactly like striking fear into the enemy's hearts right now. let's put it that way. we do have a little bit of doom out there, like a very, very small amount of doom. like the dictionary definition of a little bit.
-
38:20
okay, 52 damage for free. 52 damage for free is always gonna be something we like to see. you need to get low enough that we could possibly kill you and another enemy in the same turn. another discovery, please for the love of god. just like if you could just keep giving me berries over and over, oh, it would be so helpful. instead, i get the picture here. nothing. obviously this just sucks. you gotta die.
-
39:15
summon a little bit, six doom on you. i do feel like we're like inching closer and closer, but the trade off is that we're also like inching closer and closer to death. wait, no, we literally got there. and if i may, it wasn't pretty, but it wasn't that bad. the bilitate is so good. we just don't have reliable ways to keep our enemies weak and vulnerable. might just be a simple snap, man. more oste attacks to enable the rattle kill, which is basically what got us the kill to begin with.
-
39:55
okay, we're back to 71 hp. i think you gotta fight more elites, go to more campfires, fight more elites, go to more campfires. it's the only thing that makes sense to a guy like me. absolutely do summon 20. funny to me that we can't even get one bonus energy off of you this turn, but it is what it is, man. snap on him. let's retain an invoke. that was a really good turn. and then i know i just retained it. let's play it anyway. i want the energy next turn.
-
40:35
no attacks to make this work, but we'll play bad. certainly flatten gives us an energy back. 30 damage, we take one. not bad. this summer, you will believe that northernlion will make it to the second boss on an ascension 10 run in slave aspire 2, a game he has played 500 times. they're interviewing people leaving the theater. they're saying, i still don't know how he did it. i still don't think it's possible.

41:29
you're not dead? you're not dead that there's no way for me to make you die? that's sad, man. i don't want to, well, i don't mind taking all this damage because we're just going to go to a camp. that was fine. that was totally fine. i think we want to calcify more than a sycam honestly. and then i think you, you rest and our max hp grows even higher. and then who are you? the man. one big attack would go crazy here. honestly, another oste attack is probably the play.
-
42:04
transform an ascender's bane, poke him, two of these. horrible first turn. but we do lots of damage thanks to the bronze scales anyway. i don't really want to strike you for seven damage, to be honest, and then add a daze into our pile. kind of have to rattle on you. i guess, what are we looking at here? one daze? store it for a rainy day, man. twenty four damage.
-
42:45
i've never seen the show so that can't harm me. you're actually taking so much damage from the bronze scales. this is so much better than i thought it would be. i thought it would be so much worse. that was fine. i don't think we need another invoke. that's a little too much. this floor actually went so much better than i would have thought. this turn was truly horrendous, but thankfully we got candelabra on the next turn giving us a bunch of energy anyway. i mean i got a flat. it has to be played. you don't have to play the strike. you gotta play the flatten.
-
43:18
now dying to the toad after doing so well against the elites would sting. luckily that's probably not gonna happen. and if anything, you're just giving me a great excuse to rest and gain a bunch of max hp, so thanks for that. thanks, you literally like playing exactly into my plan. damage, damage my lord, damage. you have five on you, okay. look at that, we probably would prefer a power potion to a flex potion.
-
44:03
i still don't think we're like, we need lethality. and then we're going up against the crab. i honestly, without sandbagging, i don't know how to feel about this. but the deck has been doing okay. it has to be re performed by a mile. smacked, seance working on, i was gonna say an ascender's bane, we have one in hand. definitely your basic strikes are your worst card. take as little damage as possible, which requires flipping around this way.
-
44:40
and the reaper form i think is going to be disgusting for us. i'm hoping. this turn kind of sucks. turn around. we're going to play everything so it doesn't really matter. it wasn't that bad. we take like nine damage. we applied a little bit of doom. we got our other calcify out there. i cannot turn and face you, which is disappointing, but we actually take no damage on this turn. i take a little bit on this turn.
-
45:19
i take a lot on this turn. i think that the turn is very simple though. put as much doom on you as possible. play friendship for a little bit of energy in the future. discovery is of course the greatest card. it's what we need. start with a flatten, and then we're looking for oste attacks. they don't exist, so stop looking. i do think we gotta play something on you. you're on 80. 15, 15.
-
45:59
you're dead to doom, which is amazing. then we flip it around, play as much block as possible. i still think we could pretty easily die, but it's not looking too bad. what do we want here? definitely a free pull aggro, 24 damage. you have 117 blocks, so i'll probably wait on that. probably simmer on that one for a minute. but actually the defense that we've had in our deck for so long is finally starting to do something.
-
46:34
32 damage. that's a whelp sort of moment. certainly don't die here. you know what? minimize the damage taken. i want to apply more doom, obviously, but... i mean, i'm assuming that reaper form will double up, man. oh, it doubles up, big boy! it doubles up! please, just to sniff the third floor would be so beautiful and so incredible. you're doing 26 damage. i literally can't die.
-
47:16
you cannot kill me in any way that matters. no fanfare? no music? reanimate just has exactly the keywords we're looking for. okay, so now we made it to floor three, we have to start thinking. three cards get swift 3. energy at the start of each turn. we're very rarely gonna play two or fewer cards, even though i think the diadems crazy good. it's gonna be so rare. i think it has to be three cards with swift 3.
-
47:51
and then the idea is on our first two turns when we have so much energy, now we're so much more likely to also get some extra draw out of playing the cards and not have those turns fizzle so much. that's my hope anyway. and swift only applies the first time you play them, by the way. so you might be looking at that and saying, why would you put it on a card that exhausts? because it doesn't matter. it doesn't matter.
-
48:18
and we should be planning for good campfires. so like this is a good campfire to this, to this, to this, to this. yeah, this is like a great campfire path right here because you have a good, you leverage your hp to fight elites. horrible first time by the way. but you leverage your hp to fight elites that allows you to feel better about resting thus raising your max hp in the future. that's big.
-
48:49
i mean a reanimate means we're not taking any damage, let's put it that way. unleashed hits you really good. ladden ruins your life. just invoke on it. it's kind of uninspiring but... and then a discovery this turn maybe? a fetch so to speak. i mean we have so much energy. ice cream would still go crazy as a relic. it would make me feel like i could definitely add like some kind of x relic or x card i should say. you know what? sure man.
-
49:25
33 damage, though i honestly capture spirit for free. we drew off of it, of course. i was like capture spirits crazy because then we have a soul that's just guaranteed to draw a bunch of souls but we're just trying to draw zero cost oste attacks. my god, it did 40 damages off the unleash though. let's possibly last shop. we're never gonna end with no cards in hand. dance macabre. i mean, we do play some.
-
49:56
you play some two cost cards. no, we play like two two cost cards. i would say we don't really care. maybe we really don't need energy. i guess i'm cutting the basic strike and then plating potion maybe to help us out against some of these elites or even these guys. now one day, 17 damage to it, you know what? w playing potion. one day we're actually gonna draw a swift card on turn one.
-
50:38
it's literally gonna happen. you can't stop it from happening. get a slight of flesh into... here's what i'm thinking. snap. retain a soul even though i'm not actually gonna retain it. you must pay the price. calcify soul. catch me. rattle already does 44. just hoping to get in a position where we're not losing any max hp. i didn't run the calculations to a super deep depth on that one, but...
-
51:20
hope you'll forgive me. look at this. i mean, there's no way we're taking damage. also, i forgot about the plating. the plating is a huge part of this. i think these are horrible choices for us. you should still be dead next turn though. orichalcum is huge. i guess i should start calculating for the fact that we have orichalcum. beat potion, dance macabre. they're teasing me off the dance macabre. i really think this is a pass just because an upgraded afterlife doesn't really change the game for us at this point.
-
51:53
we're gonna get an upgraded common attack either way. lose the energy potion. we have so much energy, man. i would happily take another flatten. i don't think it's a great trade, but happily take it. another swift is crazy here. let's throw that on friendship. now, this is not necessarily your best ever rest. take five extra summon off the top, which means that our next one would also be a really bad rest. but whatever, an upgraded card is an upgraded card, man. the fella.
-
52:34
huge, we draw. we play a power that draws, which plays a card that draws. pretty huge berry, to be honest. we play a power that draws. probably should have played our other calcify before we did the attacks. oh, by the way, how about an energy gaining card that draws? flatten on him, kim. really good start. we would also love to pull aggro and then afterlife and then maybe unleash for 27 damage. that's a pretty freaking solid turn one, dude.
-
53:09
that's a pretty good turn one. now turn two is horrible. turn two is god awful. but we get a little time to set up at least. four burns in the deck. call me mister the way we got burns in our deck. we animate like crazy i suppose. retaining a burn is funny but i think we're just gonna let you burn us. it doesn't do damage to oste, but retained soul is kind of nice.
-
53:45
but we're definitely gonna play it into a discovery. how could you? how could you do something awesome for me? probably a death march? there was a part of me that thought, you know, if we could transform these burns that'd be something too. we take three damage. as i've said in the past, it's literally good for us
-
54:18
to be taking damage because it makes me look less stupid when i rested the campfires. now i think it's literally smart when we rested the campfires right now, but a lot of people think that it's stupid to rest in any circumstance and slay the spire. but i think stone humidifier is like heavily underbought right now. and i mean at the same time i do want to avoid derision. so there's like it's a complicated web we weave is what i'm trying to say. not being able to kill you on this one is really disappointing.
-
54:52
we're gonna take, no it's not because we're gonna go to the campfire. yes, exactly. actually, we still don't feel like we've really had that much use for borrowed time. you know what? i mean, better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it, right? third floor has been pretty nice so far. this is an unbelievable draw.
-
55:21
to get defend defend strike on the end of turn 3 is an act from a criminal enterprise. it's that simple. i mean, honestly, a zero cost trans figure on like a rattle seems like it would go absolutely insane. and then you would play like, i get that you're doing no damage. i can't afford to spend on summoning first. i think we would like unleash... no, maybe we can.
-
55:54
probably pull aggro, unleash, then flatten is free. then you're gonna hit for like 60. actually the second attack did more because you had attacked what we had attacked one more time. that's nice. obviously this sucks really bad but you being weak is good. 34 damage. honestly i think you just play a calcify. wait it's not even it's good that we're taking damage because we want to rest anyway.
-
56:26
one day he's gonna get it. how many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man? or a kalkum saving oste's life? we like a snap? i don't really care. cuz i think it's defend, borrowed time, flatten, and then huge rattle. i would happily add another fetch. most of the time it's gonna draw. insNLy bad first turns. it has to be said, don't be mad at me for speaking the truth, okay?
-
57:20
you need calcify. i mean there's a lot of good stuff in there, but you need calcify. now bro's about to go to outer space. we want, oh yeah, you fetch on him. calcify first, obviously. while doing it second, but you get the idea. you know what? flatten on him real quick one of these. another reanimate. oh, and another flatten off of that. drawing a bunch of cards. another flatten off of that. i would just afterlife borrowed time. pull aggro, man.
-
57:54
54 hp oste? i mean, i'm feeling pretty solid with her right now. and you've come back down to earth. a terrible decision on your part. okay. but none of those are like a run winner for us. well, man, here we are. 106 max hp. made it to the third floor after some seriously, some tough fights. let's, or some tough breaks. let's put it that way over the last couple of videos. need that.
-
58:44
i would really rather just play an attack because i would just like you to be killed. actually, i mean, sure, domain is great, but re perform is like so essential for trying to kill you fast so we lose as little hp as possible. to be frank with you, you should be cooked. we're doing 25. okay, this i'm happy to leave you here and play no other skills. next turn we have so much energy.
-
59:24
you're not dead, which is ticking me off, but it's okay because we're still taking no damage, which is the important part. we get a turn to play our cards, man. that's nice enough. basically, free summon. and now things are going to get a little nasty. we're already in a good position to not take damage. you need your calcifying. you need to play everything. it's that simple. 44 damage. it'd be great to weaken you.
-
1:00:03
we're not gonna weaken you, but i mean, barry does apply just a stupid amount of doom onto you. maybe if there was ever a turn on which to feel half decent about playing a speed potion, it might be there. now if we could just do like the raw damage that kills you would be so nice. obviously ridiculous to ask for that given how much hp you have, but we put up a decent amount of block there.
-
1:00:33
now this turn, actually you could do a lot worse than this. just being able to play some summons. i mean i don't even know what you would do with this man. we have enough energy to feel good about putting it in the deck i think. what do you do? you get intangible while doing quite a lot of damage. 45 damage. 45 damage is an awful lot.
-
1:01:11
i think you basically just chill on this one. it's looking unlikely we're gonna make it through this boss. i really don't wanna throw this potion out here, knowing it does so much better against the door maker. but i mean, this is just kind of a nothing turn, unfortunately. come on, big rattle, big rattle, small rattle. i got guns to my head. i think i'm going down. can't believe what's happening in my hometown. i don't even think we can get there. even with everything we got, i don't think we can get there.
-
1:02:00
