gamers we're back. um, i mean it's crazy to me my record is so bad maybe with everybody but especially with the silent when the silent is like the consensus number one easiest character in the game. maybe it's time to finally lock in maybe it's time to stop pretending to be bad and reveal the beast within which i saw telltale just announced they're bringing it back good for them. i didn't even know they were still around i thought
-
0:30
i thought something happened to them. i guess i haven't seen the last season finale yet. either way, what am i talking about? i'm talking about the sludge spinner, bro. he's freaking dead. i do think noxious can go crazy. i think if that's your first card reward, it's really hard not to take it. now, do we have a shop? green's eternal now that i think about it.
-
1:00
you know what? but if we do the greed here, we would only be able to fight three elites instead of four. i think i could be persuaded. i think i could be persuaded to do that. and then you might call me crazy on this one. the draw is obviously almost always the best option. but a survivor that blocks for 10 right out of the box strikes me as something that might be more prudent
-
1:30
when we're trying to play a defensive deck that maybe gives noxious time to pop. i could be wrong by the way, but it just saved us one energy on the first turn, which is the sort of strat i'm looking for. the vampire less strat, man. i actually feel pretty strongly that this deck might already be kind of good.
-
1:57
obviously we want you to die to poison and stall you for a turn. and then this block is just in case i was wrong about turn order. and then you're basically dead already. sure man. actually, you know what? a dagger spray probably would have gone crazier there. we are going to need some attacks. the other thing i'll say about noxious is that it's going to be awesome at burning through artifacts.
-
2:26
which are top of mind right now because when we played slay the spire multiplayer we easily breezed through like all of our runs except for the run in which we encountered
-
2:37
the enemies that, because of the way multiplayer scales, had like... 12 artifact each and all of our builds were predicated upon applying vulnerable to the enemies. so like that one was a real kick in the teeth. i'm not gonna lie to you. by the way, can i get a w potion usage? that was some slick potion usage and look at that. rewarded post haste, man. piercing whale's pretty nice. nice to have one at least. let's buff the noxious first.
-
3:08
footwork is like necessary. i do feel like equilibrium fits with what we're trying to do. i don't think we need deadly poison yet. at the common level, we could probably get it later. and then we have enough to either like we don't need acabeko. venerable tea set is really good. and i don't really think you get the same value out of like duplicating a noxious. there's nothing else i really would want to duplicate, i think. so give me venerable tea set and then cut a basic strike.
-
3:44
and then our i don't know if we're ready to fight elites, man. i don't what are we on anyway? we're on the under docks, so i think we are a little stronger aoe wise, so let's give it a try. this ain't an aoe boss, but that's okay.
-
4:06
extra energy after the rest side was huge. by the way, we should be using the rest because we got stone humidifier, but alas. wait, this is awesome. and then eventually we can just block because he'll have so much poison that we might as well play that. we're not punching through this anyway. that they'll be taking their damage cap every turn and poison anyway. 13, 20. honestly, keep the piercing whale in here. we might need it on a future turn.
-
4:39
wait, this is... i thought that this would suck against this elite and it's actually destroying him. it's ruining his life. we only have to make it two more turns. this is a serious like, how do you like this situation? because normally this guy's a pain in the butt, man. but what just... that was nonchalant. i would happily take another footwork. holy cow. these guys might get away with our money.
-
5:15
i don't think they will do very much damage to me necessarily, but they may well get away with my money. but what else are you gonna do? i can definitely just wait you out until you get poisoned to death. but then when you die, the constituents that make you up are not going to have poison. so i'm pretty sure you're just gonna take all our money and run. how much, you stole 20 gold? no, how much have you stolen? don't lie to me, walt.
-
5:58
so hear me out, i have one possible game plan. and that's stall them on this turn, retaining your hand, kill them on the next turn so we at least have one extra turn to sneak in attacks. like we don't retain our cards here, but i can kill you, at least hit you with a little bit so that you might be in killing range next time. holy cow, wait, the man is non stop!
-
6:32
and we got our gold back. escape plan is like a given. mirage, you could see mirage being great, don't get me wrong, but i'm happy to be fighting some other enemies, man. we need to get our powers out there. run is pretty much determined by what turn we play our powers on. that will determine how badly things are gonna suck. and the answer is honestly not that bad, although noxious is taking his sweet time, don't get me wrong. but this is big.
-
7:12
great draw play the noxious taking no damage. i'm pretty sure the terror heal is cooked man now i see why people are chanting defense at all the sporting events i get it now now let's and it's a luxury by the way to be able to think so far ahead what screws us up the dune boss on the next floor if we if we run into the sandworm? we have to have like a kill shot that maybe like a
-
7:43
exponentially increments the poison or at least like multiplies it by two or three but that's a card from slay the spire 1. i don't think that card is in slay the spire 2, man. i think we're lucky as well that we're not against the deer boss because the deer boss making it so we could only play one skill per turn would kind of suck.
-
8:09
i mean taking one damage when he's doing 36 is such a good sign for us. like everything's going amazing here man. one day i'll play piercing wail one day okay? i put it in the deck for a reason. kunai, i don't think kunai is gonna help us too much but certainly a shadow meld seems like a crazy rare to get there. double footwork turn one's feeling pretty nice.
-
8:36
oh, this guy screws us. because you can only play one skill per turn. but if you can only play one skill per turn, what if that one skill was two blocks? then you wouldn't be feeling so bad about things. let's make sure you die. let's make sure you do no damage. let's attack you. we still haven't played a skill and we got more decks. oh, it's a beautiful thing. very beautiful thing. certainly we just want to play dodge and roll and move on with our lives here.
-
9:08
attack you. i don't know man, see what you get. i don't know if there's any point to that at all, but you get equilibrium is really nice we could do lots of attacks next turn i can't help but notice like defense is certainly solving a lot of problems for us man like i keep walking into enemies and saying like oh this is the one that kills us because like we have no offense and then they just die to our poison i certainly think a well laid plans could do something for us
-
9:47
a footwork? 14, you're doing 15 damage. i'll wait on the well laid plans. listen, i think it's a nice to have right now, not an essential. we've been doing okay without it for now. 15 damage, you're doing 18. i don't think we need a shadow mel. all we need is noxious fumes. it's the heaviest card in the deck. it's footwork noxious. you don't need to know how much damage they're doing. you just play the cards that win for you and then the rest falls into place.
-
10:23
greatest piercing wail of all time, obviously. and then damage the one that's the most annoying and the other one that's the most annoying. without a doubt this has been the best silent run i think we've had. it's kind of like the most boring if you think that it's not fun to not play a bunch of attacks with discards, which is honestly fair. like that's a really fun way to play the game. i can't disagree with you on that. might as well.
-
10:57
but it doesn't matter because we're chunking them up. the only thing that sucks is that this is one where i'm like, i did not need to take stone humidifier, man. but there's a value in just having upgraded cards too. when did i take a bunch of damage? that doesn't sound like me. not bad. i still don't think any of them matter. i will rest. give me the max hp. we've upgraded most of our good stuff anyway. while laid plans, it would be nice to upgrade, to be fair.
-
11:35
beautiful, beautiful. we have so much energy, which sucks because we have nothing to do with it. but two powers out there early is nice. now we'd love to see a noxious as soon as possible, but it is what it is. i still think there's no way you kill me. the beckons are going to be crazy annoying, i guess, but land some damage. you're going to want to land some damage at some point. so we have one more dex coming next turn, a footwork, i should say.
-
12:08
i think you play your beckons, always store in equilibrium, but you don't necessarily need to play it. it's powerful just to have it. and if there's a rare that could like enable our poison build to come to pass here, let me know man. i know there's somewhere like poison triggers twice, but in a way that sort of makes it trigger twice as fast, which i'm not totally sure is
-
12:41
that's what i'm looking for. crazy get, man! double that block allows you to play two beckons and then you store in equilibrium. wait, i got shadowmeld does not double your block. shadowmeld doubles your block gain this turn. okay, see i... some information that would have been useful yesterday! the wedding... i was gonna say the wedding crashers and i was going to appear a fool. that's the wedding singer, adam sandler.
-
13:14
best turn of my life. i am worried about a turn that's just like five beckons, which is why i'm really happy to have like an extra block in hand and then let the poison do its work. like i mean, i can't complain. everything's going really well right now. we're only a few turns away from you dying. you will be intangible probably the turn after this one. three beckons not even a problem, man. this turn is a problem. no, it's not, man. it's not a problem in the slightest.
-
13:51
it's so good. it's so good. it's so good. and then we play two of these in a strike and hold the equilibrium and all we need is something that makes the poison go a little bit better. and then it's, we've got something, maybe a little bit more energy would be nice too. i do also feel like abrasive could be big for us. the thing is though, accelerant, poison is triggered one additional time. the problem is that like,
-
14:24
so you'll put three poison on and then it'll go toon toon and it'll be one poison. i'm literally, this is so embarrassing, but i'm typing is accelerant good with noxious fumes? let's see what reddit has to say about it, man. r slash slay the spire, accelerant makes noxious fumes worse. top comment, i'm pretty sure this is only an issue of fumes are your main source of poison. yes.
-
14:59
amazing post. this is true with just these two, but a third source of poison will make it quickly outscale. i have to think. three months ago. thought it would be great to have in a poison deck, but it's bad with noxious fumes. okay, well in that case, i think we take abrasive and we just keep our defense rolling. tezcatara's ember making strikes free.
-
15:35
i honestly think that's totally fine. yes, we can't remove them. in a perfect world, we would remove them, but being able to play some attacks for free is kind of nice. and i genuinely do think we want to take an elite heavy approach, man. and the left is a very elite heavy approach. good start. i can't get to 12 blocks. so what i'm going to do is play a potion that allows me to get out noxious. and then you guys are pretty much over. for the cost of a potion, i'm pretty sure you're pretty much done.
-
16:12
and then let's start to work on you, fella. we have not played a well laid plans. actually, you know what? i'm really glad i took the free strikes because it's also gonna go nutty. screw it, bro. i'll use both potions. not even that good to have used the second potion, to be honest. but i'm pretty sure it's gonna go nutty because of kunai. so we're gonna get so much more decks than otherwise would have been possible.
-
16:48
using two potions to get through a random hallway fight sucks pretty bad, but you know what? the stun is done. i don't think we need to deflect. a calculated gamble is just so nice just to possibly get to the powers that make your deck tick a little bit faster. and you know what? don't we have a shop like right away? it's a high powered shop now.
-
17:19
what do you got for me? strikes and defends gain ethereal. i mean, i bet we could have them be ethereal and eternal. i don't know what would take precedent, but first time you play a card that debuffs an enemy double its effect. i feel like what that'll do is make noxious apply six poison on the first poison that it applies, which honestly might not even be bad. but now removal, i think sucks. there's nothing we really want to remove. so i think we're we're ok with
-
17:54
can we get both? no, that'd be like 430. oh, 435! that's well within the range for us, man. and then this is a little bit of a prayer, but even hitting two defense i don't think is that bad, considering what our build is. we're gonna be resting a lot anyway, probably. i do like this though. i do like this, i have to be honest. because i don't want to be incentivized to add too many cards. i've probably added most of the cards i'm going to add.
-
18:30
bing bong to add two copies or whenever you play an attack gain a block. i mean, i think whenever you play an attack gain a block is not great for us, but it is what it is, man. we're gonna heal anyway. might as well go in deep on this one. would you rather have 135 gold or the paulinus core? right now we would rather have the paulinus core for sure. and then we heal off this. how good is an upgrade for us? i do feel like we have lots of good upgrade targets, even though we have stone humidifier.
-
19:09
footwork seems like low risk medium reward. i'll take that huge. i don't know why i go in on you first, but just feels right and sucks. we couldn't get kunai going but would suck worse if we couldn't get noxious going. i think as much as this is really good for us, i think.
-
19:39
getting abrasive out there and accepting we're probably gonna take some damage but this is a great way for us to deal a lot of damage to an enemy that can otherwise be a little annoying is probably the this is the way if i had to guess. a footwork? i mean a footwork? how would we feel after an equilibrium? we'd have 20. 20 is actually not a lot in the whole scheme of things. whereas piercing whale means we're only taking 9 which puts us in a great position to play a noxious. not a no, yeah 9, 9, 9, okay.
-
20:15
and also we're still doing damage via thorns to the enemies that are doing zero, which is really nice. escape plan? huge. two attacks. might be a different kind of beast because i think i'll probably just play my cards. so we lost some hp in the process here, but i think this was the optimal order to play the cards considering how we drew them. i believe that to be true. 21. you're going to be doing 29. certainly not a problem for us.
-
20:59
i feel like we really just want to draw like equilibrium again if possible which is exactly how that went down and then we also get extra decks out of it holy 51 block with three energy is a it's a pretty good turn now at some point it may be sensible for us to uh to have some more attacks because i don't know if you're if you're seeing the same thing that i'm seeing but it does appear that it's going to be
-
21:37
difficult for us to kill all three enemies in the same turn. we actually, we should be attacking the one with the most hp at all times. not the one with the least to get them killed. we should be attacking the one with the most hp and then hoping that they all get into lethal range on poison around the same time. well honestly, like the longer this fight goes on, i don't really think it's bad for us because we're gaining more decks over time. or do you, the other thing we could do is actually just kill you
-
22:15
gain decks and then the the hope that i would have then is that i don't know what my hope is we might be here for a minute please tell me there's a way that i could somehow have all of you die this turn i don't think it's gonna be the case man well it to thorns your one awaited from dying to thorns, which means if we could just go in on you you would probably be cooked but we we can't kill you cuz you're good. then you're gonna i can't kill them
-
22:52
there has to be a way to solve this puzzle. they can't be doing this to me. i'll tell you, all three being alive is actually what we want to see, i think. like, i almost wonder if the play isn't, and it sounds crazy, what if we were to just block so that all three could be alive and accruing poison at the same time? that way they die with some synchronicity
-
23:31
or at least it's easier to kill them with some synchronicity. so you'll come back next turn, you're both going to die this turn. any chance i can get three strikes and go in? okay, this, if it could ever be done, this has to be the time when it could be done, right? come on, come on. i can't freaking do it, man. i can't freaking do it. i can't kill them. i can't kill them. my deck's literally so good that i can't kill them.
-
24:18
never thought i'd see the day. so now i'm trying to have them all accrue poison at the same time. the problem is some of them attack twice. and when they attack twice, it's bad for us because they deprecate their hp faster than any other enemy. okay, i think this is the closest we've gotten. if we draw strikes on this turn, oh my god, i think we did it. we needed all three to be alive and then have a good turn for strikes. i really just don't think we need any of those to be honest with you.
-
24:52
the heal took us to 51. let's take the opportunity to farm some max hp. crazy first turn, holy cow. certainly we weaken for energy. i like the idea of playing this and then hold... because we retained our hand, holding abrasive for a survivor, which has not come around. which sucks, but there's things we can do about this. first gain some energy. shadowmeld obviously goes crazy here, but then dump your hand.
-
25:36
which of course, of course that plays it man. okay, well that's awesome then. okay, eight decks up is obviously great. we still obviously be great to have a way to kill enemies a little bit faster. but the poison will do its trick and because our turns are so easy to play, it's not like it takes forever for the turns to kind of like manifest. it's pretty obvious what to play most of the time, i think at least.
-
26:18
136 block, not too shabby. keep in mind, i probably don't need to tell you, it's an elite fellow right here. this ain't your standard fellow, this is an elite fellow. hold. 34 damage. i'll say it, i missed the part where that's my problem.
-
26:50
keep survivor. i mean right now, oh i didn't even look but we're not fighting the dune worm which is nice. if only so that i didn't have to deal with people going like oh my god he hasn't noticed he's fighting the dune worm yet which would be true but also make me feel bad. strike dummy is a little bit of offense here that's actually kind of nice. i think everything else does not work for us at all. zero damage against an elite is a great sign. huge. it's kind of
-
27:24
it's kind of awesome how well things are going even when we don't draw our powers early. you can't resist this mr. powers. au contraire baby. the other thing we could start doing and i'm not going to do it right now but the other thing we could start doing is preserving a strike as crazy as it seems. but preserving a strike
-
27:54
that way makes it more likely to get kunai to pop on the next turn. but it can only really work for us in certain circumstances, i think. what is the shadowmeld upgrade, man? zero cost? it's pretty nice. i'm not gonna sit here and be like, i don't think we need that. that does sound pretty good. guys, what are you doing? it's kind of embarrassing. also, the shadowmeld should be played before dodge and roll, but like it's...
-
28:33
it's a testament to the quality of the run so far that we definitely do not have to worry about that. like everything's going just fine right now. just nothing here, nothing here is really huge for us. leg sweep kind of but we don't have the energy base for it and we have no problem getting block anyway. hey you as a fellow what are we looking at here? i almost want to play abrasive just because you're gonna take so much damage to thorns. if only we had one more energy.
-
29:14
i think you just play the exact same way you've played this whole time. you did lower your strength by 12, which is crazy. i'm not gonna hit you. play for dex on this one, man. we can make it happen. another footwork. i really don't think there's a good reason to weaken him. we gotta wait for the thorns to come back around, obviously. you know what? draw... okay, we need noxious, so that's really nice.
-
29:47
hold the survivor. it's gonna be real hard for this guy to do damage to us, but the survivor allows us to discard the thorns, which is exactly how this is gonna go down. huge. okay. the dodge and roll's looking pretty swag. i still just don't see a good reason to hit you when you're gonna do like eight attacks and take 50 damage from thorns.
-
30:23
it just doesn't strike me as a good use of my resources to fill up my deck with a bunch of daises when you're gonna basically blow yourself up. like we don't even need to weaken you. this one's also just a huge win for us in the sense that we trusted ourselves. we trusted the deck that's gotten us to this point and we've been rewarded. i mean, we're taking no damage on elites. is that sunk into everybody yet? seven times eight, what's that? 56, we're okay.
-
31:07
yeah, we're chilling. i was looking over here to a big whiteboard that had the times tables on it. huge fight. okay, bronze scales is amazing for us. bronze scales is incredible. it's hard for me to imagine that another noxious doesn't just make life that much easier for us. we're already full hp. even with the quality of the upgrades, i don't think you can afford not to upgrade, man.
-
31:40
these guys are definitely holding two cards is also mighty nice. two extra thorns is mighty nice, zero cost double your block kind of crazy. i'm going to take the well laid plans first again, it just seems like the smoothest upgrade for me. here's what i like about it man. taking no damage, still being able to hold an abrasive until you get either calculated gamble or survivor. and we got survivor.
-
32:25
play that, survivor, dump that. already sitting on 32 block, which is very nice. save the strike to use on a turn so you can farm decks with it. wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. we don't have three attacks. okay, we still don't have three attacks, but that's fine. wait, this is... i'm cooking on levels heretofore never seen. because you save all your cards, all you need is one attack on the next turn. you want to weaken this guy anyway.
-
32:55
weaken him. play your two strikes. now we've used our strikes to get decks, which seems awesome. you're doing 28 damage. obviously we snooze on 28 damage. that's nothing to a beast like us. and we store a strike to farm more decks! and meanwhile the poison is just doing what it does, man. 25? i mean we can store two cards. at some point you probably want to store a block.
-
33:26
you know what? you play the equilibrium just to retain all of your cards. scammed. you're guaranteed to draw enough attacks, but you're not guaranteed. in fact, i think there's no way you get enough. you got to do something with this though. hear me out. two of these, it's not like we're not going to draw blocks. like all we have are blocks. we can store two up.
-
34:04
then do me a favor and store tua to keep the decks rolling. i really feel like now we're thinking intelligently for once in this game because we're thinking about our strikes as engines for generating endless amounts of decks instead of thinking of them as like, oh, six damage is nice. now that we have kunai, like we're operating on a level that i'd never thought i'd seen myself operate on before.
-
34:32
and it feels pretty darn good, i'm not gonna lie to you. now you're gonna do a lot of damage next turn, but in the meantime we've taken no damage and look at their hp bro. look at their freaking hp. and if i may, we're still taking zero. which seems nuts, but we are 10 decks up.
-
34:52
now, i will say one thing. this is making me consider that possibly even one cheap shiv card added into this ecosystem. i should have kept the strike by just misclick to be honest with you. one cheap shiv card could really, really amp up our defense. but that was an amazing fight.
-
35:19
i mean fan of knives just gives us four shivs once, but two inky shivs whipping around. oh my god it's in decks every time we play it, i can't not. and i mean, venom could be awesome too, don't get me wrong. all potion slots within all card rewards are glam. we really don't need, i don't really want that many more cards.
-
35:45
i don't really need enemies to have one hp, i think. i think we want to take delicate frond and then honestly, i want to fight as many elites as possible. i like this three elite path here. so i'll deal with the 40 damage right out of the gates. that seems okay. i'm content with those. we weaken you. you're doing 21? well, that sucks.
-
36:23
we're only, it's nice that we have gorgias actually, that was pretty good. and then, wait this is awesome, extra decks, taking zero. even though i think we drew things in a bit of a scuffed order here, this was still really good for us man. that's a great sign. let's store our whole hand. it's crazy we took more damage against these guys than we took against the elites. sorry, against the boss, but it's true. it's true sire.
-
36:57
up my sleeve does become crazy if we can keep it whipping around. the amount of decks we could get out of that is nuts. i'll level with you, man. i think 98 gold for three divinations is like a pretty good price right now. we don't really care about potions. more money is alright, i guess, but... regen potion, do not care. duplicator, maybe care. remember that it has to be good enough to beat out a random potion. not necessarily a hard task, but...
-
37:33
it's not nothing, is what i'm trying to say. it's a long run. i actually, i got time blindness on this run. i'm trying to make sure that i'm not gonna be late to pick my kid up from school, obviously, but we still have plenty of time, which is good. we're gonna take damage on this turn. very rare to, well, yeah, we're gonna take a little, but very rare to draw zero block, but i guess i have added a few offensive cards, so it's the way of the world, man. let's...
-
38:08
you don't need to be playing up my sleeve against a fella such as this. that's just not necessary. he will die the old fashioned way to thorns and poison. now if we get the chance, i'm not going to say that it wouldn't be nice. it'd have to be the perfect scenario. i can gain two decks off of it, but i also need to not take damage. so i think i'm just going to hold this. and then you probably die next turn or wish you were dead at least.
-
38:48
confirmed? confirmed? he wishes he's dead? everything's going really well. it's kind of funny that it feels like it's not going that well because i've taken any damage. i forgot we healed on shops. that's incredible. i guess we could get to the point where we're... is there anything we don't play? i don't think so. we also didn't play any potions, man. like, what are we doing here? i think you take nothing, but thanks for the heal. so long and thanks for all the fish.
-
39:22
these are two i don't mind tossing in right away. i think we do this. that gives us a dex and also a lot of block. and then you have to play that, and then this must mean we're taking zero damage. and i was just going to say, you hit for multiples, so you're actually screwed. we can afford to play noxious, because we have the plating anyway. shadowmeld into a good dodge and roll seems okay. i mean, i feel like this run feels like it's long.
-
40:08
well, this blows. because i do no attack damage. so every fight is kind of like long, but it's also it's fun. like every fight is kind of a puzzle, man. also, i think i've been too lazy with the with the puzzling. the second i've received a text message at my age. shouldn't joke about it in case it ends up in the clip. but at my age, the text messages you it could be how are things going or it could be

40:43
please hurry, we need help. so as soon as we finish this fight, i will pause for just a second and check that out. and by the way, not all of the we need help texts are created equal. some of them are like, you need to be here right now. and some of them are like, we forgot how to turn on the tv remote appropriately. we forgot which ones for the digital cable and which ones for the tv itself, which i, there before the grace of god go i, i'll be there one day too. i only ask that you do me the service of not making fun of me.
-
41:19
i can make fun of other people for it, but you better not make fun of me for it. okay, i'll be right back. everything was fine and the tv's safe. what do we got here? one single enemy that hits kinda hard. i think this is a calculated gamble type situation. as much as i'd like to play up my sleeve, and i'm cognizant,
-
41:46
of the fact that we took it and have like basically never played it. it's just tough, man. actually, not adrenaline, what's madness? i don't even know if madness exists in slay the spire 2, but it is a card that costs one, but makes another card in your hand cost zero for the rest of combat. would actually be incredible right now. by the way, we got it out there during the whole rigamarole of the conversation. we got it out there, which was nice.
-
42:15
crazy play there. umm... 16 and then this we get 24 26 we take 2 damage. 2 damage. i feel like you wanna use a blade of ink. a blade of ink will take 12 damage off by itself. and give 1 block per which is nice. 22 you're doing 28. i still wouldn't... you know what? we should. we actually should.
-
42:51
there will probably never be a better time to use a potion knowing that we're gonna get more potions. you need your footworks out there long term. please draw... start here. please draw a skill. lovely. and then this is like pretty good. store these two. still, like even though we're taking hits every turn, the hits are not that bad. we probably do want a noxious for sure, but
-
43:30
the weakness is crazy. you're doing 14 damage? well, you're freaking screwed then, lad. it's over for you. get a noctis out there, save a shiv to trigger some dex gain on the next turn, if possible. if not possible, that's fine. you're doing 28 damage. 28 damage is literally a joke to me. me and my friends are all laughing at you in the group chat right now saying, so 16 damage. might have been 26, i can't remember. and we're doing the same freaking strat.
-
44:02
every basic block is blocking for 21, at least every upgraded block. and this was not a bad fight, man. keep in mind, you know what i'm gonna say, the fella's elite! pretty good considering the fella's elite. every three times you apply poison deal 11 to all enemies, we don't need any help on hallway fights. we need something that would go to the next level on the boss fight.
-
44:29
i think we're at the point where like being able to play shadowmeld is really helpful. we're also at the point where like just getting a pantograph would would really hit the spot. alright, this kind of sucks. you need to play at least one noxious. i actually feel like the right play is an up my sleeve. get enough block, make up my sleeve cheaper for the next one, gain some decks off of it. on this one, i mean this is calculated gamble by a mile.
-
45:11
then we can start stacking some poison on you. we don't retain any cards, unfortunately, but just in case. draw something that discards. ooh. we don't retain? honestly, i think you just play it outright. i'm realizing we're gonna have to put a pause in this one, because this defensive run is taking so much longer than i would have thought. but we're okay for now, okay? you don't have to worry. let me worry. we'd still take none against the elite. very huge card.
-
45:46
probably a well laid plans. honestly, play this so we don't take damage to burns and then we feel okay playing the noxious. didn't get to trigger kuna on the next turn automatically but still, big escape plan, huge escape plan to cut the lead. don't even need to discard a burn honestly, i'd rather just keep a survivor in hand. 50, 50 is not, is that supposed to be like a lot of damage? cuz like to me it looked like a very minor amount of damage. that was no big deal man.
-
46:32
shouldn't have played this one. we should have kept two, but you know what? while we're here, i'll hit you again. you probably don't die next turn, but you don't even attack this turn. so who cares? oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. three, four, five, six, four shivs. one, two, three. save one shiv and a piercing lail. you could die this turn. you're not going to die this turn.
-
47:06
but you're also gonna do like, you're gonna do two damage and then you're gonna die. very acceptable price to be paid. we're fine, we're fine on time. i completely feel like another footwork is a okay, man. we get a free upgrade out of it essentially. three inky shives is a big upgrade because that basically means this is worth one dex by itself. crazy first turn because we get to discard an abrasive, play a noxious. honestly, just get in there, man.
-
47:48
really good start like we played our best cards at the start it's what you want to see and you guys are doing a lot of damage a lot of damage i think i'm gonna go we already have a little block you're doing what 31 damage this would take us to 21 with another i think we want to see more foot works with no foot works. actually, that's crazy. that's awesome probably the greatest piercing whale we ever could have asked for you're doing 23 damage while the turn
-
48:26
plays itself, we do take a little hit but i mean they're taking 27 damage off of hitting me three times. i think like i'd rather be us than them, let's put it that way. two inky shivs, literally completely fine. we don't need the foot works, these guys are dead bro. they're already deceased probably, in a matter of speaking. we may not be late by the way, we're not gonna be laid but we may not have to put a pause in is what i'm trying to say. but it will be close.
-
49:07
wait, vambrace is grade two. i think a blade dance once. no, no, no, no. we got a tight deck right now. all we need to do is exercise some patience. lose 15 hp, upgrade two cards, okay? and then we're probably full hp anyway. we really should rest and go to 90, i think. okay, now this is the test subject again. if you were the door maker, i think it's fair to say this fight's already over. use a power.
-
49:39
i mean starting with four shivs is something. poison triggering more often, i think it's better with two noxious fumes, which we will have out at some point. we really want to kill you super quick. four shivs, that's mostly just decks man. i don't know, i don't know, i don't know, i don't know. i don't have a good answer for you. this is also, maybe the thing we should be thinking about is that that's literally just block. this is 32 block, holy cow. we do want three inky shivs.
-
50:23
we just play an up my sleeve tank some damage and get more shivs out there. i mean, this is four. that's 34. you know what i like about this though? it seems like a crazy play. first off, i think we take one damage. so it's... well, no, because we played a skill. we take four damage, but we keep vambrace. vambrace may well prove to be much more important on this turn, which i don't think it did. but if you could see a situation in which if we had done enough damage to kill you, it would have made a difference. that's all i'm trying to say.
-
50:53
okay, so maybe it didn't come to pass that way, but it could have easily come to pass that way. okay, the fella's cooked. wonderful news. yeah, i should have played the equilibrium so we could have held the neutralize. but this is really, really good, man. this is really, really good. give me a shadow meld. you're never going to get a better piercing wail. no, we need to draw powers. huge. it's literally just exactly what we wanted to see and then you can hold both of these. okay, the test subject is cooked. he's done.
-
51:32
i don't think there's really anything that they could do in order to not perish here. so the question is the queen, am i crazy to think that we do really well against the queen as well? i think we do, man. i mean, this was easy and you do put curses into our hand next time, i think, or into our deck, i should say. but i'm not 100% convinced that that's even that bad. i'm not 100% convinced that that's gonna
-
52:18
matter a lick to be honest with you. at this point we're on 18 decks, we probably don't need to generate more decks. now i will say, and i didn't even think about this until now, presumably we should use the gambler's brew or discard it so that we either get... basically so we get a better potion on the next fight. and i think we would probably operate under the assumption that the average potion is a little bit better than gambler's brew. although, i mean a gambler's brew is pretty
-
52:52
pretty freaking useful if you don't draw the cards you want to draw in turn one. or if you, right now to be honest, if you get a handful of burns you might be stoked to be able to get rid of it. holy cow! 118 block! i mean i just, i'll tank the burn. there's just no reason not to tank the burn. two block from every shiv even is like pretty amazing man. come on hit me, i want you to hit me. escape plan, strike.
-
53:36
you're doing 36 damage, which for a sec, i actually thought like, oh no, 36 damage is kind of a lot. and then i thought to myself, wait a minute, you know who you're talking to here? i got 24 decks, bro. i'm like ash ketchum. i guess his 24 decks is not that good for a pokemon trainer. i mean, it's probably all right. i mean, we probably have our expectations set way too high because of playing the game ourselves and get into 150.
-
54:04
and if you caught mew, tell me how. please, i've been trying for years. please tell me how to catch mew. i've been trying for my whole life. oh, we got time. actually, i honestly think you keep it just to get a abrasive out there in case you can't. what else do we get? touch of insanity, make a card free. okay, well, up my sleeve becoming free saves us a lot in the energy department. and i think i'm just gonna handle this fight in the new old fashioned way, bro.
-
54:41
let's get one noxious. let's play both noxious. save this for when you have the sly power in your hand. 14. we can only play one of these, huh? maybe start here. yeah, that was bad. that was not great. i tried to do something slick and it didn't work. you need to be weakened 100%. so i think this is a footwork blade of ink.
-
55:23
and then just play a defend type situation. but the footwork needs to get out there. actually having bound cards is going to be such a nice defense from having, or having retained cards is going to be such a nice defense from having, you know what i'm trying to say here, right? let me, if i were to discard, i don't want to discard these, oh they won't play, they're not sly. you should keep shadowmeld, discard this, discard that, and just see what you,
-
55:54
thank you. okay, for a second i was gonna freak out! that means you can't play shadowmeld, which actually makes perfect sense that i'm not mad. you do this, let's go 12 block on this and then hold the shadowmeld and just a basic defend. the equilibrium is kind of not our most cost effective block anymore. the retain is the principal benefit. we may need to play a defend, but start with this. we don't need to play a defend. so hold an escape plan.
-
56:32
i think we're very, very well set up. because all we need to do to defeat the queen is block. beautiful. you're doing 36. you got mad weapons too? i ain't trying to hear that, man. we're 16 decks up. you're doing 45 damage. i think you gotta... i mean, we gotta get to at least 10,000. let's put it that way. now you're doing 30 damage and that's gotta be embarrassing. because i mean, 30 damage when we're outputting this kind of heat is crazy. you're in for a world of hurt.
-
57:09
and now i got discord messages, it's going, it's going crazy. this time, dump in equilibrium, it's too expensive to play. everybody wants a piece of enel now that he's finally getting to the top of the silent rankings. this run was beautiful. can i tell you? there's no chance we're gonna lose at this point and i'm not just setting comedic timing.
-
57:33
the thing that won us this run was literally the sequencing of the card rewards. if i'd gotten noxious fumes any time but as my first reward, there's a realistic chance i look at that and i go, well that just doesn't work for our deck.
-
57:47
the fact that on this one we got it as our first reward, i even did it under duress. i was like, i don't know if i could even take this, is this even good? and then it ended up being the engine that powered not just the deck, but it was the model on which we built the construction of our deck around that really saved the day, man. it was the easiest ascension 10 run i've had by a mile. we were never in danger at all.
-
58:11
it was easy. and you know what? the prophecy is fulfilled. great silent run. for now, thanks for watching. hope you've enjoyed it. if you did, click the like button. it helps a great deal. subscribe if you want to see more in the future and i'll see you next time. later!
