gamers, the guy who loses and then wins is back. back to play the defect on ascension level 7, how about that? what happened to ascension level 6, bro? i'll take a random rare as the defect. exhaust all your status cards. deal 8 damage to a random enemy for each card exhausted. i've, i mean, we'll give it a try. i've literally never seen this card before in my life.
-
0:32
but i know that there are obviously cards that exhausts or that create statuses and that's about all i know. i was really hoping it was going to say eight damage to all enemies for every card exhausted, but maybe i was asking for the moon, but if you ask for the moon and you miss, they may still land you amongst the stars, i think is what they say. it's kind of useless for now, huh?
-
1:01
um... damage is pretty good, but we need to get a different type of orb out there, i think. and frost is one of the better ones. i think you take two damage to try to get into a position where you can stun one of them on this turn. but that is not gonna happen. exhaust? because this is not a status. i feel like i should try it for science. confirm, not a status.
-
1:34
that at least now we know. now we won't spend the entire comment section wondering what if, you know what i mean? 14 damage? how about instead of 14 damage you do something impossible for a person like you and get a life? you ever consider that? 12 damage. oh, real original. okay, 12 damage on top of that. all right, whatever, corpse slug. any statuses?
-
2:06
i don't really think i love a boot sequence. i think if anything we do need damage. i'm not a huge fan of sunder, but i'm hoping the shop gives us something that creates statuses maybe? none statuses. scrape is not really... i mean we're too early to be talking about synergy, but maybe just cut a basic strike right now and then draw sunder on turn one?
-
2:38
draw none blocks on turn one. you know what? this is a great time to use an explosive ampule. so i'm not going to bury the lead. that whole, i'm the guy who loses one and then wins one. the loses one definitely seems like that could be the sort of thing that comes to pass here. because we have no synergy whatsoever. we can get statuses via turbo. i have a hard time believing that this is going to work, man. out of clumsy, clumsy is not a status, bro.
-
3:13
we add it regardless. unceasing top on ascensions that add curses to your deck, man? i don't think so. i'll take a charge battery, give us some extra energy. i don't know, okay? i don't know what we're doing. i think right now, sunder needs to level up to keep it playable. are we gonna see a shop? highly unlikely. just give me 52 gold. we're really taking the coward's path, but i think i stand by it, man.
-
3:50
no turn one sunder? kind of insane to add a void into your draw pile without even being able to take advantage of the energy, but isn't that how this is supposed to work? oh! for each card you've exhausted in the game! not just each card you've exhausted on that turn. for each card you've exhausted. okay, because i was literally out here thinking,
-
4:21
this is the worst card that's ever been added to any video game ever. so this actually, and it doesn't screw up the choices we've already made. that changes everything. okay, i just, i literally just misread it. but wait, well we've exhausted, oh we've exhausted, but we've exhausted two cards. why does it hit one time? guys, i don't really know, uh, i don't really know what's happening.
-
4:52
wait, i didn't read it right, did i? it's not even every status in your hand, it's every status in your discard pile or your draw pile or your hand. oh my god. wait a second. i'm not sure that makes it awesome, but it definitely makes me a little bit more bullish than i was recently.
-
5:14
now am i just gonna literally become a caricature of myself and add every card that adds a status into our deck? yeah bro, obviously that's exactly what's gonna happen. and then we're gonna upgrade our golden cards and then see how it goes. overclock me, turbo me. you're doing nine damage. so you should get exhausted. all your status cards deal 11 damage to randomly me for each card exhausted. i should be able to hit you.
-
5:51
and then this hits three times, which is already pretty good. although you could save it as a kill shot later when you've exhausted more, which also makes a ton of sense. bro, you wouldn't kill me. now that i kind of understand what i'm doing, you wouldn't kill me. i literally don't want you to roll over this turn. i want you to roll over next turn. play a sunder this turn. oh, the lightning and the sunder. feel the lightning. feel the sunder.
-
6:30
play this so you can draw sunder faster. lightning and the sunder. wait, okay. i'm starting to figure out how this works. you do 11 damage, which is not that impressive. i would literally rather have a lightning out there. and the sunder? we run this town. do i understand what i'm doing? no, not really. not really. i don't understand how to build this deck. i think i'm playing it in a very irritating way for sure.
-
7:08
i don't think we need any of these though. although to be honest, shadow shield with a void seems like there might be something to that. not a void, sorry, with a turbo. and then gain 13 block to add 2 wounds to our discard pile. the reason we do that is because those wounds will get exhausted by flak cannon when flak cannon goes off.
-
7:43
well, obviously i'm just gonna choose to not take any damage. although a gunk top would have made flat cannon do more damage, but i just don't think we need it because this is doing 44 damage. wait, maybe it's peak? maybe flat cannon's incredible? i'm not sure we need more block. we already have heavy blockers. you are the lagavulin. i'm going to rest just because i think i honestly i screwed this up by not playing the card the way i'm supposed to play the card.
-
8:19
and i don't want to ruin what could be a good run just out of that kind of idiocy. but i do feel like the lagavulin might be an awesome... this would wake up just to put a slime in there. i don't think i can afford to do that just yet. i do think that this is exactly the boss that we want to fight, so we have the opportunity to add as many statuses into our deck as possible. i suppose we might as well send this out there. so now a flak cannon should go crazy.
-
8:57
but honestly, the longer you can wait on it, the better too. we have a lot of damage to do. i'll be so for real with you. we double up on asunder just because i think the second flat cannon won't get the bonus that the first one got. so this already does 66 damage with god as my witness. i mean, i know it doesn't exhaust. maybe you have to play it every time it comes around.
-
9:25
just because of the fact that it means you won't be drawing a bunch of dead statuses on the way. that makes a lot of sense to me. 11 block and a dark, and then these go into our discard pile, which is huge. this goes into our discard pile, which is huge. i don't think we need to add another void. at this point, a flat cannon probably still gets the job done. for some comp, well, not even close actually. it does hit for 22.
-
9:57
22 for 2? i mean this is also kind of 22 for 2 but you lose the orb i guess. and this gets rid of the wounds which is nice. sunder for 30? wait, this deck might actually be peak which has got to be irritating because i didn't know what i was doing for the first part of it. an echo form is just so hard to play but you know what we do have extra energy from turbo assuming we draw them on the same turn. i do, pale's legion has been pretty good for us. pale's tooth is just so freaking sexy man.
-
10:51
like i think cutting these and then like one of our wound generators, like maybe cutting those two and then we really don't need echo form on early fights. i think losing those is five pretty solid upgrades but that don't make it impossible for us to do well on these fights that we're on as we speak. see like 13 block, gain two energy, we can still sunder you with the lightning and because he has lightning because of zap.
-
11:27
because he has zap, we could say the lightning and the sunder. and then this hits for 44, and you're taking sunder? might sound crazy. do we even want sunder back? i mean, we did upgrade it. you could always just not play it if you don't like it on a turn. that doesn't fit our win condition. what is our win condition? i don't know, filling our deck with garbage and then playing flak cannon, i suppose? well, a sunder does go crazy. we have to be able to play it, which we're not going to be able to.
-
12:08
sunder does do 9 damage, which is not crazy, i might add. by the way, i picked this path, it might have been obvious, but i picked this path because of the fact that we would be able to fight enemies quickly, which will get those upgraded cards back in our deck real quick. taking 1 damage kind of flicking me, but that's life, man. optimal sunder. i don't think we need a leap. i'm content with my thin deck right now. i think it's doing some okay work.
-
12:51
you having 127 hp is kind of insane. a very minimal aoe. yeah, this is going to be an issue. we should draw a flak cannon because we have overclock as well. you play overclock, you draw a flak cannon. flak cannon hits for 44. this is still going to really suck, man. 11 damage. maybe it's not the end of the world. i'll play plating.
-
13:32
and defend just to stay out in front of this. this isn't as bad as i thought it would be, to be honest. we're setting up for the next flat cannon. we are vulnerable, which is really bad. we got a flat cannon, holy cow. and the turbo. am i crazy to think? i mean, you have to play the flat cannon first just to see if on the off chance they all hit you and then sunder gets us a kill.
-
14:05
thunder's gonna get us a kill on a basic enemy no matter what, but i'd rather use it on you obviously. my god, my god, unceasing top, unceasing top, you've saved me. and by exhausting all the cards i've made to put myself in a position where unceasing top actually works. kinda crazy. how about a flat cannon? shadow shield. do we just two tap you? man, get that out there.
-
14:46
because now we're lowering what we need to kill you. we need a sunder. a sunder kills you. and a sunder has been drawn. huge. deal 13 damage, draw a card whenever you create a status, reduce this card's cost to 0 until played. slay the spire is literally easy. you just grab whatever the best first card you see is in that first card reward section, grab that and then spend the rest of the game just grabbing any card that has the same keyword in it.
-
15:20
that's all you need to do. literally we got 44 damage coming out here on this. have you seen this? and we exhausted four cards. all we need is like one of those relics that buffs you when you exhaust the card. okay, obviously we'll play a rocket punch and a shadow shield. you're gonna play something, play a defend early because you zap the, i mean this guy's extremely annoying is what i'm trying to say. so the faster you kill him the better off you're gonna be. it's true in all circumstances but we have to see what we draw.
-
15:58
we literally just, i know we have sunder, it's not gonna get us there. just don't take damage and then kill him with a dark orb or something similar next turn. it may have literally killed him by the way, but five damage, five damage and four damage is nine. i don't have the energy for that, my bad y'all. i'm gonna take six damage for no reason. still pretty w fight if i dare say so myself. gunkup has returned. i think overclock is literally like the more of them we could add to the deck, the happier we'd be.
-
16:36
i really don't think we need to get focus and i definitely don't think we need to have an orb trigger. i don't think we have anything to duplicate, man. i mean, i'm not gonna spend that much to get another copy of overclock. and flat cannon, i can wait till it shows up. having two of them seems like too much of a good thing. now rocket punch might be a play, because it does draw. but again, it's uncommon. i'd rather just buy one.
-
17:09
what's crazy here is i actually feel like we're better off keeping the ethereal curses in the deck. no, wait, the curses only... you only get the buff off... i still don't understand how flat cannon works is what i'm trying to say. for now, i think we'd rather draw more, but i do understand drawing... well, we draw more off of rocket punch too. but rocket punch... i was gonna say it doesn't cause zero, but it literally does. i think i made two mistakes in a row, what i'm trying to say. why don't we play it simple?
-
17:44
great thing about fighting this guy with our deck is that we don't really do that many attacks, i think. we would definitely play a zap. definitely play a rocket punch. i guess flat cannon is gonna count as an attack. it would mean... gunked up adds a slime. we really need that shadow shield though, and this still hits for 33. wait, this guy creates statuses, bro! that's awesome! screw it. i'll add a void into our discard pile for no reason.
-
18:18
because i actually have a very good reason. flat cannon. huge, huge, huge. when did i get so many statuses in my draw pile? who did this to me? do i dual cast? yes, dual, dual cast, dual cast him. you know what i'm talking about? what are we drawing next? there's one flat cannon in there. i want to make sure we draw it next turn. we took more damage than i like, but
-
18:58
you remember what bilbo says, you took how you i've taken more damage from twice as many of you than half as many of you deserve. i don't know. feral is interesting in a sense that it could bring back a rocket punch and then make another status and play another rocket punch but it costing two is kind of nasty and i feel like i kind of like where i stand if i'm being honest. if you did not play any attacks gained four block i don't know about that one tim.
-
19:33
i do think we have a case for guria, but i think drawing cards is so much more valuable for creating statuses fast. upgrade all card rewards if you took no damage. strikes me as unlikely. now, i am gonna take the coward's way out here and rest a little bit, but i do think this deck is fire, man. i do hate this boss, though. there's definitely like an overclock.
-
20:04
into a turbo, into a fight through. holy cow, into a sunder which gives us one energy back and then a flat cannon which hits for 44. this gives us a chance to put a dark orb closer to the front. i think we're right to play that dual cast. you're probably okay to play an echo form, man. get an energy back, play a charge battery, take a little bit of damage to hopefully set up a much better situation. i think we'd be happy to gunk up on this one.
-
20:50
fight through still good. 27 huh? taking a little damage. we do need a better block solution i'm learning. if we could get a card, this might literally be like the ironclad's best card now that i think about it. but if we could get the card that is like every time you exhaust the card gain block, that would go crazy. it may not exist for this character, but if it did, if it did it would go crazy. i just don't know if i see us being able to play bulk up man.
-
21:28
it's expensive to get out there. i think we'd rather have a potion of binding to vulnerable on a big, flat cannon turn. i don't know. i don't know. this guy's a real pain in the butt, but we do accelerate our damage pretty quick. hits three times. i can absolutely live with hits three times. functionally very similar to playing asunder, i suppose, but at least we get the statuses. oh, and we've enabled our rocket punch. i'm going to actually draw one fewer card, and the reason is we already have draw in our deck.
-
22:16
i think we have enough draw that this is okay. you literally, if you're gonna do it, do it now. there's never gonna be a better time than now to get void form out there, especially because it's not ethereal anymore because it's upgraded, but still. holy shit. okay. obviously i forgot that i had void form, but it still provided us with a benefit. flak cannon literally only does 33 damage on this turn. it saves us from drawing two statuses. i think you snooze on it now in favor of a better block turn.
-
22:59
we take eight damage, i can live with that. overclock me, fight through me, shadow shield me, turbo me, obviously taking no damage. the little dual cast never hurt anybody. now the next flat cannon is gonna go dummy mode. eight damage. this you literally have to send it out there. not bad. now i think if anything you would love to at least see what unceasing top has to offer here. the dark orb is gonna be huge for us. you cannot play more than three cards per turn.
-
23:44
yeah, yeah, i'm gonna try it man. i'm gonna live with it. and remember the first card you played gets played twice. literally make burns so that flak cannon gets better. we're doing it a little differently. literally shadow shield twice and then gunk up bro. it's a very dangerous way to play the game. don't even cool headed twice. literally defend twice because you're waiting for a dual cast to come out later. flak cannon hits six times. i don't know if it
-
24:27
i think we want to play flat cannon second because we had the lonely the first one is the only one that'll do damage anyway. literally we can deal with one less energy. i know it's it sounds like i've lost my mind but did i lose it or not? that was textbook bro! all rules are made to be broken. i mean machine machine i called it machine machine learning definitely seems valuable there is something to be said about all for one
-
25:09
all for one bringing back all the overclocks and turbos zap and dual cast we don't care but and then all the rocket punches is i think it's got to be all for well i think it's gonna give us way more draw you will not play my first turn for me remove three cards get a folly the start of each combat add one of five cards into your head hand add retain to it honestly, i think i would be happy to with the amount of draw that we have and
-
25:43
let's make sure we're drawing our best cards, man. plus it's ethereal anyway, so who even cares? i have no idea what path to take. that's very nice. 22, you're doing 24. i can live with this. crazy first turn for draw though. are you serious? we have nothing that creates a status effect? it just doesn't seem possible given what i have in my deck, man. see, that's what i, now we're talking. and now we're drawing our whole deck every single turn or something?
-
26:33
like we're still drawing and now this hits five times. i think you're seeing what i wanted this deck to do. i think you're starting to pick up and i didn't even know that this is what i was looking for to be fair, but i think you're seeing it. this time i'm gonna pay the gold. but then there's the odds of you getting a relic are so low. we have such a curse heavy deck though. i'm gonna go three times man. my god, we got a curse. can we even get a relic? you literally can't get a relic.
-
27:08
so take a card and maybe something next to it. colorless. oh, it's rocket punch. fair trade, although getting the getting the curse is just really bad luck, honestly. still nothing that creates a status which is is truly mind boggling, but at least we get an echo form on a turn in which they're not doing anything. what do you play with your echo form? probably an overclock into a turbo into an overclock.
-
27:41
rocket punch has drawn a cool headed. fight through gives us some more wounds. we can already hit for 66 and we're taking zero damage. let's raise that now at 77. wait, say that again. all for one, bring back all our zero cost cards. rocket punch. i know you're going to say, nl, what happened? i thought you were going to play flat cannon. well, i was going to. i thought we were going to bring back turbo. what happened to my turbo, bro? it's still a great turn, don't get me wrong, but my turbo didn't come back.
-
28:16
wait, i got too much junk in the trunk. confirmed. that's a great block though. give me some more. give me some more. then we get a turbo on top of it. draw some more cards. we need john boy on that one. okay. 21. i think we're chilling, bro. it sucks to draw the void and not be able to play gunk up, but like literally all this deck does is draw and then play a flat cannon at some point and like ruin lives. i mean, momentum strike is interesting, but it's not what we're going for. we're going for statuses.
-
29:07
heal 10 or add a regret to your deck. i will literally heal for 10. as embarrassing as it is, our deck is too rife with curses already. are you adding 10 status cards to my deck? no, daryl! that's a huge mistake, man. we may not even need to play echo form. you don't want to add 10 status cards to my deck, bro. i'm telling you. that's bad for you if i draw a flak cannon, man. i didn't. yet.
-
29:45
two voids. interesting. probably in hindsight, not the way i would have done that. but now i have... it's 14 times, huh? it's 15 times. and it exhausts all the statuses. take forever with the order, by the way, but sure. can i say, i kind of like the way he's going. i kind of like the animation he's hitting when he does that too. okay, first card you played gets played twice. that's money, man. no, no, we skipped that. do we have anything in dire need of an upgrade?
-
30:29
yes, rocket punch drawing 2 is literally much better. now yes, we can get one extra damage on all our multi hit stuff, but that's not the win condition, bro. that's not the win condition. who's our boss, by the way? ooh, the door, baby! nah, it might be chill. i don't know. you play our cards that generate statuses, and then we only have nine cards, and some of those cards are gonna drop. plus, we played void form. flat cannon, not good here. definitely fight through, pretty good here. and now, flat cannon is much, much better.
-
31:16
but probably still unlikely to get a kill. but we'd be taking like three damage, so we don't really care that much. yeah, that's completely acceptable. first thing you play gets played twice. we're gonna draw a lot, so give us more energy to work with. i'm just gonna say it, this deck is actually awesome. like, what we've got going on here is actually kind of disgusting. look at all the zero cost cards we can play, bro. and now we have seven energy and we have 55 damage on the field.
-
31:59
with so much energy still left in our hands. defect's kind of the goat. i don't think we need another turpo. i think, wait, stop drilling, bro. you hit oil. fight through is removed from your deck? nah, i don't think so. cool headed? yeah, yeah, i could be content with that being removed from my deck, quite frankly. overclock, drawing more. and then rest before the boss with the regal pillow. okay. overclock. something like this. all for one is the card we're happiest to draw right now, i think.
-
32:40
bite through, overclock, turbo's huge, then a rocket punch. dual cast gets played just to make space in the hand. probably a little bit of extra block, then you play your all for one. all of a sudden, you're kind of starting to turn over. zero cost rocket punch. now do you just play an echo form? i don't think we need it. i don't think we need it.
-
33:10
it's alright, we'll catch flak cannon on the flip side. we literally, it's like the los angeles dodgers, like we just hit through the order man. alright, we still have draw, which is kind of insane. oh that's really bad. yeah, that just kind of sucked, but alright. still you're only taking 10. 10 on a bad turn is not the end of the world man. this time we only have two energy. this hits for 56, but you kind of gotta play it.
-
33:48
not exhausting those voids on the first pass has actually proved very bad for us. because now we're drawing them and we don't have the energy to like actually play our cards. strike dummy. six block with the daze. i think we pass on it, man. no combat. thank you. thank you. i don't want to, well we can't even spend 250. okay. what do i want? i do feel like more energy could hit the spot.
-
34:28
and then you know what? first time you lose hp each combat, draw some cards. now this is the door maker. door maker's no joke. we got our hp back to a respectable level for sure. but ideally, we would absolutely play a void form on turn one here. that's obviously not gonna come to pass. okay, whatever you play gets exhausted. devastating. don't at me. it had to be done. i cannot draw additional cards during my turn.
-
35:19
that's pretty bad for me. yeah, that's really not good for me. and whatever i play first gets played twice, but we have one block. we have a default block, which is crazy. i'm still gonna play it because i need to live and i'm gonna play this because statuses are good for us to be out there anyway. but there is, i mean, it's hurting me. it's hurting me a lot. and i guess hitting you for 55 ain't no joke.
-
36:01
you know what? the next time we see sunder, we may not even be able to play it. we literally can't draw, so don't even play this just to get unceasing top to happen. at least the dark orb might be a miracle worker for us at some point. now, this is every time you play a card, you lose energy. that's okay. we double up on fight through, take no damage, try to draw into these rocket punches maybe, or do you wait till next turn when you draw five
-
36:32
and immediately start with an all for one that draws everything and just try to go all in in one turn even though everything's going to exhaust. because i have, it's hard for me to believe we're going to be alive next turn man. this is crazy but let me just give it a try okay? because you're doing 33 the first thing you plague is played twice. we can't generate, oh we can generate enough block okay well we'll just do that then.
-
37:04
which means we should have well no, maybe we were right to not play the overclock. we don't know what we're going to draw. exhaust a basic defense. the basic defense are not going to keep us alive at this point. okay. great news is we can't die this term. whatever you play first gets played twice. that's that's book. we have voids we could draw. no, fantastic. we can't draw. we hit for 99. that's not that bad. we can't die. cards become more expensive.
-
37:48
that means we're never gonna be able to play everything that we've got here. we can draw... no, what are we gonna draw for block next turn is the real question, man. i mean, i think you have to double up on a charge battery. do it. a turbo? a turbo would get you to another block. overclock is more status. we really need to cycle it back around so that we can like draw, fight through on our next turn, which will keep us alive. i mean, with god as my witness,
-
38:40
i think you just go out here and play a defend. okay, we need fight through. it's that simple. and we didn't get it, which is bad. but we could draw into enough block to stay alive. we got fight through. you're gonna play a zap. all these are getting exhausted, but we have to go all in. play a zap, play a turbo, fight through. you still need to find a way to live. all for one is only gonna, oh, because these are all getting exhausted. we're not drawing anything, bro. chart, we need to draw into like all of our blocks.
-
39:24
cuz we're still dying. that literally keeps you alive, which is insane. the only thing is do we want, cuz we could draw no matter what we're drawing everything next turn. unless we don't get a flat cannon in which case we go to hell. but we don't, we don't mind, you know what? flat cannon is as good this turn as it'll be next turn. the only thing is it does exhaust this turn, which is obviously horrific but a rocket punch. i mean it exhausts so i wouldn't sweat it just.
-
40:01
any chance i can get you low enough that avoid form sunder kills you? that's what we're looking at here. i don't think this will kill you, but we could possibly put you in range for a oh my god, avoid form sunder will finish the job and we're guaranteed to draw it, but i'm weak, but i still think we does 24? cinema! to me, this is cinema! to me, this is the greatest game ever made. well, that was fun. um, for now, thanks for watching. i hope you guys enjoyed this one. if you did, click the like button. it helps out a great deal. of course, subscribe.

40:44
you want to see more in the future? for now, thanks for watching and i'll see you next time. later!
