gamers, we're back immediately. let's let it fly man. random. the defect. the boy. it's been a while. i don't know if i'm gonna be blocking an orb or something over here. we'll see. okay, early echo form is obviously amazing. if you can play it, which is gonna be our challenge. and you also, and i always say this, you're under no obligation to play it against every enemy.
-
0:33
but certainly it's probably worth a turn to play it against elites and bosses. probably elites, almost certainly bosses. now it is crazy to think so long ago the defect was our first a10 victory, man. i honestly feel like a sunder having played an echo form is basically like a boss destroyer. crazy hit, honestly.
-
1:07
i would stop you right there. some max hp is important and we already got a demon hit, i.e. we didn't upgrade one of our basics. now it would have been nice if it upgraded like zap or dual cast but still. and i always struggle with aoe so i feel like that was actually a pretty good get man. the millennial hay just fits so nice man and trust me i would know.
-
1:38
i do feel like as fun as echo form is, like, don't we just hit you for 27 damage turn one and then almost certainly kill you on turn two? yeah, okay, fair enough. bro was, he thought he was from, yes, he gets up, he gets down. okay, buddy, whatever you say. tiny mailbox, i like it, i do like it. we're gonna need an upgraded sunder. i'm just, wait, what floor are we on?
-
2:12
where are we? are we in the jungle? this looks like the jungle to me. jungle is a lot of big enemies as elites instead of aoe. and i think we do really well against big enemies. this is basically aoe. but spending one turn to get the echo form out there is going to pay crazy dividends, man. i'm literally not going to dual cast. we can just play the dual cast later.
-
2:46
a double sweep on you. thank you for not drawing sunder, which is really all i could have asked for. next turn, if we get sunder into a sweeping beam would be so nice, man. but we just want them to be out of order with each other. and then draw, my god, a double sweeping beam goes so insane here. if we could just draw double sweeping beam. all right, we take a small amount of damage. the great thing is double sweeping beam, it doesn't go out of style. just draw it on this turn, man. double sweeping. yes, a double sweeper.
-
3:29
huge. and then the greatest dual cast ever. tuning for 10 skills equals 7 block. honestly, i kind of like the idea of another sweeping. i might just be fighting the last war with that one. i got an idea on this one. but i really think, and my reasoning is fairly simple to be honest. we have good single target coverage. the single target coverage that we have is sunder, especially with like an echo form.
-
4:12
the struggle that we have is aoe and now with two sweeping beams that would, i mean that gives us great aoe coverage at least early. ftl is pretty good too. now here was my plan. we rest, get two potions. i think we take one potion off of tiny mailbox but still this gives us the gas that we feel like we probably require to take out an elite. wait, it's the best day ever.
-
4:45
sunder to kill an enemy and then an echo form off of the energy from the sunder. double up on defend because the only thing that matters is like not taking damage over the rest of the fight hopefully. you don't need to double up on defend here, we could double up on a little draw instead. don't draw a sunder please. i mean that is like the ideal first turn for us, we couldn't have basically done anything better than that. there's no reason this can't be a claw deck to be honest with you.
-
5:21
it's exactly the same turn. not quite, you know what? we can afford in this case, we can afford not to play echo form to save for damage against an enemy that will likely die fairly quickly anyway. the kind of offense we got out there, not bad. so the potions i don't want to talk about but these are the best potions for us. this is exactly the fella i want to see.
-
5:54
let's start with 9 hp per turn. save the other power for the boss. certainly play asunder. i'm not gonna do 41 damage. still pretty good. could do, it doesn't, it has to be, he takes the damage after his turn, but i still think we easily own you. that was awesome. colorless potion and a meal ticket. now it doesn't even say like i got colorless potion and a meal ticket. be right in my head and they won't go. i kind of think,
-
6:32
i bet y'all, got the sam pelly cap. i'm happy with what i got here. tiny mailbox is screwing me cuz it's making me look like i'm losing so many potions, which admittedly i am. but at the same time, a power potion is literally gonna be better. happily, i'm gonna take it. nine plating is kinda crazy though. but i really wanted to play two cards from the draw pile on the off chance that it is going to give us our echo form, which would have been
-
7:12
well, it simply would have been swag, but this is okay. it gave us the plating that made us feel like we could afford to play like an echo form. and then what do you double up on? i really like the idea of scavenge just because it will thin our decks so the claws come out more often and of course the extra energy could be a bonus as well. but if we play this, we're going to draw a sunder. we would much rather have sunder next turn. so i think you just do this. i think you don't even play ftl.
-
7:47
because we actually want to not draw so that sunder can go insane next turn. i should have drawn one more card, that's for sure. but that was actually the right play, i believe. quite a lot of damage. we don't need extra energy next turn because we only get to play one card. at least it's two cards. that one card was two cards, so we take no damage. great situation for us. if anything, you would double up on a claw.
-
8:37
and i think you're screwed, lad. lad, i think you are screwed. i was really hoping to get a sunder, but you're dead anyway. really? totally fine. i think this deck has got something, man. now you can have two echo forms. if anything, it just makes you get to one echo form faster. and then we're also kind of a power build, now that i think about it. sacrifice card rewards. i mean, these are, pale is one of the more fun ones when i remember to use pale's tears, but
-
9:19
extra energy from the third turn onwards. sacrifice. it feels to me like this is a sacrifice card rewards because we already have like almost everything we need. also drawing a card a little faster could do something. not these fellas again. let's sweep on them. probably goes without saying. some kind of block would go a long way.
-
9:59
the second floor, and this is in slay the spire 1 too, but it's crazy, but the second floor is where things get a little spicy. i don't think hologram is going to be the one that moves the needle on this. actually, like the ideal first turn that doesn't have echo form, this is the perfect turn for echo form. for echo form, i said, perfect time for echo form.
-
10:28
i think you save your orb because you might need to evoke it to help you do this much damage. now this is a horrible turn for echo form, but at least we did break your shield and lose both of our most important powers in the process. but what can you do man? what can you do? i can only use the tools that are available to me. they won't go, actually didn't go that badly all things considered. frost is an option, but
-
11:03
more potions? this is it. we have so many... we have so much gold. upgrade all card rewards if you took no damage. interesting. splash is really good. the concept of a double splash is mighty interesting. anointed also giving you your echo form. you don't really want them both, but even just putting one in your hand is good. but i do feel like we need to heal, so i feel like planisphere is very important.
-
11:38
and then i feel like a splash could really do a lot for us, man. now did this do anything from a defensive standpoint? it's free to play this turn. no it did not. oh, it can only be used if there's three or more cards in your exhaust pile. about that, man, about that. wait, two more skills gives us seven block. i really don't want to take 18 damage, but i think i have to get the tempo up on you. i have to be able to kill you next turn.
-
12:29
life's a sick joke, man. i'm dead. i'm dead. no, i'm not, because i played a skill, but i'm gonna die this turn. well, you can't play that. well, yes, you can. you have way more energy than you think you do. well, oste can't even work, man. we can't even play cards that are oste driven. so thanks for that.
-
12:57
at least we've lived, so that's positive. another charge battery is nice too. and then we heal and we enchant an echo form with some draw. and we heal and we choose a card to add to our deck. i have no idea what we would add here. i love the idea of bulk up but i don't know if we're ever gonna have the energy base to play it. we rest for certain.
-
13:39
wait, now tiny mailbox is looking a lot better for us. spoils map. and the gambling chip, oh my god, insane. and then we rest again. oh, you definitely take an entropic brew, lad. holy cow. okay, and now i feel like so much more confident in fighting an elite. we don't want to see any of this. maybe you want to see charge battery, but oh my god, still? still? start with the power.
-
14:13
first time you play a zero cost attack each turn return it to your hand. obviously good with claw. we're gonna want this. we probably should have put this on you earlier, but let's not let that distract us from putting it on now. and then draw first. didn't get echo form. this would take us outside of the energy that we would be able to play echo form with. still didn't get echo form.
-
14:46
48 damage or two strength two decks an interesting question start with a potion here nine plating changes the game for us man. i feel like we could definitely just get in there and do some damage asap okay, be nice to save some potions. of course, we have used like five potions on the fight so far it's not not necessarily awesome. you're gonna give me an attack. i
-
15:13
and a good one that attack has then allowed me to get the energy to play the echo form but i also got to hit you nicely which is great. i don't think you double up on the echo form man it's just like you shouldn't need it we should be able to get the fight done regardless and we do take ten off of this which is pretty bad and keep in mind like i don't really think that our deck has been like that good and we get two of them and
-
15:59
i don't think our deck has been that good. i think we've just had the fortune of like, um, of the fact that we got to use six potions here or whatever. so made it look a little bit better at the start of each combat add two zero cost cards from your draw pile into your hand. wait, that's awesome, man. that's ftl and claw. maybe we never upgrade zap seems crazy at least. and then we heal a little. oh, that's, it is healing a little bit still. we definitely want
-
16:39
splash, probably sweeping beam and maybe charge battery. so like everything. you have to play splash, man. die with 9. okay, that's big. you do 3 damage. 3 damage is not worth much at all. yeah, it seems impossible that i would do 15. you really, you can only, from any source, you can only lose 9. so we're not gonna throw a fire potion at you and have it do 9 damage. that's beneath us. similarly, well, you know what we could do.
-
17:22
get that out there. then this gives us a three energy refund. i would just rather not take any more damage than is necessary. we've been skating on this floor by a pure luck essentially. two of these need to hit you. my god, it freaking worked and now you're freaking dead man. and glacier, it's tough because i do wanna get a relic.
-
17:55
i do feel like if we can play glacier, it solves a lot of block issues for us. i'm gated into this mindset of like, but we're not a frost build, but like who cares man? four potion slots and petrified toads seems crazy. obviously miniature tent is nuts. probably cutting some crap we don't care about. and honestly, probably taking another splash? i feel like, i mean adding a master of strategy regardless of how expensive it is, and it is expensive, but
-
18:31
you play a power deal 8 damage to all enemies? at the cost of one curse, i think that's pretty solid, man. so we'll obviously upgrade. upgrade a splash. the trade off is we absolutely have to play at least one of our echo forms as soon as we get it. because otherwise it'll exhaust. we got it immediately. what do we not want? anything else. any other good card, we want to go to the bottom as fast as possible.
-
19:11
and actually getting a claw back, very nice to start the rotation. we would... i think we could draw one fewer, man. okay. seems that's not... we're not gonna be drawing one fewer for long, i'll tell you that much. looks like next turn we're gonna be drawing quite a lot. and if we're gonna be drawing so much, let's make sure we got some energy to back it up. also, w tuning fork on that one, that was a huge get. uh, okay. this is everything we've ever hoped and dreamed for. an echo form into an echo form, and then a glacier.
-
20:04
no, then a charge battery and an upgraded defend. and then i don't even know how many the first three cards. okay, so the first three cards are played twice. start here. i want a celestial might and a whirlwind and then take a flex potion. really, really good turn for us. first two cards are played twice. honestly, more than anything else. first three cards are played twice.
-
20:58
i thought i would have the energy to play scavenge. alright, well first two cards are played twice. at the end of your turn take seven damage. now we need to obviously ruin your life. one way to do that is via splash. splash in some good cards. severance is okay and just a ricochet. start with the ricochet, start with the claw. start with a charged battery then play a severance. you'll get two souls out of it. ricochet gets played for free. claw
-
21:33
still have one energy, soul it up, soul it up again. give me a charge battery off on that one. i know we haven't played master of strategy. it seems insane because it's a zero cost card that draws three cards, but it's just not the right play, man. this is 48 damage. we have to start there. and then you just like any attack basically finishes the job.
-
22:02
hey wait, and we didn't really use that much in the way of potions to get that done. that was... that was feeling a lot better, man. i mean i see modded, but i think these are all orb driven. i think we sacrifice. ornamental fan could help us, man. ethereal copy of the first attack you play every turn. draw two you can't draw during turn. we don't really... i mean it kind of screws master of strategy up, but we draw two extra every turn. but then an ethereal copy of the first attack...
-
22:40
as a copy which means like wouldn't if we created it from splash wouldn't it also cost zero like the the force multiplier on that is just insane so let me let me look at it first so splash and then it makes up for the damage pretty quick with a setup strike so let's try it yeah man yeah that's how it works that was awesome
-
23:22
i really could not have asked for anything better than that. we might as well, because we get a toad off of every fight. we might as well be using some potions. even if we lose a little max hp off of this one. i'm not worried too much about like two max hp down. that's easy enough. and we got a regen potion. okay, so like, if anything, it is somewhat tempting to just get like four toad potions at all times.
-
24:02
i'm literally just going to stick with this. play this because it creates one that costs zero, and then just play an echo form. and throw your rock potion. the rock potion is never going to get any better than that. create an ethereal copy of the first card you play every turn. i mean, we'll just acknowledge this turn kind of sucks for us. we should have used charge battery. i just genuinely forgot that we have echo form, which is pretty crazy because it's a pretty good card.
-
24:44
this gives us like one extra play. like the next card we play will get played twice anyway, yes. and i don't understand like totally how the math works out on that but i'm thankful that it does. now this is where things get insane. because you can crash landing. i do think that the first crash landing will fill our hand with debris. but then eradicate would get a kill. i really, for some reason i thought we were getting another crash landing off of that afterwards which doesn't make sense.
-
25:24
sacrifice get gorgay. okay, we don't need the regen pot. wow, you're gonna want it against the boss though. we don't need a fire. well, why would you get rid of a fire potion just to hold a toad potion man? that's uh, just gonna say it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. so we do have an echo form. but it's just it's so tempting to instead of playing an echo form, play a splash is done like over 100 damage to you. and then you just get you just kill him i guess that's
-
26:03
interesting, synthesis is tempting man. but i think we have to acknowledge we seem to have a pretty good thing working here. enchant a card that exhausts with souls power. i mean the only thing that really exhausts for us is master of strategy. at present we haven't really found good cause to play it, which is insane. i acknowledge fully its insanity but i think if anything we just go forgotten soul.
-
26:40
this is a more dangerous path than it appears, man. i think we gotta take the optional elite here. one day we will play master of strategy, the zero cost card that draws three. it will happen. you play the echo form. if nobody's attacking, you play echo form. because then you're gonna draw one of your splashes and then your splash gives you... we didn't draw a splash, but echo form will draw a splash. or do you just go straight into this and it gets a...
-
27:23
it gets a kill and then also gives you three energy back and also gives you another sunder. we literally have a splash right there, what are you talking about man? okay, actually totally fine. i don't think we would have played that any differently. strangely enough, it's actually better we played the sunder. the splash gave us some horrible choices but powell from beyond will be free and we can make it play twice which is incredible. crash landing we'd rather go second just because it fills our hand up.
-
28:01
dude, it's so strong. now is there any, we got a kabacko, my god, we got a kabacko. i feel like two decks might not be that valuable. like these are actually, you know what, powdered demise, it's better than a frog potion. but it would be the first one on the chopping block. we're not gonna use something just to use it. so we want to, if anything, we wanna make echo form free, probably a smart play. then you want to get,
-
28:46
what you want to do is put up some form of block and then get an upgraded splash. okay, regular splash is okay. and then get two really good attacks out of it. so i would think i can't play you because there's no oasty. i'm a fool, man. i'm a fool. i was so ready to play that and then get your artifacts wound down, but that's okay. the splash is really good, but this gives us more utility for sure in the long term at least. now what are we going to do here?
-
29:23
i mean the double bulk up, no the double bulk ups not to play. i would actually like scavenge, scavenge, sweep, sweep, claw, claw, yeah and then okay. i'm not too upset about this. blocking is gonna be an issue, maybe worth popping that dex potion. you know what, let's get, i mean let's pop the whole squad while we're here. we certainly want, we have eight energy. let's start with draw and then maybe just play,
-
30:04
a ton of defense. and then the next thing we play gets played twice as well. i think we might as well double up. it only gets played once, that's my bad, y'all. let's get this out there, that out there. i don't want a sweeping beam, a splash, because getting those splashes is really like, and it might have come to pass. knockout blow, we definitely want a doubled up bludgeon with a bludgeon attached. okay, okay. if you insist, man.
-
30:38
now i am feeling a little light on potions. i'm gonna dodge this elite. i just felt a little light. i know we're getting one of these. that's not necessarily that big of a deal. you know what? literally hold your whole hand. why? the only thing that matters is that we get splashes next turn to start the... because the splashes are the wombo combo. you just saw it yourself. we drew into one. obviously we could play in echo form, but splash, i mean a double knockout blow.
-
31:14
is crazy. that's like 80 damage. and then, still great block regardless. and then our other splash, this time it does go off twice. not a great selection of cards there. we're drawing like a son of a gun. another splash. this one's a lot better. and then maybe scavenge and give yourself some energy for the next turn. i'm a believer that this one might stand a chance. splash.
-
32:00
four cards in our exhaust pile, huh? we just have to keep you weak. as painful as it is. we need to double up on the free card. don't even need to use the frog potion. that was really nice. if you have 10 block, deal 6 damage to a random enemy. love to go here. and then three strength, three decks. there's something to say about it. oh, the other splash, man. the other splash. decks and speed.
-
32:52
shop would be nice. maybe we're never gonna fight that elite. we're gonna get too much cowardice by the time we get up there, but sure man, let's divine. two divinations remain. honestly, toss one just so we don't accidentally get a curse. gigantification potion is crazy. bag of marbles, acabeko, crazy. really good for aoe, but i think we're feeling the sacrifice, man. a shop, holy cow.
-
33:36
another, dude, i think another splash is the play. and then do we really just wanna raise max hp by seven? i feel like that definitely beats removing a curse. i mean, it's only seven max hp and we don't need the heal at all, but still. okay, so if we're, realistically speaking, we're probably gonna beat this guy. if that is the case, as we so hotly expect that it is, i'm just trying to see if we get an echo form or something, then,
-
34:15
taking the card gives you the card, skipping the card gives you a relic. so it's basically a card or relic type situation. you should know that going into it bro. you should know it's a serious decision. we don't care about a speed potion at all. so doubling up on this seems like a huge win for me. wouldn't mind playing that but uh...
-
34:37
cards for us, that's okay. ironically enough, i suppose, given what kind of game it is. you're doing no damage this turn. this is where we wanna see some stuff that would make you feel real bad. we wanna see some splashes, if possible. a splash. squeeze doesn't work. we have not, it will do damage, but we haven't created that many cards yet. i think you might be better off with a pillage. and then hegemony is just damage.
-
35:20
taking a little bit of damage not that bad because we have to rest anyway with tent. fight me. ashen strike? or do we just go for fear? surely we need fear, right? we want two of these even though the order looks scuffed. literally not even taking enough damage to care because the lightning kills you anyway. every time you play three attacks deal six damage to a random enemy. okay, well we've made it.
-
36:10
we've made it. let's upgrade that last splash. what a great card. block potion. and then let's see, we got test subject and the queen. test subject loves it when you play skills. we'll make it our life's mission not to play skills against the test subject. early, this is actually like kind of a dream turn. you go echo form, block potion. don't think about it too hard. now we'd really like to play our other echo form.
-
36:52
but i could so easily just kill you with a splash, but then i'll never get to play another echo form, man. i think you gotta play this. i'm just thinking about how the future of this fight looks. i think we don't beat you unless we play both echo forms. because then you get the splash, you pick a card, you pick another card. i don't know what we're gonna take here, i kinda hate them all. sure, man, take it. but then this also gets played twice. and then this would get played twice again.
-
37:33
we're cooking up stars, man. i guess here we'll just pass our turn. not really much to play, but... could have played skills to get tuning fork working, but a splash please? a splash, okay. so then whatever you get, deal 7 damage to all enemies 7 times. fight me, deal 6 damage twice, gain 4 strength, the enemy gains 1 strength. i mean, i would prefer if the enemy didn't gain 1 strength, but you see what we're working with here.
-
38:03
this going off twice is pretty important. is this just where you pop your gigantification potion? or do you use the... because i understand you would be like, use this first. but the problem with using this first is that i only get one of these. whereas if i've used this first and then this, i get two of them. but that would do 49 damage. i have to do the math. 49 damage takes you to 160, 148, and then we would do 11 damage seven times.
-
38:33
is not even close to enough to kill you. but obviously with a potion we can kill you, the real question is just whether we wouldn't be better served using the potion on the queen fight instead. but you gotta live to get to the queen fight, i guess. so let's... it would be nice to be up against the door maker is what i'm trying to say. wait, wait, wait. is our next card played twice as well? because if so, i had overthought it. we have played... we played splash, which is one.
-
39:10
and then seven stars, which is one. and then seven stars again, which is three. so it should go twice. so we don't need to use the potion at all. and we gain strength off of this. and we get energy next turn. and we get closer to tuning fork. okay. well, maybe we do need to use this against this guy. we don't need to use it on phase two, i should say. big blocks. we play nothing. we don't want to draw into our splashes, man. the splashes are the only thing that matters. and there it was.
-
39:51
thrash? thrash seems insane here. and the thunderclap... okay, so that was... we played one card. the thing is, we wanna... if we play thunderclap, it will make you vulnerable. and then thrash will do 10 damage twice, and then swallow you and do 52 damage twice. but then we will essentially die.
-
40:27
because we will have no block. we'll have like 3 hp and i don't think it kills you. you'll take 11 and then you'll take 16. so you'll take 27 damage and then you'll take 30. so 57 damage and then then is the big one. 52. then you'll take
-
40:54
78 twice. it's an awful lot of damage. the thing is, i know you're saying, this is where you use the gigantic potion. problem is we can't put the gigantic potion in between the two thrashes going off. so i think this does not kill you. and unfortunately though it looks insane. as a result of that, we have to slow play it and get glaciers out there with a little bit of block. then you play thrash, because no matter what it hits,
-
41:26
you get another one and then you thrash again. it turns out maybe we could have killed you and maybe i did the math drastically wrong but i think, holy cow, given the circumstances i think you can forgive me. i hope. i'm going to be exhausted just because it's not going to make it around for one more turn. we might as well just hopefully draw like a splash here
-
41:58
yeah, okay, i mean we're asunder, asunder will finish the job too. we're going to the next fight a little light on hp but with three potions. if we have a lot of damage, you kill the queen first, but i don't think we have a lot of damage. we need our echo forms. didn't get it, got it. at least, and then this is, i'm saying this for me, but at least we have plating, man. might as well pop that early. okay, so now we have to take no damage for the rest of the fight. that's gonna be tricky.
-
42:48
so normally i would say you have to play your echo form, but we literally can't because we have to play splash. also to live we have to double up on charge battery. very interesting, it's a tangled web we weave, it's a tangled web we weave. prioritize not dying first and then you know what? okay. misery applying that debuff to you and then you then applying it to you is kind of insane.
-
43:27
and then hopefully drawing misery again as soon as i didn't even think about this man. you absolutely have to play charge battery and then we need like, we need a splash. simple as lad, because we need to be able to kill you asunder will not do it. only like a splash will do okay, i think i think we've definitely died. you know what asunder might have no i still don't even with a gigantic vacation potion. i don't think asunder would have done it man. really really close though i mean,
-
44:12
this was a run, a lot of people out there watching could pull off a win on this run, let's put it that way. we just happened to, we made a flub somewhere. maybe related to potion juggling. i think if we'd brought a regen potion in we might have been a little bit happier. but still, a fun run regardless. i hope you've enjoyed it. if you did click the like button. it helps out a great deal. subscribe if you want to see more in the future and i'll see you next time. later!
