so if you flawless the boss, you actually get better loot. you get a health upgrade. so those little green things that come out are called hegemoni dollars and you use those in a store to unlock extra stuff to add to the item pool. hegemoni dollars. like, lock the jobs, i think. you gotta find the npc that allows you to pay them though, so that's a whole thing too. yeah. i went in with the default pistol to fight the gatling gull. probably not the best move.
