we will not be freaking suck this year. sorry, i thought that i was muted so halfway through i had to pivot to looking at the microphone to see if it was actually on the ironclad. let's go. let's go. um, i love a random rare, but i don't know. i got to give props to silver crucible. some things you want to autopilot, man. i'm telling you, you might be like, uh, oh, it's good to analyze every situation.
-
0:29
at runtime? no bro, that costs you resources. i don't care if i'm in a parking garage, i'm always gonna signal. you know why? because it means that when i'm outside of the parking garage, it's automatic. i don't have to think about it. i'm turning my car so i'm signaling. now sometimes you need to analyze. can i fit my car into the spot when i'm parallel parking? six years ago probably would have said no. these days my daughter's first daycare had some really really tight spaces.
-
0:58
and i'm feeling a lot more confident about my parallel parking. i'm feeling like i might be one of the best doing it right now to be honest with you. and don't talk to me about nascar drivers. they're not parallel parking, bro. they're mostly just turning left, i think. let me think about this. this is big. i think removing early. i've said literally exactly the opposite. i feel like removing early isn't as valuable as adding another card. now, prowess upgraded does go kind of crazy.
-
1:28
like one strength, one dex, i kind of sleep. but two strength, two dex for one energy, the little crazy. draw is always good, don't get me wrong. i'm gonna take some prowess and try to make it work, man. sharp, nimble or swift. i mean, i love swift on a power. there is the possibility that maybe actually on this one, we like a nine damage to everyone. thunderbolt though.
-
1:57
i always take swift. let's mix it up. and that's the best that a thunderclap's ever gonna be. go ahead and give me greed while we're here. we'd love to do some more combat, to be honest with you, so that i could actually take advantage of silver crucible. i mean, it would be quite a rarity if we
-
2:22
got the empty chest before silver crucible had actually completely paid out. that would be a first time for me. i'm not gonna say i'm the first person to ever do it, but it'd be a first time for me. i think you, as much as i love it, and i really do love a true grit, especially upgraded, you go twin strike because it will benefit more from strength increases. similarly, anything that blocks multiple times. i don't know if the ironclad has. i guess those cards that exhaust
-
2:53
every time they exhaust the card, they gain a certain amount of block that would probably benefit from more decks. i think it depends on how it's written, but go ahead and hit me for 13 so i can hit you for 16. it's gonna be a bit of a heavyweight bout here, but it is what it is, man. go ahead and hit me for 12 so i can get you closer.
-
3:20
it's a horrible turn, honestly. or is it? you know what? we actually play the bash and then we get one turn to beat up on you a little bit. you still have vigor, which is bad, but on this one you don't do a multi hit. so that actually turned out super well for us. 25% additional gold early is kind of crazy. the dominate is really highly regarded in the chat community. is it a build around?
-
3:53
like we're kind of on a strength gain. you can get a pommel anywhere, man. it's common. you'll have other opportunities to get pommel. don't sweat it. we have to fight another lead up here. i still know we just got our last crucible. that's right. 9 plus 12, 21. you'd be on 26. pick 9 twice. excuse me. i think we need to draw a defense. yeah, exactly.
-
4:25
with burning blood, like realistically, we could be roughly at the same amount of hp by the time we make it to the next elite, but we obviously don't want to, you know, cut it too close. especially because we don't even know what the elite would be. six damage, three additional damage for every card in the exhaust pile. we're not really built for that right now, but a taunt is a good block that also scales vuln, which is very nice for us.
-
4:54
realizing we need the deck to be a little bit more block heavy. simply because we're just not consistently drawing block as of right now on the turns in which we need to. i want that. i want to put up some and then i'll just gain some strength while we're here. it hurts to not play that upgraded thunderclap, but...
-
5:19
we'll get another chance, man. okay, you guys are in a rough spot. i'm kind of in a rough spot too, but we'll see. whoa, the greatest thunderclap of all time! explosive amp fuel, gain 5 block, 50% less damage from vulnerable enemies. seems very important. this turn, this turn they're saying. you know what? double up on a duplicator. i mean, we could hit you a little bit, but
-
5:56
we should have hit you instead of taking i didn't factor in the lack of damage we would be taking but good taunts. at some point you have to hit the enemy with eight strength. we really only have to hit you like once per turn this time we might have to hit you twice but even that's not a problem. you don't need to do 15 twice we can keep the vulnerability up. take as little damage as possible.
-
6:26
you're vulnerable, which is huge. and then next turn, any attack should kill you. this went better than expected and holy cow, colossus was huge for us. horn cleat kind of goes crazy. i mean, two thunderclaps? i'm gonna say why not, man? i'm gonna say why not take a crazy chance, why not do a crazy dance? turn two is great for us. this is a great opportunity for us to just go crazy.
-
6:55
like the immortal prince said on that song from the singing soundtrack. um, too vulnerable. seven block means we don't take damage. seven damage means you don't have block. how's that for synchronicity too? boom, looking for this. i think a second dominate makes a lot of sense. this is our time, man. when you're the first time you're hit each turn, well, that's not getting hit. um, you need to put yourself
-
7:32
in a dangerous situation for next turn. and i always, this is probably like the optimal time to look up the right order. but this is still big. we definitely, we have a lot of block this turn. we want prowess for the future. if i thunderclap you, or sorry, dominate you and then thunderclap, i do kill the front unit as well, which has already come to pass so you know that it must be true.
-
8:11
that basically could not have gone better. demon tongue, the first time you lose hp on your turn, the first time you lose hp on your turn, heal hp equal to the amount lost. so now, i mean, sword boomerang would also be pretty amazing, but offering is literally free. i will rest just because the bosses always get me, man. but offering is literally free, by which i mean it costs zero. yeah, okay.
-
8:46
maybe because you sleep for three turns we wait on this. don't be a fool. it costs zero but also doesn't even cost us any extra health, which is incredible. and then we'd love to play prowess if possible. prowess has shown up. this is the turn where we wake you up. actually like a pretty sizable amount of damage already. and then, hit him with the shrink ray. we don't take any damage.
-
9:15
taunt him, colossus, we're really not taking any damage and holy cow you're gonna be vulnerable for the next dominate in a big way man. and i'm not talking about the hot pot restaurant which is a first because i've been going a lot and i got my order honed in pretty nicely okay? and it's not 30 bucks a hot pot anymore, it's down in like the 18, 20 dollar range. still not cheap but much more economical and you're still, you're satisfied after.
-
9:48
by the way, obviously in case it wasn't clear, demon tongue only works on our turn. if it worked on the enemy turn, we would be literally like unkillable. it would be amazing, don't get me wrong. i mean, not yet. seems great, man. not yet. i mean, are we even going to suffer hp related problems though is a question. thrash i don't think we're really built for. we only have like one attack in the deck that is really getting kills though.
-
10:18
at the start of your turn, a random attack from your discard pile comes into your hand and upgrades it. i'm a little skeptical of it. give me a not yet for now. and then what do you got for me man? pale's tears. pale's tooth. we don't need pale's tooth. pale's tooth has gotten us into some trouble lately. i really like this run.
-
10:44
mostly because i always like our ironclad runs, i think. but you end your turn with one unspent energy, gain two next turn, or the first time you end your turn without playing cards exhaust your hand and take an extra turn. i think you take pale's tears. my whole hypothesis here is on turn two we can get it to trigger like every time, i think. because on turn two, well not every time, but often times. because on turn two we'll have 14 block by default.
-
11:27
like i would rather to be honest with you, i would rather have one extra energy than hit you for well hitting you for 21 is pretty tempting. you know what? maybe we wait on it. but we got to play a heel for 10 which is nice and we already have five strength. i was hoping for colossus this turn. honestly hit me a little bit man. what are you trying to say? you're trying to take taunt. trying to block my shine just ain't gonna happen so don't try. not bad at all. we'll take taunt. i mean it certainly does feel like
-
12:04
like can you go wrong? i mean we'd love to have like a molten fist or something but can you really go wrong just taking a bunch of dominates? some things i like. half price, both of the relics, cutting a basic, fight me is interesting. i really like it and of course i love, i mean, listen i've gone a little crazy. we now have a 25 card deck but i think all the cards are good.
-
12:45
enchant a card with perfect fit. what would we like to come back around every single time, man? honestly, as good as flame barrier is, by the time we go through our deck one time, we probably want like a big attack coming around. and our biggest attack long term
-
13:16
unless we'd rather have dominate come to the top just be gone wrong. we'd rather have a big attack our biggest attack will be this over time even though it does less damage than twin strike the strength gained from it we'll be happy to have and i think we should try to fight elites put ourselves in a position at least where we want to think about it
-
13:48
honestly, you accept taking 5 damage to put you in a killable position next turn because we have a lot of heals. we should be more open to taking damage. although it sounds backwards, we should be more open to taking damage. and don't forget about pale's tears, okay? because i don't want that to have been like a completely useless card. you know what? i think on this one,
-
14:28
i'm a believer in just taking the heal for 10. you're gonna get blown out on this one. so even if you both attack next term, we're not stressed. that does no damage to us. we smack you. we can't make you vulnerable, which is crazy, but i can gain enough strength to easily kill you. you lost, but we don't lose hp. tremble applies a bunch of vulnerable. it might be worth it. i mean, i clicked it before i could even do the thoughts. but yeah, it seems smart. let me see what my attacks are here. anything that has vulnerability,
-
15:03
i mean, we could gain two strength and then do 21 damage to all enemies. you could do 17 damage to all enemies or we could do 15 damage and take a bunch of... well, i think i see something. okay, let's go... i understand we had a great aoe in there. let's take 12 damage off the field. let's apply some vulnerability. take 12 damage off the field. play two defense. hypothesis. next turn, we have some basic blocks.
-
15:48
we take no damage, obviously. as good as fight me is, and i see the tremble and dominate combo here, and we're going to do it. i don't know why in my head i was like, no, obviously i'm not going to do that. i'm going to get one energy next turn. nah, bro, i think you should probably get up to seven strength. that seems way more sensible to me. we are hoping to have some aoe
-
16:20
24 block, you're doing 27, you're doing 34. we're blocking 33 and pushing a lot out anyway. we just need to draw our attacks to be honest with you. clearly that's not gonna happen. but we can take some damage off the field here. we are still taking 27 which sucks pretty bad but i'm open to the idea that maybe i misplayed this a little bit. you're both dead.
-
16:57
i don't want to do that because i'd rather play not yet, but it had to be done. okay, wait, ice cream could change the game for us with pales tears. because by ending our first turn with one unspent energy, we get two next turn that we could carry over indefinitely. insane choice to rest, okay? but i want to keep fighting elites, not just because we're getting sort of stoned, but i actually think we're very well set up to kind of do well against elites here. you gaining strength is scary though. honestly, there's no reason even to thunderclap.
-
17:36
wind strike will add two dazes, enemy gains one strength, i gain three perfect fit. i think i roll over a bunch of energy. i have seven energy now. certainly don't mind picking up a bunch of strength. and now i would hit you and we still get a bunch of energy off of pales tears. no, we still get a bunch of energy off of pales tears, holy cow. keep the vuln going.
-
18:11
32 damage, not awesome. but it's actually only 16 damage and we now have 14 strength, which is crazy. obviously we want not yet, obviously we want dominate. we take seven damage, we have 22 strength. so like any attack, pretty confident, essentially any attack ruins your life. that was awesome. every three turns draw an extra card.
-
18:44
a copy of the third attack you play each turn into your hand. we have so much energy. that seems really workable, man. even though the deck is getting thick, don't get me wrong. it really is. upgrade all card rewards if no damage was taken. not likely. i would happily use vambrace, man. actually, i kind of love, i mean, sword boomerangs, obviously. oh, we could get it all because it's 12 gold.
-
19:17
give me vambrace, which is pale's legion, but only for the first card to be played to combat. so this could solve our block on turn one. extra decks, sword boomerang scales so well with our strength gain, with our deck essentially. and we can actually get sword of stone here, assuming we don't die. that's awesome, by the way, those are great choices. assuming we don't die against this fella, literally, literally give me 16 block pass. we already get pale's tears to activate and now we're on six energy.
-
19:55
you'd use the first dominate first. dominate, dominate, dominate. we're already 11 strength up. this gives us energy that heals us. we're feeling like that was a pretty great turn. already feeling good about that. i would. you get one strength. what do i care about you getting one strength, bro? we're going to be bodying you. so the other thing that could really hit the spot for us huge, uh, an x cost card.
-
20:34
to really take advantage of the extra energy where anchor is so good here as well. an x cost card to take advantage of the energy we're building up as a result of ice cream. i don't really want an early juggling. i don't need it innate. if this was two turns, that would be so insane.
-
20:58
you do go four times, which is a big difference. you do apply two, two vulnerable is actually not that important. same like adding one vulnerable no longer seems that important. adding one more attack seems really crazy to me. kind of a horrible start to be honest. but i mean, be smart about it. get pales tears activated. we should take six damage still. now with seven energy, we like a prowess.
-
21:34
we like a tremble into a domino, we should have thunderclap first but alas. we take two damage. i'm feeling really strong right now. you have four volume. i don't necessarily feel like i need to go in on more volume then. we love it. we love it. 17 strength. taking no damage. could have saved one. yeah, could have saved one defend that they won't maybe not. okay, more volume first would be crazy.
-
22:15
i mean you can bash for more bone thunderclap for more bone dominate will give you nine extra strength fight me gives you extra strength and then we get another fight me and then you're easily dead oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god um it does feel like aggression just giving you more attacks is good especially if it gives you attacks that are good
-
22:48
but aoe is a bit of a sore subject for us. 8 damage to all enemies, 2 additional damage for every... and plus with all the strength, yeah, conflagration might be the move. we don't need the max hp to feed that bad, i think. we definitely don't want vaku to play our first turn for us. a random power in your hand for free is awesome, man. because it's either juggling or prowess, both of which are really big, i think.
-
23:18
and i think we should be going crazy. we do have sword of stone, so we start with three strength man, man, man, man, man. god, man, god, man, god. either way, i think we wanna go here and then probably there. and then this is dealer's choice campfires or like probably more elites. so let's start here. worst drawn arrows of all time, by the way.
-
23:55
you might as well use a potion, man. that's like heavily overkill. i really love the bootstrap of getting pales, tears and ice cream going on the same turn. you need this, you need that. it's obviously not gonna take any damage. holy cow, are you serious? i did that much damage? well, you're obviously cooked, man. good lord. whenever you apply vulnerable draw to cards,
-
24:41
i don't see how we could not take that. bumsy to your deck for a relic or i would happily lose some hp honestly. we don't need a relic at the cost of a curse i think. make an attack, don't make a power cuz i don't want a bad power to be in our hand for free. what if it's good? we already have good powers. apply too weak, apply too vulnerable. on the other hand, whenever you play a card this turn, nah, apply too weak, apply too vulnerable. how is?
-
25:27
it's the question of how you really want to get started, man. i can hit you pretty freaking good. you hear me out here? i'm gonna go dominate sword boomerang. no, i'm gonna go dominate fight me. and you're gonna say, well, why not play like a taunt, dominate so you get more strength out of it? but i don't wanna lose the effect of vambrace. i think vambrace can be really important for us.
-
26:06
whenever you apply, but i played too many cards so i didn't trigger the cascade. that's right. but you didn't know that that's how that was gonna go down. now we'll trigger the cascade of energy. okay, so now we're up to seven. shrug on them real quick. might as well still dominate. right, okay. and then save the energy cuz it kicks more energy forward. now we're talking. now we are freaking talking. now we are freaking talking, bro. my god, we're unstoppable.
-
26:49
it's like i'm getting every card that i want to get. but i don't want to take them because i'm like, i don't need to tell you need to keep that. you need to keep that. you literally can dump it. i don't want to dump it, but i can dump it. we start with prowess, vicious whenever you apply vulnerable draw to. we would really like to have energy. we didn't draw. i think you have to take a hit here. in that case,
-
27:26
well, no, no, maybe apply vulnerable draw cards. get offering. wait a minute. taunt now means we're not taking damage. so i don't have to play not yet to make up the difference. juggling. okay. and then
-
27:46
dominate gives us five strength and also we draw. you play bully and then start the energy cascade. although to be honest, a twin strike would have beaten you up, man. a twin strike would have gone freaking crazy on you. holy cow, this deck is good. good lord, this deck is good, man. that was an elite by the way. so we wanna fight more elites. we fight two either way. might as well.
-
28:20
i would rather fight two on the path that has a shop as well. plating, i don't mind plating. who's this guy? but why is the door maker so faded, man? nah, we've all been there. he's okay. juggle me, we obviously don't have three attacks. dominate is essentially useless here. i would just play not yet for seven and then pass turn to trigger the energy cascade, man.
-
28:59
and then this is where we hope the party starts. he is like anti vulnerable tech for sure. do we really just, do we go in? it feels bad man, it feels bad cuz you have no vuln on you. is this even, you know what, we have to do it. the reason i think we have to do it is because we need to be able to make him vulnerable so we can draw cards off of vicious. so it's gonna stink for a minute, don't get me wrong.
-
29:42
have we used vambrace? i don't think we have. i'm not gonna pop a vambrace just to avoid like eight damage, which is actually six damage because of plating. like we gotta use our noggin on this one a bit. so now things get interesting. we have 11 energy. now we wanna use the vambrace. mad science is more draw, tremble's more draw. fight me is like a core card for us cuz it's our only way to gain strength now. a lot of damage.
-
30:20
gets replaced in our hands. not intentional, but i'm feeling pretty smart because that could have gone way worse. a 31 card deck is fine by me. i feel like that could have gone way worse, man.
-
30:34
whenever you exhaust the card, deal one damage or add decay but enchant a card that exhausts with soul's power. yeah, man, i'll accept a curse to get, i mean, the endless dominates are also crazy, don't get me wrong, but two energy draw five is for no cost. it's really hard to argue with, man. one volt to all enemies at the start seems totally fine. i don't think we need an inflame.
-
31:03
i'll cut the curse just cuz we got the ability to do so. i do feel like fisticuffs with the strength that we've got, it buys us like if we play that we have one turn where we obviously don't take damage. and then like, i mean, while we're here, just buy them out man. why not? so we love a vicious, we love an offering, which no longer exhausts, which is insane. we'll taunt on you, which draws, fight on you.
-
31:46
we don't need colossus is the thing. last one i'll do a fist of cups, okay? and then this triggers the energy cascade. the first turn ending with one energy takes us to seven on turn two. pretty solid. you need to eat dirt on this one and then this is pretty good. and then we play it one more time. we're actually not taking 17, we're taking zero because we have three plating, which is good cuz we can trigger the energy cascade on the next turn. it's gotta be a thunderclap, mad science.
-
32:26
thunderclap probably kills you which means we get less strength but like who cares man? cuz you're dead. holy cow, lizard's tail? lizard's tail on ascension 10? my god, niles. this is awesome. we'll dominate and i'm not gonna fisticuffs cuz it might take a block for us. let's just play a quick sword boomerang and then trigger a cascade, man. you took my strength, i didn't even notice. taste my blade.
-
33:06
mmm, 25 damage. 18 damage to all enemies. 20 damage to all enemies, which is actually 30 damage. 22 damage, which is actually 33 damage. i can live with no energy cascade on that one just to get the kill. double decks. i mean a gigantification potion could like one tap the boss. a boss. there's a couple coming to be fair. umm... innate juggling?
-
33:46
innate mad science? no, no, no. innate is a spicy one for us here. might just wanna... might just wanna upgrade a dominate and keep it a little bit on the safer side. thunderclap, a dominate, and then start the cascade. now we do wanna kill the torch head amalgam as quickly as possible for sure. how do i like this turn? really don't like this turn. think this turn is not that good.
-
34:27
i will play not yet. literally save the rest of our energy. you're gonna say why? because we still have the vambrace, bro. because we still have the vambrace. forget bully, we need juggling. we literally can't get the trigger on conflagration, which is unfortunate, but at least get it out there. i was hoping to save the dex potion for doormaker, but maybe that's silly. no, man, this is okay. play your game. you have lizard's tail. 27 damage four times.
-
35:15
we only get to play up this 20, 20, 27, three times. we'd have to hit you three times, unlikely. we know we like a colossus and that's already good. be smart about it. apply vuln, gain a bunch of strength, hit really hard, pass your turn. now killing you on this turn would be amazing. this is rough, man. i mean flame barrier is really good. you need to play vicious. that's your card. and then fisticuffs means you take note. we've just made it through the turn. okay.
-
35:53
i have been debuffed to oblivion but still 14 energy. okay, this is where it goes crazy. get bones bones. i have too many i have too many cards get bones. i'm going to phone you should have owned you. i'm gonna phone you draw a bunch of cards make you bone and now the party the party begins. probably yeah, yeah, yeah.
-
36:24
yeah, one of those 52 damage to all enemies. the question is you do 18 to a random enemy times four. it's actually 27 times four, which is really good, which to be honest with you makes me think i don't need to use a potion and we could save our potion for the door maker. now the door maker, we don't mind the exhaust turn. the draw turn is going to be annoying, but we don't mind the exhaust turn. this time you should use your decks right away. gaining two extra strength. i think we care.
-
37:01
or do you just do this gains one strength? and then you use this later when there's more of them. trigger the cascade, okay, okay, i'm feeling awesome by the way. these cards exhaust, which is not a big deal. even twin strike, not a big deal. we make you weak and vulnerable. honestly, you don't have to play colossus, so don't play it. and you don't have to play twin strike, you don't have to play it. we're gonna hit you with a few big attacks after we get really strong. have we played juggling? we did.
-
37:49
in that case, you do 27 damage, you do 21. one, two, three, bring it back, hit them again. go ahead and with one of those. dominate, this is a huge turn for dominate and we have so much energy, thank god. okay, well vulnerable, vulnerable, ton of strength, ton of strength. happily still play that. we lost our energy cascade. yeah, well i have 22 strength, so not all that concerned about it.
-
38:28
beautiful turn, restart the energy cascade. and then y'all, i think it's mission accomplished, let's put it that way. no, mr. door, i expect you to die. it's simply put the greatest run of slade of spire i've ever been a part of. what a run. and became so clear so fast that it was not even in danger.
-
39:06
for now, thanks for watching. i hope you've enjoyed it. if you did, click the like button. i've said a great deal. of course, subscribe if you want to see more in the future. for now, thanks for watching and i'll see you next time. later!
