one thing that roguelikes do a lot is give you too many decisions and you end up getting decision fatigue. you go, i've already, every single time a screen pops up, i have to analyze three different alternatives. and that's fine as long as the screen pops up with a choice like that every five minutes. but if three pop up a minute, then i just start clicking randomly because i'm like, i want to get back to the game. it's just too much work for like, for me to analyze every single one. it's boring.

how did we get here bro? indie developers took the wrong lessons from roguelikes. they took too many lessons from hades and not enough lessons from the binding of isaac and now i gotta play chinese goon fmv games on steam. they fucked me! they fucking fucked me! i can't play anymore indie deck building roguelikes that are like no disrespect but are like a six or a seven out of ten. this is like on the last episode of five hearts under one roof.

conditions on this sector, i believe. i almost said on this floor. playing too many roguelikes, man. okay, so shields are down. or too many roguelike likes, because i know people get super snobbish about whether ftl or isaac or spelunky are true roguelikes, because there's no ascii graphics. they're not set in a dungeon or something.
