the like 1995 anime and everybody online is like this is a landmark for like cyberpunk you know near future dystopia blah blah blah and i was like i've seen it all before but i've seen it all before in things that came after horror west. it's the most pervasive in cases where it's a really popular movie like you said with the matrix those ripples went on into a ton of other movies so it starts to really lose some of its specialness because of that.
