i forgot what i was going to say. basically if it's a passive item, we're going to reroll it. so, we'll take the range upgrade because it's passive and we'll reroll the active because it's basically going to be functionally worthless for us. otherwise it's just going to be a reroll pedestal that we're not going to get any use out of. whereas, you know, the range upgrade is not going to change my run drastically in all likelihood. of course i take damage immediately after saying i wouldn't. it's not going to meaningfully change my run in all likelihood, at least not by itself.

i forgot what i was going to say now, because i'm just overwhelmed by the staggering amount of enemies around. but i resent when games force you to do side quests in order to stay properly leveled. but what's the fix for that? it's to make levels scale with you for the whole game, which i kind of find obnoxious too. make the side quests fun enough that you want to do them, yeah.
