this is really embarrassing, but when i was really sick, i recorded the first episode of metal gear rising and there's like tons of cutscenes in that game and i was coughing like crazy throughout them. so i was like, it doesn't matter what i do during these cutscenes, like i'll just edit it out in post. then i didn't for a lot of it. and there's just like the second to last cutscene or the last cutscene is just like this enormous wet juicy heart. and i just got all these tweets that were like, northernlion, what the fuck man?

and then, you know what the other one was? like a month later, or around the same time, metal gear rising revengeance came out and people were like, eh, it's okay. i think i gave it another three. i beat that game twice. i think, looking back, metal gear rising revengeance was also really cool. i wish i'd given it a four. because i think i would love to see more in that series.

hey, welcome back to northernlion plays metal gear rising revengeance. we are still trucking along here. if you are still joining us, we just defeated wolf and i'm gonna try to sneak around here and do a little bit of stealth killing if i can. because it's easier than fighting the enemies all at once. although actually sometimes it's better to fight enemies in waves because i find it easier to actually, you know, do the spine killing maneuver which is how you regenerate health.

and we also have a dodge, which is the right trigger here. so, right trigger dodge, left trigger is our dash. so let me explain how the dodge works. there you go! when the attacks are coming towards you, if you dodge, you will actually just completely avoid taking damage. and this will give you an opening to attack the enemy. and this is what i mean when i say that it's really fluid in the same kind of sense that a bayonetta or a dmc or a metal gear rising was.
