gamers, we're back after a really good run that didn't get what it needed to get in order to be a great run. but it was still really good. without a doubt, we go for money trees. enchant all card rewards in the first fight with glam. so basically we're going all in on pre flop, first hand we see.
-
0:24
please for the love of god give us a card that when it goes off twice is more than twice as good. do you know what i mean when i say this? there are some cards that them being played twice is better than it being played one time, two times. you can hear me out, okay? like for example, a card that like a rip and tear is a good example because it repeating allows you to hit four times instead of hitting
-
0:56
two times, which is literally double but also for something like the phantom would be huge because of the fact that slippery is such an outsized detriment to our chances of success. i mean i think that i think we did very well here.
-
1:11
i think that probably you look at something like glasswork and you say 10 block and 2 glass or that's a good example. and you're going to say well one card times two is always equal to two cards. no it's not bro because sometimes playing one strike doesn't kill an enemy because they have 9 hp and then they hit you for 50.
-
1:33
playing 2 is worth infinite times more because it doesn't just do 12 damage, it blocks 50, okay? use your head for a second to do some interpretation. this is in second grade arithmetic, okay? yeah, remove... i'm still gonna say remove a strike, but obviously add a guilty. and then... birdonis egg? dude, why not, okay? we're gonna need something that does some damage. we did just remove a strike, but...
-
2:10
we're gonna need something that does some damage. and berdanis egg obviously is not that, but one day, one day it could be. i don't even... when you hatch it, it just gives you a card, right? like i think this is only the third time i've had it. which is so funny because the first time i got it, i was like, oh, it was on my first run i think. i was like, this must be a thing that happens on every run now. you can't not take glacier. with 19 gold, there's no reason to go to a shop, man.
-
2:39
vantum. glass is gonna nuke vantum, which is actually really nice. huge. so we're gonna be doing 8 damage. 8 damage. but if i zap ya, and then i evoke, we'll do 16 to everything and then we'll just kill ya. it's looking a little bit like that silent run right now. honestly, i think the focus strike could be good too. okay, so you really do want to hatch the verdunus egg, i guess. oh, it's a 0 cost card that does 14 damage. that's pretty good, man!
-
3:15
if you're doing 13, i would like to... i'll tell you what, i'd like to block for 12. actually, i feel like so far, i mean, we haven't added that much to our deck, but i actually think we have like a really, really decent thing going here. the double glass taking very small amount of damage. let's burst out as much as we can. i think slippery is not going to be much of a problem, and i'm really glad that we have the kind of passive damage from our orbs.
-
3:50
ah man. that can hopefully whittle him down. is this a... the chosen cheese did some work for us last time. this time i'm gonna choose the commons though. let me think about what we might want to cook up, man. some vulnerability, mayhaps. and you know what, man, some more aoe. even though it's the sweeping beam, i'm very unexcited to take it, but i think this is a good fight for us. swoop, the strike.
-
4:27
kusarigama is one of those things i always forget that i have it and then i'm like, i think if you could look at the data from the run easily, you would be like, well this actually did like 20% of my damage, even though it's a relic that i barely gave the time of day. 20% might be a stretch but it seems to, it comes through when you need it the most man.
-
4:51
i think we definitely like the dual cast first and then the glacier and i mean that's real this is looking all right man considering these are the enemies that normally cause me a lot of problems much like the silent run though we are a little um front loaded we don't scale um at all at all at all now none of these really help
-
5:18
i don't really mind a hologram that, cause like to bring back a glacier, a bird's, a bird's might be the best or a glasswork. and those are really important cards for us. you make it do 18. 16 block is pretty solid too. it's really six extra block once, but when you put it that way, i'm not as excited about it. we basically want to race you. so i think we take thrumming hatchet, even though there's a situation where i think like,
-
5:55
those other cards that were in there might be more valuable. i'm gonna make a bet that we get you without needing plating. now this one's tough just because we have like so many cards that we actually like.
-
6:07
that's really good. i think you just say, forget glacier, man, because we're going to kill you next turn anyway. wait, this went so well. at first it looked really scary, but then it actually went so well and we remove our curse and we get penneb, which i'm probably not going to pay attention to, but feral, bro. feral returning the birdonis egg? the one doing the most damage has to pay the highest price.
-
6:39
it's that simple. you always have to question your motives when you don't play a glacier. you always have to prove to yourself that that's the right play, because it feels so wrong. you know what? i'm feeling pretty darn good about this one, man. feeling like you don't need any of those. i'm feeling like an elite is worth a try. this one, i mean, pen nib on a on a bourdonis egg would really hit the spot. should hologram first, i guess, now that i think about it. but what do we want, man? i don't know if that was the move.
-
7:27
right, we even get to use actually that's pretty good. it saves us from having to upgrade beam cell right off the bat. i'll level with you. i'm more scared. am i? because what am i going to get? we have pen nib and a bird on us coming next turn. i think we just kill you but we have to take 14 to make it happen. it was i mean, we're still gonna take like five then regal pillows really nice too.
-
8:01
and an ftl, we're kind of, i mean this can be great too, but we're kind of in like a zero cost attack build. i think it's a rest angle even though it bugs me a little bit to be doing it. and then this early pharoah is so crazy man, that's so huge. give me the plating and the zap. let's work this slippery down as soon as possible. no zero cost ands. well, i think it's easy enough. give me a focus and a glacier and then we'll say, you know, that's that.
-
8:33
the lightning's doing what it does, man. you still got four slippery, but that's not that bad. we get two of that out of the way with ftl. verdunus comes through in the clutch. next turn we can redraw our good attacks. pay attention to pen nib. like this fight could be pretty much over really soon. so this turn, like, is just not great for us. but having three glass orbs out there, it's like getting two strikes a turn for the first turn. i think i'd rather draw twice.
-
9:09
and get one vulnerability. and it actually worked out so well for us. now, we didn't miss the draw trigger on the second ftl, but i think it was necessary to get bird swooped to get the pen nib damage. so i hope you'll forgive me for that one. really, really good fight. honestly, fairy in a bottle. i mean, fairy in a bottle means we go for broke. it means we, until this is gone, we have to fight elites to free up the potion slot.
-
9:39
honestly, unenthused by everything, give me the genetic algorithm. which i like, but obviously you want it to show up a little earlier. sacrifice card rewards for relics. extra energy after the third turn. well, from the third turn onwards. we don't actually have energy problems. that's not necessary. i think it's a sacrifice card rewards angle, man. and we really want to be aggro. this is a triple elite path on the left. i mean, it's not an awesome first turn.
-
10:24
this is nice though, that is really nice. and then we wanna make sure that you die. that will do it. this will kill two of you and then the one will die next to her. okay, totally fine. a self repair would be nice just to make up for the difference that we have, the damage we take on each fight basically. just give me the gold. i think in a weird way, i almost think we wanna play it conservatively. we already have glam. so for once i'm not making the mistake of trying to put an enchantment on a card that already has an enchantment.
-
11:07
i think we embrace feral. and if we have hp, we need to make feral cost 1. it costing 2 is like the only thing i'm really not enthusiastic about with this build right now. that and wishing i also had a second opportunity to take boot sequence because turns out it would really come in handy to have 10 block on the first turn. or ever. okay, we'll beam sell ya. i really don't want you getting away with feral.
-
11:45
i think that's important for us. another sacrifice. ice cream! okay. i like it! defend hologram, defend doesn't get us where we need to go but it will do some damage. i don't think anyone would deny that it'll... well, it won't do some damage. it'll generate some block, i should say, but you get the idea. it's not going great so far.
-
12:28
just keep in mind, we have fairy in a jar. we didn't play feral that turn, so we definitely like this, a beam that sweeps, a focus strike, and a bird sweep. let's not even take our chances. we definitely want feral out there. i'm actually starting to realize maybe this run isn't even close to as good as i thought it was, and i was just woefully incorrect, i suppose, about the relative strength of the run, but
-
13:04
i really, i really, i don't want to go down that angle because i feel like it's, we've still got lots of opportunities. let's put it that way. our next attack does do double damage man, but you really, you can't be playing anything but beam cell because we do need to put up some block at least. because i really think we're going to need to hold fairy in a bottle for the elite fight unfortunately. we probably should have played it differently to be honest. and you should have doubled up on the bird swoop without a doubt but
-
13:41
ftl kind of an okay consolation prize. now this, this i can get down with. okay. recovered a little bit. give me a sacrifice. none of this is too, i'm not too enthusiastic about it. let's put it that way. and then this is a very important decision. i think it's gotta be spinner. spinner! you guys ever see the simpsons? it's for a long time, it's a heck of a show. i would really recommend it in case you've never heard of it. but glass should make pretty short work.
-
14:15
of this fight, but i would be very very surprised if we don't use our potion. and then some. i mean we could guarantee a kill which is better. oh no we can't because we're weak actually. in that case we'll play that. be nice to rest. it'd be a really good opportunity for us to have a bit of a rest. definitely feel like you feral and then bird swoop will return to us at double damage and then
-
15:03
this is kusarigama which kills you. okay. auracalcum's really nice, man. i mean, bulk up would be sweet for us. we just don't have the energy to do it. we have ice cream, but... really tough choice, to be honest. really tough choice. i think we... we need the deck so badly. where are we going next? oh my god. i don't know, we're going to a campfire. it's okay. well, we're gonna be aggressive then.
-
15:37
are we gonna do... it's gonna be campfire then elite? okay i'm gonna take a relic first. the relic is gremlin horn which answers a question from the last video. then we're gonna rest. how do i feel about 43 hp? i think i feel like a shop is actually the move. i know i said we wanted to be aggressive but this might let us live a little longer. we are on a zero cost build. so i feel like an all for one is really good.
-
16:12
the first time you play, we only have one power but you only need one power to make permafrost do something. and then maybe a charge battery, because we're light on block right now. 37, it's a slight overheal which is inefficient, but if it allows us to feel good about fighting the elite, i'm okay. and you know what? sure, we'll use our extra 10 hp to upgrade a card which we've not done in a while. definitely not, it's feral for one that changes everything man.
-
16:46
especially because it also gives us block. okay, now i feel... i wouldn't say i feel like we got it locked up, but i definitely feel like we're in less of a precarious position. and if i may frame it in the most positive way possible, you know, a lot of people would probably say it's actually good that we lost faerie in a bottle because it means that we were one of the few people who used the potion instead of just letting it go to waste. how do you feel about that? probably feel pretty silly, don't you? love this.
-
17:27
you're dead next turn. everything was fine. we're two away from pale's wings, so if we really like what we get on the card reward, you should take it. it is a zero cost attack. we just don't have that much lightning reliably. i don't think our orbs are a key focus. this is a sacrifice angle for me. and then this is for all the marbles right here. obviously, you need feral. this is actually really good because you play bird swoop, then bird swoop with
-
18:02
pen nib, then you play, well you might as well play ftl first, then you play all for one, and you get an ftl and a bird swoop. and you know what, while we're here, would have been nice to have that vuln out earlier, but i mean that's what i get for not using the potion first. it's entirely my own fault of course. now it gains three tainted. so if i play one block, one block is less block because we have orichalcum. for once the man remembered.
-
18:39
it's one of our best cards so it has to be played but does it have to be played? because instead we could play that and then this and then this and you might say nl that's not enough wait it is because of kusarigama i was just trying to increment pen nib to be honest, but that's got to be a sacrifice for a relic. okay passive decks we're gonna rest and then skill and power definitely a power potions worth a lot
-
19:14
not the most efficient run so far between the over healing rests and the tiny mailbox when we're full on potions, but it's what it is, bro. yeah, definitely a free bulk up. we're gonna love that barrel into a probably sweeping beam first just to see what you draw. wait, is the boy learning? is the boy learning a little bit? is he committing things to memory? and we have ice cream so you don't have to waste energy.
-
19:49
i mean if there's a good reason to play something and there is there for sure but you could save some energy even though we don't have like an x card to pay it off. this is definitely all for one. kasarigama. ftl still drew a card that's right. so close to getting the pen nib bird swoop but alas. this is effectively extra block. you know now we have pen nib for the next turn. 12th block taking 19 not that bad.
-
20:30
absolutely horrible use of pen nib, but the ability to get two vuln makes it tempting enough for me, i think. and at least we have the energy to play two frantically. you're gonna play genetic algorithm, but you obviously want to draw first if you can. i don't think it's gonna be as... as automatic as the last run.
-
21:05
i think it's still worth striking. because we really kind of bodied this guy in the last round. i think this one might get a little touchy, but we're going to do what we can. definitely the double bird swoop is so key for us.
-
21:21
the glasswork for 12. nothing wrong with this, man. move him back one. we might not have to use the other potion. if we do, like, no harm, no foul, but... wait, this is huge! because then we get two bird swoops, one of which does double damage. and we obviously could have done that in a different order to get the volna out there, but at least we got that done. okay. you can play the seed, okay? there's a great status build on here. if i'd known that in advance, i mean, every card that we've had the opportunity to pick up has been a status card.
-
21:59
d frag is like, i think you just can't pass on it. dyadim maybe? two or fewer cards take half damage from enemies. or swift 3. who or fewer cards take half damage from enemies? we're a zero cost deck so as much, this is so good. i just have a hard time believing we're gonna play two bird swoops and then be like okay pass the turn. i really do like this.
-
22:29
maybe not here. and then, i mean, seven random combats with one hp would be nice. i don't think anyone would deny that. especially if they're on a similar path. then three zero cost cards that draw cards the first time you play them is also like... especially because like all for one works around combos. you want to play a bunch of zero cost cards, then play all for one. i think we're going to do it that way. and like, what do i want it on? well, i want to have a good reason to play
-
23:03
genetic algorithm every time. and then i think on zero cost cards, so they draw three ones for zero. now this is a tough decision and i think like it's you get three different people, they might make three different decisions on the same run there. but i mean that's what it's all about man. you got no idea what it's like to be the guy to quote michael cera quoting tony soprano. and then this already gives us 20 really nice. and then this draws some cards too.
-
23:40
and then this draws some cards, but you'd probably rather play this first. but the problem is that it draws some cards. it's probably gonna overdraw, but you have to play it and it doesn't even overdraw. but then you get this out there and then this definitely overdraws, but you absolutely have to take it. and we got it to work with pen nib completely just skill, all skill as you could probably imagine. now, like dominating these enemies doesn't really mean that much.
-
24:11
but it could be worse, it could be the other way around. you could be getting dominated by these enemies. you're done. that's a sacrifice i'm willing to make. add decay but a card that exhausts... yeah, okay, obviously. i mean, this is the easiest choice of all time. already enchanted genetic algorithm so i couldn't enchant any... i already enchanted genetic algorithm with a little bit of draw. see, this sucks because now i wanted to remove the curse but you can't not take miniature tent.
-
24:51
it's just a it's the i would become a chatter of myself if i didn't take miniature tent. i would be like, why would you not take 10 when you have the money for 10? i'm not even 100% convinced is the right idea but it's 10 bro. you get you see 10th you buy 10th and then i mean you're in a world of hurt and with pen there but completely skill driven yet again man. the lad can't be stopped.
-
25:24
on turn one, on subsequent turns i have no idea to be honest but that's a sacrifice. bronze scales. not exactly what we're looking for but that's life man. it's a tough choice because the shop is useless. maybe we go here here but then you got to fight two elites.
-
25:52
or do you go here? that gets you one card upgrade at the very least. okay, i mean we could use some upgrades. we have not upgraded many cards. the shop of course a waste of our time. genetic algorithm doesn't really need it to be honest. it's already gotten there. beam cell doubling the... oh and the two potions man. beam cell doubling the volem which could quadruple the volem. well i guess they're still doubling but you get the idea.
-
26:24
it's doubling a doubling and the relics are going crazy. okay, you're a bit of a toughie for us. let's use both potions. i mean adaptive strike sure. i definitely feel like meteor strike has also got a certain je ne sais quoi. let's draw with our zero cost card first. then we get feral which lets us play a beam cell. but do we wanna play beam cell first when all the because we need to bring back a beam cell.
-
27:03
now i'm hoping all for one will also bring back two cards, not just one. it brought back just bird swoop, but that's fine. 26 damage against a nasty elite. i'm not gonna cry too much. let's bring back, bring back all for one, obviously, and then smack ya. you're still vom, so we get this out here. and then you put up as much block as you need to and save some energy with your ice cream, bro. i didn't even think about who we're going up against. the aeon glass, that's new.
-
27:46
just kidding. let's draw them and draw again. i mean, we got a lot of energy. we could draw again, and then kill you. beetlejuice in the ornamental fan. i don't think this is claw, man. we're too late into it for a claw build. go with the, go for the eyes. maybe worth it, i'll admit, but what's done is done, man. almost, i mean, you could, sure, you could make zap zero cost.
-
28:23
we could do four extra damage off bird swoop, which might actually be eight extra damage off of bird swoop. might need the regen potion for the bosses. the potions may not last that long, but we'll see. clarity extract is draw. i like draw. we need draw. we need draw right now. that's not what you want to draw. we'll defrag. the charge battery end turn. we should have lots of energy to work with on the next turn between ice cream and the charge battery.
-
29:05
well, it's the worst all for one anybody's ever seen. all of our zero cost cards are on the bottom of the deck. i think we'll play a glacier and literally pass the turn. again, giving us more energy for next turn when we draw exclusively zero cost cards. we have played pharaoh, so we get our first card back. we should play birdswoop, even though we're gonna overdraw. we're overdrawing with almost anything. the thing is, i don't want to play beam cell because you have three artifact anyway.
-
29:44
i mean, i'm gonna play it, but i didn't need to double it, i guess i should say. and you're doing two each, so we're taking ten? i think you just hold? this is gonna be a little nasty. he's getting like five strength, right? five strength dealing 45 damage. i mean, the doubled up bird swoop is kind of, that's your gimme, that's the bread and butter. taking two damage, meaningless, but we really wanna get as much damage done as possible on the next turn or two at least.
-
30:23
it's all for one. you bring back the bird swoop and then see what you can do. thank you kusarigama, very cool. kusarigama is doing work for us, man. there's no denying that. we get one more turn with which to do nothing. so we'll play one card and then move on. and then we really want to screw you up next turn. hologram into all for one. sweeping beam into hologram into... oh, okay! and then you bring back the first zero cost card, which is that of course. and then
-
31:02
i don't think we got quite enough to ruin your life. we got really close and we're not dead. if you do not play any attacks, gain four block. we're gonna play attacks every turn so that is essentially a useless relic. and this one if we like what we see we might as well take the card reward because we're not gonna get two options for card rewards. two more options i should say.
-
31:33
the rest still puts us back to basically full hp, if not literally full hp. so i'm not overly concerned about this one. oh, i haven't played feral yet, bro. not bad. we're still chilling, probably. we have pen nib. world's worst use of pen nib, but check this out. oh, really? does it suck to play beam cell three times on a single turn? yeah, a little bit. yeah, a little bit.
-
32:13
but it could have been worse, it could have been a card that's even worse to play three times in one turn. honestly, give me a big leap, just something fairly idiot proof, kind of close to an ideal outcome there on potions. so we're going in feeling all right, but with the aeon glass, i just never know cuz i've never ever beaten this boss. and i guess with the energy potion, there's really no reason not to, or with ice cream, there's no reason not to pop the energy potion right away.
-
32:51
we'll swoop you and then we'll ftl you. and then i do feel like it seems like an obvious answer. would i rather bird swoop than use? yeah, we'd rather because then two bird swoops where you're coming back to the core question at the start of the video. what's worth more? two bird swoops or a bird swoop that does double damage? two bird swoops is worth more because now we have things that scale with attacks and we can still get double damage on the all for one. you've got to evaluate every aspect of the counterfactuals. we get a wither in our hand but
-
33:30
so be it bro. okay, you're doing 32 damage. i'm already blocking for enough. we're gonna take a little bit of damage, but to not get you even closer to incrementing, i think we just cut our losses on this one. absolutely fine. we'll definitely double up on a beam cell and start to chunk through that artifact. definitely does feel like you hologram back an all for one. and then you beam cell through that. and then you play two attacks, which gets you a double damage bird swoop.
-
34:13
and then we might as well charge battery, we'll push the energy forward next turn anyway. lots of withers, but like we're doing some damage. just wish we had like the shuriken or something. i didn't upgrade a card at our last campfire, did i? i didn't upgrade a card at our last campfire, did i? you could be honest with me. i'm in a secure enough position to hear bad news. i'll level with you this turn, we play nothing. kick it forward, kick the can down the road with your ice cream. and we get four extra block out of the ripple basin. how about that horrible turn?
-
34:44
let's charge battery, hologram, charge battery, and pass the turn. literally just the kind of turn you want to move on from. now on this one, have i played any zero cost cards? i haven't, so it's horrible timing, and you're doing 32 damage. you got to play something. i mean, maybe you got to play everything on this turn because there's not much point to kick in 11 energy down the road. give me a double up, a potential double up on beam cell here, and don't play too many cards.
-
35:25
it's definitely looking like it's another tragic story of aionglass ruining a run. but at least, at least they got rid of the door maker, the easiest boss in the game. at least they got rid of him. yes, they did. we gotta get bird swoop out there. the hope being that genetic algorithm could then shuffle us up and draw it again. yeah, it didn't go down like that.
-
35:56
still got 2 energy and 27 damage off of that which means we're dying i think so i gotta try to draw something at least. we really live with 1? no, we take we live with 2. we live with 2. god it would just be so satisfying to have killed you with that but i think we just die to wither plus 2s.
-
36:23
oh, alas! the aeon glasses stopped us yet again. but again, much like the last one, i think it was a very good run, a very clean run until the very end. i hope you've enjoyed it. if you did, click the like button. i hope it's not a great deal. subscribe if you want to see more in the future. for now, thanks for watching. i'll see you next time. later!
