gamers we're back. i can't believe we oh no, no, i can't believe the fumbling we've had lately but this is this is next level fumbling man honestly, i'm gonna i'm gonna take getting through act one is difficult as the necro binder on ascension 10 that is why
-
0:24
i have decided to take neo's talisman so that we have a little bit, we've tilted things ever so slightly towards our favor. i really don't like the idea of like losing, i mean cutting two cards is awesome but taking 16 damage is kind of devastating to block on this. because then we have to almost certainly rest at a campfire
-
0:53
and if we have the rest of the campfire, that puts us way behind the 8 ball of like upgrading our best card so we stand any chance against the elites, much less the boss. so i think that i was looking at like the knock on effect of what was happening and i thought this was the right play. honestly, we need damage. you take a defile. four of time is a better card in a vacuum, but i think defile is damage, which is what we need. if i may, this is really good, but panache in a soul build strikes me as being mighty fun.
-
1:26
we can't afford the grave warden and the panache much less the... we need some form of aoe to be able to get through some enemies. it pains me. it pains me, but the high five is the right play. we need to be able to live. and also, i mean, high five is a fun card in its own right. we shouldn't be too disappointed about that, but for some reason i am. but i'm definitely guilty of being like i had a perfectly fully formed build in my head without having gotten like any of the cards that
-
2:01
guarantee that it would have come to pass. we do kind of have an oste build, man. so toss me a flatten, whatever. even playing it for two is like having two strikes on one card, which, you know, we're in like the only time in this entire game where that would ever be acceptable. but as long as we're there, i'm not going to complain about it too much. now this turn, it would be awesome to not take damage. we will, of course, be taking damage.
-
2:34
well, no, oste is gonna be taking damage. we're gonna be fine. and you don't need to play the vulnerable just because he drew it. look at that. that's a case in point, man. and you know what? pull aggro. pull aggro has something synergistic with the rest of the run. we actually might be cooking up something that survives act 1. and i do feel like this boss is not that scary. i mean, obviously i've died to this boss enough times for like one lifetime, but
-
3:11
it's not like the first eight attacks we do to it don't count, which is my litmus test for a boss being really, really, really annoying in act 1. you're not dead, huh? still taking no damage. this fight, for how quickly this enemy scaled, the fight's gone pretty well. azulis gift, great to save for the boss fight. i think an afterlife is pretty good here. we actually can afford the upgrade, which is crazy.
-
3:42
and more vulnerable and a little bit more damage also good. are we, what are we, are we in the jungle or are we, this certainly looks like the dang jungle to me. which means you're probably a single target enemy but i still think we take a shot at it. you're single target and aoe. and for some reason i'm spinning this as if it's a good thing. you know what, if we pop ritual now, by the time you turn into aoe, high five might be able to get a kill.
-
4:19
i don't like getting hit in the face for this much damage, but whatever is what it is. probably i could do 12, i could kill you. yeah, actually obviously the right place so that we don't get any more infections than is strictly necessary in our deck. and then drawing, we didn't draw so let's not worry about it. but drawing the vulnerability card would have gone freaking crazy. well, let's just draw it here. it's even better if you draw it later.
-
4:55
nope. no can do i'm afraid. but still this isn't even that bad. this has gone so much better than i would have expected. now with the knowledge that it did cost us one of our best potions, but i mean for a good cause and it gave us a great potion in return. bone shards totally fine. bone shards in harmony as they say as i do. again we have great aoe. dang. i mean i think it's two elites and you rest at a campfire in advance. 41 hp. we're gonna have to
-
5:35
i have to make hay while the sun's up on this one. i'm going to double up on a high five, basically assuming that we need to kill you as soon as possible obviously. oh my god we have so much energy this is awesome. this then this then strike then strike then defile. okay we might be able to do 38 damage in one turn. oh that's so huge!
-
6:13
taking no damage knowing we have another elite fight right around the corner. give me another afterlife we can find a way to play it man horn cleats big too. wow. this is like this is nasty or is it do we just kill them all instantly? that's awesome. i will never take dirge i don't believe in it. obviously, this is annoying as well, but it could be worse should have hit one first that we should we should have burned a strike to hit one first. oh
-
6:44
then we would have done way more damage with the high five, but alas. six energy, that's big. let's make sure we get a kill. you're doing 15 damage. i have 29 block and a 10 block battery. holy freaking, this is really good, man. i'll take a right hand hand. we obviously want like a calcifier or something like that. i think we, give me the fish oil, save the power potion for the boss.
-
7:25
this is still pretty tough. dude, we have 37 block though. i don't think we're gonna do 35 damage on this turn. wait, we totally are? oh my god, gambling chip is crazy. i just honestly have a hard time imagining we're gonna be able to play a severance out there. i think this is a skip. we got too many afterlives in the deck already. rest, make it through the first floor, hopefully get to that second deity that gives you an awesome reward. who knows what could happen, man?
-
8:05
i'm gonna try to just get a big summon off right off the bat. calcify is big, probably the best thing here. you have to play the file. it's core, it's a win condition. six energies, this, this, this, this, this and this. they're still playing the dang warm up music. fights on little bro, fights on. no attacks, wait one attack. i think we take zero. we're not big ost dependent.
-
8:55
certainly oste dependent, but not big oste dependent. like he's on 1 hp, sac him for 24 damage any day of the week. this is going really well. more vulnerability would be nice. it's the right time, alas. i gotta put you in lethal range on the next turn for sure. otherwise, or next two turns, which is good because this turn turned out to be useless for us. well, i gotta hit you for 18 on this turn, very unlikely.
-
9:36
i hit you for 16 and put up a bunch of block. that actually seems like probably the best we could do given that we could only play one card. got lucky, it kind of did everything. great rest before the boss. i know some of you are clamoring for a freaking upgrade. it's just undeath. but undeath i think is pretty good, although it can clog our deck without having a bunch of draw. we don't really do ethereal, so banshee's cry is like untakable. this is the fella i want to see! unleash becomes protector.
-
10:13
sc imbued? i mean, four summons, seven block. i'm kind of snoozing on. even i get that it's like 11 block. just wondering i mean, also you could play undeath, which would give you a second undeath faster. it gives you seven block on the first turn. man, i think you've got to get a pull aggro out there. i don't even think it's that good, but they made it cost two for a reason. let's put it that way. and then...
-
10:55
in the afterlife, i kind of snooze on them. problem is, now we kind of like don't really want to play bone shards, even though it was obviously the right play there. but we're not big osn coded, but that doesn't mean that, i don't know, i got to think about it. scourge is not bad, man. play a soul of random. we're definitely not super soul coded, but we could change that.
-
11:35
i don't buy it. sounds crazy. i'm going to put a scourge in here. why? we're not a doom build, but it draws two cards. this is a really good starting turn. honestly. it draw, it draws two cards. it gets on base. what do you want me to say? it gets on base. i think we'll be happy to have it. especially if we draw it on the same turn when we get the energy from candelabra. i'm doing 23 damage. you're kind of ticking me off. cause i know i was just going to say, i know i got gas down there.
-
12:27
i could take 11 damage off the field. yeah, it's probably the best option. i think we could have done it in one last card and then played a defendant taking no damage. this is why you should probably slow down sometimes, allegedly. you know what? lots of interesting plays here. this one leaves us in a mighty good spot. still feeling real good. yeah, why not? we can draw into it by our scourge card. we have a real shop coming up, don't we? possibly have two real shops.
-
13:10
confusion is not what we need. you could do worse than venerable tea set and happy flower, but you know what this means to me? i think you dodge those shops and take this path instead. i'm not giving you horn cleat. i will give you 100 gold for a random relic. whenever oste attacks game two block, that's a w for us. that doesn't mean we win the run, but that's a really good card to receive. and then turn two, we get tons of block. it doesn't matter at all. size 12 oste. four energy.
-
13:59
definitely start there. this time, i don't think you want him dying. he's a very useful block battery for us. and honestly, the longer he lives, the better he gets. which is why i'm slow playing you here. there's a part of me that thinks exactly... there's a part of me that thinks we can just scourge on you, draw some more cards, play a little borrowed time. would you rather defile and strike or play a single pull aggro?
-
14:31
it's gotta be a defile and strike angle on this one. and then we got a huge block battery. and you're cooked, man. you're cooked. that went very well. we don't apply a debuff enough for this to be justified, i think. at least not as of right now. i think here's we have to get greedy. definitely upgrade the card that gets played instantaneously. we have to put ourselves in a position to win. for me, that means like going all out on the potions or
-
15:11
yeah, this is really big. and then also gaining energy drawing some cards like i said all in. i don't know if you heard me, i said i want all the bacon and eggs in the restaurant. you know what i'm talking about? ron swanson, cross the plane. greg jamings, he can know damage. at worst case scenario, you're two turns away from death. you literally give us more block by being alive.
-
15:52
we take one damage, that's really good. we did use two potions. i was hoping we would get one back. well, i think that's a very good sign and we got a relic. and a potion belt would be awesome if we could get that beast filled up. okay, now with no potions, how do we like our chances? i think you gotta give it a try, man. i was really hoping to have some draw. could play a borrowed time just for sport at the end, just for sport.
-
16:40
we definitely want a high five. it's the straw that stirs the camera's drink. we have aoe, which is what we need. and then it's all about load management, like joel embiid. hold. we take three damage, but i didn't want to kill you on this turn if i could instead kill you on the next turn and maybe kill another one of you at the same time. and now it's a beautiful time to play. you start with unleash. you start with afterlife. unleash.
-
17:21
then this gets a kill on the enemy that would have died to doom, but this prevents their damage from coming out, which is very important for us. we take seven damage again, but we could probably kill another this turn. this is actually a big one for us right there, because we killed both. that was not bad considering we had no potions. we don't necessarily apply a ton of doom. i think a snap can do some work for us.
-
17:50
i'm gonna rest because i wanna fight the other elite. i really think, i don't see this as an a10 winning deck right now. you don't need this yet. because i don't see it as an a10 winning deck, i think what that means for us is that we need to take risks fighting elites so that we can get something that makes it into an a10 winning deck. you need to play your defense first, that's my bad on this one. and then your summons at the end. oste is living large off this one, that's big man.
-
18:38
oste's still alive. he's not exactly crushing it as well as he used to, but he's still alive. start here, then you play something like this into a flatten. wouldn't be caught dead playing a defend that generates one block for us. you're literally dead, bro. this is not even that bad and a cure all is a crazy potion. we're doing fine on energy. i think we could do worse than another flatten. this on turn two is just so much better, man.
-
19:17
they pull aggro need should have played well, i don't know do we even want to play right hand hand in the situation where it adds a days into our deck with no calcify you probably want to think twice about that one. certainly defiles and upgraded strikes for sure. everything's going okay. like this is this is surprisingly not too bad. let's retain the bone shards because we'll want to play that when osti dies and i do fully expect him like
-
19:53
pass away at some point. you're doing 32 damage. soul drew into an attack. that's actually awesome. but the thing is, you are blocking 15 right now. i can obviously take you to a level where doom would kill you. but we're better off not killing oste to get a block. we're better off playing that. oste will block a little bit. we even got a couple of extra attacks in there. but a non minion enemy dies to doom, heal 3 hp.
-
20:27
a unique situation, i think lethality is just like an always take, but unique situation where actually i feel like we might get some value out of book repair knife despite not being a quote unquote doom build. this is amazing. you play lethality, then you play high five which does extra damage. then you play two flattens. call me crazy, you probably draw two cards gain in energy, snap and hold an undeath. no, snap and hold the grave warden and then play the undeath to get more of them in the future.
-
21:03
i think we might be able to get away with holding the regen potion here. ideally we would hold it till like the second a10 boss, but we're kind of getting into fantasy territory there, i think. don't need to play, but it would be nice to have borrowed time retained, but we don't need to play it here. pretty bad turn, but that's life, man. play your best attack first and then i think you probably just play him out, man. what does that mean? all right, there's no words on it, et cetera, et cetera.
-
21:44
everything's going fine. soulmate first. wow, what a horrible turn. i think you want to play this and then bring him back to life. actually feeling pretty great about that. this is a beautiful turn. kind of a dream turn for us. we're still two turns away. we will draw a frantic escape. we, in my opinion, would probably be wise to play it. we didn't draw any attacks. don't kill me this time. okay, this is a big turn for attacking. oh, we get nothing? that's fine, bro. no, that's fine.
-
22:34
don't kill me. 30 damage. brother, we might have to pop this just to have a chance to stay alive. though it pains me to pop it so late. be nice to kill you this turn. where my fellow is at? we die. we obviously die. no, we live! we live to fight another day. and then we die! are you troll lake man?
-
23:25
oh, the worst part is like you're also dead. you're also dead. it stings man. it stings because like that was a really, really good run. i think we just we didn't draw our, we'll play necklobinder again. we didn't draw our, maybe we didn't have enough blocks in the deck if i'm being honest. probably didn't have enough blocks in the deck.
-
23:52
okay, well we run it back. i was feeling that one. i was feeling like that was one of the strongest necrobinder runs we've had. especially a strong necrobinder run that wasn't just based on getting like one really good random rare and then building around it. it felt like we constructed that one. we had some agency over that one. easily could have killed you i think if we looked at how the energy shook out there, but we still get you regardless. i mean barry would be awesome
-
24:27
if i could find a way to play it. but i think defile is actually the kind of card you need early and a fresnel lens, oh lord. okay, so we got some really potentially awesome blocks coming in. and then you're literally gonna take a turn just to debuff me. horrible use of your time, by the way. and then i'm gonna come through here and go, boom! no, i'm not actually because i can't kill you. i can minimize the damage done to myself, but i can't kill you.
-
25:06
kind of crazy. i almost couldn't believe it myself but i mean honestly i like a drain power. you're in my hand drain power you know what i'm talking about? it's not a brain power reference this is strange powers off of that old magnetic fields album. the one the one well before 69 love songs yes the one well before it
-
25:36
i'm gonna try a jack of all trades just cuz i'm feeling unusual with it. feel a little zazzy with it right now. i never take it. it's in the game. it must do something. it must do something or it wouldn't be in the game. it wouldn't cost an energy if it provided us with no value, right? you know what? i think a bodyguard would go crazy on this turn. you hit for 12, we need like two blocks. i'll hit you for 13, still take no damage. let me see what it does, man.
-
26:12
a little flash of steel, paying one energy for a zero cost flash of steel, greater than sign. i love pull from below. i think knowing that we have it this early, we could start to talk about like building into it. but maybe dodging elites for now. bronze scales, okay. maybe we shouldn't be dodging elites. horrible play there, don't talk to me. fisticuffs equilibrium. thing is, fisticuffs will be better next turn. and in fact, there's a part of me that thinks, what about fisticuffs?
-
27:03
you know his fury, fisticuffs again, actually turned out mighty nice. and then a fisticuffs, it actually went pretty well, man. we'll apply a debuff to an enemy. we just don't debuff enemies reliably. i love sleight of flesh. we already got a different build around, ben. you know what? it's time to bury the hatchet. a card, an ethereal card would go crazy here. i'm not pleased with this. and i said i'm dodging elites, i'm dodging elites. i'm true to my word.
-
27:59
i think that's a powerful intro here. eternal armor? okay. i mean, i don't see a world in which our hand is going to be empty in all likelihood, given the circumstances, but i also don't really see a world in which you do anything to us, really, for case in point. i mean, another pull from below would be nice, so we need to get ethereal cards first. i think we just send it, man. devastating turn.
-
28:45
we take what, five damage? we're gonna have to rest before the boss anyway. you're doing 14 damage, that stings. calamity, whenever you play an attack, yeah, that's not gonna happen. attacks, that sort of thing is in my bag, baby. wait a minute, send it. death march for eight? nah, we gotta put up a little bit of block. i'm not playing the gambit, okay? there may be some circumstances where i would consider it, but this ain't one of them. another ethereal card, it has to be done, cuz pull from below needs to scale.
-
29:25
now we have vulnerability too, very important. you sleep for a little bit? that's huge. i do need to play this. end this. i need to wake you up because i can't afford to lose my ethereal cards. so it's not the best dirge you're ever going to see, but i can't lose my ethereal cards. a power please. splash is crazy. splash into a gamma blast. there's no way this doesn't bring back something. well, it brings back a freaking
-
29:55
which is sort of tough for me to do anything with at this point. but we're scaling pull from below quite nicely. i love the turns of play themselves even though it usually means things are not going that well for you. that was huge. now you're gonna debuff me but first, first, whatever discard pile that's the next guy's problem bro. do two damage to an enemy add four slimes into your discard pile. yep, i'm thinking it's the trade of the century.
-
30:43
okay, so we have to kill you next turn and we're going to because we're gonna drop pull from below well y'all it's been a slice. i'm gonna be back with another one for now. thanks for watching i hope you've enjoyed it. it's like what an upset a great deal. of course subscribe you wanna see more in the future? i'll see you next time later
